Welcome to the Enchanted Coffins shop, once so known by that title simply for its beautiful designs (back when the Coffin Maker was more willing to actually chance beautiful designs), but now that is not so. The poor Coffin Maker, his name is Mark by the way, one day got a strange shipment of wood from a... mysterious benefactor. It was ordinary wood, or seemed so at sight and touch.

The Coffin Maker was pleased (if not a bit confused) by this donation, and he quickly put the wood to use, making many coffins with it. They were beautiful, like always, and left the store quickly. All but one, which he decided to add to his display units, for it was fairly well made.

Once the wood was used up, he thought nothing more of it. It was just a donation, and it wasn't as though it were rare wood or anything. There had been nothing special about it...

But were that true, this would be a very short story. Unfortunately for Mark, the wood was in fact... enchanted. After a few days of the coffin sitting in his display room he was awoken in the middle of the night by a strange... cracking noise. It was loud, and at first he wondered if there were an intruder in his house (and place of business).

No, in fact it was the coffin! Strange cracks had appeared all over its surface, and... no, that movement inside must have been his imagination, or else he needed to put down some mouse traps. With a shrug the Coffin Maker returned to bed, figuring that he would inspect the coffin in the morning to discover the source.

Yet as he did so, he didn't realize that he would be awoken again in the morning, this time by the sound of wood crashing to the floor. Startled, he raced down the stairs and... stared. There was a strange looking creature sitting in the middle of the now completely destroyed coffin! It was smaller than a human, and looked just as confused as he...

Before he could even hope to try to discover the source, a note arrived from the 'mysterious benefactor'. Another shipment of wood was on the way... And if Mark didn't use it all, he was going to face 'consequences'. Now a bit terrified, the young artisan knew he had to make more coffins. But he couldn't in good faith sell them to those looking for a way to entomb their loved ones! So he changed the focus... now he would sell them to those who liked to collect curiosities! And who... didn't mind strange creatures appearing out of nothing!

This was going to be a challenge...

1. No disrespecting the shop staff.
2. Actually, no disrespecting anyone. Play nice, folks.
3. No stealing art!
4. Don't whine if you don't win the flatsale/raffle/auction/etc. Good things come to those who wait.
5. Don't complain if we add new rules, we reserve the right to update this as we see fit, and say no to whatever we want to. This is our shop, we do get the final say.
6. Pricing may fluctuate if demand goes up. Just putting that one out there.

About Angels: Everyone knows about angels, yes? Come from the heavens, have feathery white wings and halos... Well, I don't really think THIS sort comes from the heavens, and they don't seem have white wings or halos, but there's no denying that they're angelic. Many seem to like doing things to help others, often acting as a guardian of sorts.

About the Coffins: These are your traditional coffins, though somehow they seem to have sprouted wings from the sides... they're feathery and soft!

Effect of
User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.- Hammer: Angels are just as susceptible to the negative effects of their coffins being cracked open early as any other being, perhaps even more so! What can happen if you do it early? You'll have to wait until someone decides to break apart their coffin before you can find out.
- Hammer, Wood, and Nails: Yes, even precious angels can get stronger with being in their coffins longer. There are many effects this can have on an angel, but no one quite knows what those effects ARE, yet...

Known Hairstyles:

About Demons: Demons are of course exactly what you would think! Traditionally evil (though some have been known to defy this), they have horns, wings, and cloven feet, and often have some sort of tribal marking or tattoos upon their bodies. Most dress very sparingly, though there are some that do dress quite well. They may be hard to find, however...

About the Coffins: These are your traditional coffins, though somehow they seem to have sprouted wings from the sides... and they don't look very friendly.

Effect of:
User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.- Hammer: Breaking apart a demon's coffin before it's ready can have disastrous effects, you know... You still want to do it? Well, be warned that the demon will be negatively effected somehow, sometimes in multiple ways. Don't say we didn't warn you... We just don't know exactly how it'll be affected yet.
- Hammer, Wood, and Nails: ...I'm not so sure this is a good idea either. Are you trying to worry me to death?! Keeping your demon in the coffin longer will only make it stronger, more skilled! I can't tell you how yet, and I kind of hope no one does it so I have to find out...

About Elves: These pointy-eared beings typically hail from the woods and forests, and are skilled hunters. In fact, very few elves prefer to spend their time indoors, preferring to be out in the sunlight or at least under the open sky. Most elves have better than human eyesight, but not quite good enough to see as well as a cat in the dark.

About the Coffin: A very earthy looking box, it's made with sheets of bark and typically pine (though sometimes other barks are used). It seems as though the door hinges were grown from the side of the box to the front... Now how could that have happened?

Effect of:
User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.- Hammer: Breaking apart the elven coffin early... It's got plenty of effects on the creatures, though none of them are known yet. Poor elves...
- Hammer, Wood, and Nails: The elves are already rather powerful creatures, and you want to make them more so? Well, if you decide to go through with it, keeping them in the coffin longer will have a beneficial effect on these earthy beings. What those are will remain shrouded in mystery until someone does the dirty deed...

About Vampires: Your typical bloodsuckers, Vampires are one type of undead. They have fangs and typically dress in a much more posh manner than the other species. The typical type of vampire needs to suck blood, but are too weak to use mind control or fly or turn into vampire bats. However they are strong enough to walk in the sun, their skin just burns very easily and their eyes are extremely sensitive. And no, they do not sparkle.

