I've had this problem for quite some time and im not sher how or when it happened just one day began to do this and has been like this ever since.

the operating system i have is a HP windows 8 laptop.

the web browser i use is i Opera but i get the same issue if i use Google Chrome as well.

List of known profile bugs for Current (v2) Profiles:
  1. Bug: Dragging / Moving content
Description: Content added as Picture Decorations or Text Decorations, or the panels themselves, cannot be dragged using the user's mouse
Problematic Browsers: Chrome, Safari, and Opera
Further Details: This is caused due to Webkit/Blink having issues with the old Javascript which the Profile Editor uses.
Or, in the words of those more knowledgeable than me:
"The absolute positioning of the #columns element with a fixed height on the root document causes this. Because the #columns element is absolutely positioned the HTML and BODY will collapse (though less apparent since the HTML element is suppose to wrap around all of the content anyway). It becomes problematic though because they give it a height of 100%. That means the full view of the content before scrolling is where the HTML element is. Anything beyond that (scrolling down) Chrome doesn't handle well. Relative positioning and automatic height on the HTML element fixes the problem. However, the poorly supporting JS doesn't help any."
Temp Fix: Firefox and Internet Explorer do not have this problem, so switching to those browsers works.

  2. Bug: Duplicating Panels
Description: Dragging panels between columns sometimes causes the panels to duplicate
Problematic Browsers: Any (happens more often in Webkit/Blink browsers)
Further Details: Again, this is due to poor JS which Webkit/Blink does not get along with. It registers that you are dragging the entire column instead of a single panel.
Temp Fix: Happens less frequently in Firefox or IE, so switch to those while editing

  3. Bug: Extra pop-up windows from clicking on Equipment/Wishlist Items
Description: When clicking on Wishlist or Equipment items listed in the Wishlist or Equipment panels, extra pop-up boxes will display which cannot be removed. See this screenshot.
    Problematic Browsers: Any
Further Details: This is due to removing the Premium Sparkles, either through the Account Settings or through CSS
Temp Fix: I've been using this CSS code to fix it, but it would be nice if you guys could fix it yourselves so we wouldn't have to code it into every single profile:
    .premium_sparkle, #avatar_menu+div+div, noscript+script+script+noscript+div[style*='display']~div {display:none;}
    * As an extra sidenote to this, the premium sparkles are misaligned in Webkit/Blink browsers. Just set them to position: relative instead of absolute.

  4. Bug: Customized Panels Injecting into Theme Override
Description: Occasionally content from your Custom or Media panel will inject itself into the "User-specified Theme Background", thus causing the code in the CSS box to not apply. My current profile is an example of this (screenshot)
    Problematic Browsers: Any
Further Details: Not entirely sure of the cause of this.
Temp Fix: Typing "none" or a white space into the Theme > URL portion of the Profile Editor will clear this.

  5. Bug: Spoiler Buttons Breaking Pages
Description: When coded incorrectly, Spoiler buttons can break the entire Profile page -- merging panels inside of each other, taking the Profile Editor menu with it... Granted, some users have taken this to their advantage to create even more unique Profiles with "click" effects, but it's still a bug which causes more problems than benefits.
    Problematic Browsers: Any
Further Details: Missing an ending tag or adding too many ending tags can cause this
    Temp Fix: See this thread.

  6. Bug: Disabling the Navigation Header CSS
Description: The extra Navigation CSS added at the bottom of the Theme Override (from this staff update) can be disabled in order to remove or alter the Gaia Navigation bar.
    Problematic Browsers: Any
Further Details: Add an unclosed bracket { or an unclosed note /* at the bottom of your CSS Theme Override Code in order to do this.
Suggested Fix: Just make this CSS into its own embedded style sheet after the user-embedded style sheet

  7. Bug: Double quotes sanitized.
Description: Double quotes that is " get sanitized into the HTML entity code format, "
    Problematic Browsers: Any
Suggested Fix: use single quotes '

P.S. It has only taken like 5~6 years for you guys to get around to this. Thanks =w=;;

P.P.S. Have you guys considered letting users drag content into the #footer? That is, if you are planning on keeping the Current template.

  1. Bug: Database Error: Could not delete medias
Description: When a custom or media panel is added in the Current profile template it gets a unique ID which is stored in a database. When the panel is removed and the profile is saved it is deleted from the database; however, if all the panels are removed and then the profile is saved the panels are placed back into the profile. Except custom and media panels have their unique IDs removed resulting in the IDs #id_custom_ and #id_media_ resulting in the database error
    Browsers: All
Temp Fix: Use CSS to remove the panels. For some reason when you set a panel's display to 'none' when saved, if there are other visible panels when you set a single panel or set of panels to not be displayed, it physically removes the panel.

  2. Bug: Display Removal
Description: Not sure if it's really a bug, but as mentioned in the temp fix of the previous bug, setting a panel to not be displayed via display:none will result in it being physically removed if there are other existing panels.
    Browsers: All

  3. Bug: YouTube Parameter Sanitation
Description: Excluding the auto-play parameter, YouTube parameters are stripped from the YouTube URLs.
    Browsers: All
Temp Fix: changing YouTube URL domain to youtube.googleapis.com (now jp.youtube.com)

  4. Bug: "My Playlist" panel
Description: Not really a bug, but an outstanding issue that sometimes causes confusion
    Browsers: N/A
Suggested Fix: Remove the "My Playlist" panel option all together

Bug: Profile Reset
Description: When an account name is changed the Current template profile gets reset.

Bug: Missing and/or duplicated items; Unable to change avatar

Not sure if this belongs in this thread, but...

Bug: Misaligned wishlist items
Description: Seems to happen on every newer-version profile: Clicking on/hovering over the image of one item will give you the information for the item below and slightly to the left of it. Some item links disappear completely.
System/Browser: Windows 7, Google Chrome
It's due to the Premium Sparkles being misaligned sweatdrop (I added that as a side note to #3, but it should really have it's own bullet I guess)

Try to explain in your problem detail.
- where it happened -- during the saving processes of the current profile.
- how did it happen -- some stuff accidentally got moved around -- no big. But when I fixed it and saved it it placed duplicates of all the same content boxes. So I went in, deleted and saved them. But upon saving it would re-duplicate the content boxes in the same spot I just deleted them from. Several times it did this. Still can't fix it.
- what were you doing when it happened -- See above.

You need to have at least one panel on your profile when you Save or else things will revert. So just add a "place holder" panel (Details, Contact, whatever), delete your duplicated panels (do not delete the "place holder" panel), and then Save.

I constantly have three panels on at all times.

For clarification:

I always have my about me, wish list, and visitors on.

They accidentally got shifted over and were only half visible for some strange reason. I have no idea why.

So I saved it so I could see what was going on. When it went into view mode I had two of each content section or 'panel'. One along one row, one along the other row (you can see from going to my profile).

I then removed the spares out of the row I didn't want, keeping the original three I had all along, saved, and it just put the duplicates back.

Yes, but when you delete one of the "duplicates" (like deleting one of the Recent Visitors), it actually registers that you have deleted both of them.
So deleting all three at once, even if you think you are only deleting one of each of the pairs, means that you are deleting all six panels and therefore you have no panels left on your profile, so the editor reverts back to the last saved version of your layout which has panels.

Like I said earlier, add a random panel which is not already on your profile, delete your duplicates, Save, re-add the panels you want, and you should be good.
