Hey guys its your friendly Mills loving GCDer.
Someone said something about a Reference Guide so i thought i might try and make one.
Mouton Twins: Catherine(?) Link
Queen Corvina: Queen Odette: Link
Onei the Dark Unicorn: Princess Luna (My little pony: friendship is magic): Link
Bed Hair: Common hairstyle for men when waking up late for work/class
Cup of Milk: Common belief that warm milk helps you to relax and go to sleep easier.
Demeter Nacht: Demeter Nacht is an item in tribute to the rondeau poem called "In Flanders Fields," written by Canadian Lieutenant Colonel John McCrae during WWI. In the second battle of Ypres, in the Flanders region the German launched the first chemical attack of the war, resulting in widespread death. The Lt. Colonel noted how quickly poppies grew back around the graves of the falled Canadian soldiers and wrote the poem after having to buy one of his closest friends. The item description literally takes the second to last line from the poem:
Erteszek's Sleep: Stylish lingerie.
Flight of Fancy: Dreaming of being able to fly(?)
Flowing Lucid Dreams: Lucid Dreaming, a state of which on is aware that they are dreaming. Link
Fluff n' Stuff: Childhood stuffed animals, the reason i would think this is in a rig about dreaming would be because young children usually have a special animal they sleep with constantly.
Guiding Lodestar: A Lodestar (pretty simple one) Link
Night Stalker: A card from Magic the Gathering. Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite: Link
Northern Starlight: The sky/shooting stars
Ornithophobia: The phobia of birds. Also a tribute to the eurythmics's sweet dreams.
Sleepless Awake: Insomnia possibly caused my nightmares (the companion)
Spiral Hypnotist: The stereotype of spirals being used in hypnosis.
Mare Set's: Imp's based on Anxiety and Fear.
Beautiful Nightmare: Beyonce song of the same name
Blade of the Dawn Sky: FFVersusXIII, as is the item it is a recolor of
REMemories: a possible Silent Hill reference. Considering that those games take place in dreams and you remember them because of how one remembers REM sleeping.
Sparkleplum Dreams: Sparkleplum dreams is a reference to the Christmas Carol with sugarplums, Fatale Monstrum's description fits song lyrics by the band Second Person which go "Demons die and new ones come to feed, And then every time you bleed, You just give them what they need."
Dream Air Set's: based on the practice of burning incense and spraying aromatic oils, used in rituals, aromatherapy and meditation. Different scents are supposed to affect your mood in different ways, thus the different moods of the individual items.
Princess Estelle: Princess Estelle from Tales of Vesperia Link
(still adding of course)
If you know any please help me out. smile

Growliere
The main storyline of the RIG is based on Little Nemo. Winsor is named after the author of the Little Nemo comic. The general storyline of the animated adaptation is that Nemo is invited to Slumberland by the princess to be her playmate of the same age, and eventually the princess (and several others) gets held hostage by the Nightmare King. Winsor's bed and the way he falls out of it is identical to Nemo, Winsor's appearance and Titania's circus theme, etc.

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie,
In Flanders fields.
Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.

That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