About the Coffin: A very, very simple box with a metal cross on the front. The wood is typically painted over and it has metal plate going across the front. Otherwise not out of the ordinary.

Effects of:
User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.- Hammer: Breaking down the vampire's coffin is a very mean thing to do! Doing so will give your poor vampire weaknesses and deformities they would otherwise not have... None of which have been discovered yet, unfortunately.
- Hammer, Wood, and Nails: You... you want to reinforce the vampire's coffin? Are you serious?! Well, whatever floats your boat, I suppose... Doing this will give your vampire new skills and invulnerabilities, as well as having a positive effect on them physically. None of them are known yet, however...

About Ghosts: Your typical spectral creatures, Ghosts float through the air and are incorporeal beings. They lack the capability to physically interact with our world for more than a slight touch, but they can see and hear everything. They can also be seen and heard by all but the strongest skeptics.

About the Coffin: Well, it's actually less of a coffin and more of an urn. It's a square box with a lid and a indent on the front for hand-painted design, although sometimes a name seems to... appear on this panel. The top has a small knob on the top to flip backwards, but otherwise creates a tight seal. Mark makes urns much less regularly than he does other coffins, so you will only rarely find them in the normal sales.

Effect of:
User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.- Hammer: Using just the hammer to smash apart the urn, opening it prematurely, will have a myriad of negative effects on the ghost. Unfortunately none of them are known as of yet...
- Hammer, Wood, and Nails: Reinforcing the coffin will cause your Ghost to strengthen, giving them more abilities and positive physical effects. Unfortunately none of them are known as of yet...

Sales
Sales are held... well, really whenever Aylee and Sal want to. We have currently three different types of sales, Flatsales, Raffles, and Auctions, all pretty self explanatory as far as how they're done.
- Flatsales: Price is 5k
- Raffles: Price is 200g
- Auctions: The starting price on these vary as they are typically done for customs or for special limited edition creatures.

Cracking
Unless otherwise specified at time of sale, your regular types of coffins will take four days to begin cracking, and another two days of cracking before the creature inside is revealed.

There may be ways to fortify the coffin to increase the wait, or to smash the coffin apart and decrease it. Both options will have an effect on the creature inside... But you'll have to wait and see what it is! (Hammer, and Hammer/Nails/Wood combo are coming soon!)

Adult Stage
Creatures will not reach their adult stage unless they return to their broken coffins for at least three days, if not more. In order for this to work, however, the Coffin Maker will need to repair the coffin.

Adult Stages are completely unique lineart, typically from the bust up. Because of the custom art they do cost quite a bit, and those who roleplay often in the shop do get a discount (though this is at our discretion). The cost for non-RPers is 60k, for those who (in our opinion) do RP quite a bit, it's only 30k.

Custom information
We are not yet offering customs, so this information is sealed.

Welcome to the Grand Laurel Hotel, a twenty-five story building that in some ways more resembles a palace than a hotel. Everything looks expensive (and please don't break anything, we don't think you will enjoy the bill), and the fountain in the foyer alone looks as though it may have cost over half a million dollars. Glass and crystal, marble and stone, flowers you've never even seen before... This hotel is more than a little expensive. At the front desk there are about six employees milling around, and another six or so are running errands around the floor, carrying bags and pushing trollies laden with meals...

Upon purchase of a coffin, the Coffin Maker has been instructed by the mysterious benefactor to give the purchaser a calling card. It states as such:

Upon the cycle completion of your vessel
Please attend to this location:

The Grand Laurel Hotel
1938 Story Street

At the front desk as for either
Aileen
or
Sal

Those are the only words printed upon the card, nothing more, nothing less. They look strange at first, and one may be tempted to throw the card away at first, but we urge that you do not. Those holding one of the cards will be given a free one week stay at the hotel with free food, drink, and other amenities (access to the pool, the sauna, game rooms, the library, and more), as well as access to a very... special room that seems to have toys and small areas made for smaller creatures, such as the creatures from the coffins...

OOC Information

1. RP is not a requirement for owning a Coffin, or the creature inside. It's simply just a perk.
2. The guardian of your coffin creature can be anyone you choose, your IC self, an OC, or even a character from another shop (assuming the other shop permits it).
3. The adult stage discount is achieved via RP, and how much you must RP before getting the discount is at the proprietor's discretion.
4. You may do whatever you wish at the hotel, and after the initial 'week' of stay, returning to the special room is completely free.
5. ICly the only staff who know of the calling card (and the special room and mysterious benefactor) are Aileen and Sal. These are characters played by Aylee and Citrus x Paradisi respectively, but you don't need to actually RP with us to enter the hotel. You can if you WANT, but you can also assume you'd have been granted a nice room and access to everything for just showing the card.

CitrusxParadisi, otherwise known as Citrusy or Sal, is new to the B/C pets scene. However he really is very interested and willing to... Oo, look, a shiny!

Aylee has been around B/C pets before, though it hasn't been for a good four years or so, now. She was the proprietor of the shop Sin'aeis, that took food and souls and turned it into (unique line art) children. Yum!

Sorry, pause in the story for a couple of minor edits: Mule not muse, and 8 of 30. I'm too lazy to actually go back and fix them.
14/30

So back to our story, one day the poor coffin maker got a mysterious shipment of wood from a mysterious benefactor.
15/30

Yes, lots of mysterious mysteries going on.
