Information about the sorts of creatures that inhabit our world.

This land is home to many kinds of people, and a variety of dark creatures. Each have their own strengths and weaknesses. Let's get to know them a Little better.

||Creatures of the Night||
(Just your average bloodsucking, dead raising kinda guys)
Vampires- They lurk, they vant to suck your blood. Quite strong in the moonlit hours, but be sure to be home before the sun rises.
Spellcasters- Need a healing potion? Need a cursed artifact to leave at an enemy's home. These are the people you want to talk to. Quite versatile, and adept and sneaking into 'society'.
Werewolves- Although they only go through a transformation once a month, the effects of being a lycanthrope linger through the rest of their lives as well. Excellent trackers. Good to have on a quest.
Necromancers- Feeling less than confident about the size of your...party? Necromancers can fix that. Their ability to summon the dead can give you an extra boost of...man power.
Ghosts- Subtle, but very useful. Ghosts are extremely stealthy (they can become invisible and go through walls...something even the best ninja can't do.)- although somewhat limited in strength.

||Mild Mannered Citizens||
(Your friendly stake wielding, chemical brewing neighbors)
Slayers- Clever and quite good at battling vampires. They are adept at some physical techniques, as well as the use of various artifacts in battle.
Hunters- Generally more physically able than Slayers, Hunters prefer a tooth-and-nail approach and generally battle Werewolves.
Researchers- Who can catch a sunbeam in their hand? A researcher, probably. And chances are they can show you how to shoot it into a vampire as well. Quite good at boosting the firepower of your team.
Clerics- Good at disenchanting people, places and things. Also helpful when it comes to healing. They have a fairly extensive knowledge of the dark mystical forces, and can be an extremely useful resource.
Paranormal Investigators- Who ya' gonna call? P.I.'s are good at the science behind the dark forces.

Your character will grow and learn. Like any other person, they will go through changes over time.

Stage 1: "Egg Stage"
More than anything, this stage is a placeholder. Because each character is custom made based on your creation, this is what you will receive after a sale, auction, raffle etc. You can have some limited interactions with what is going on, but consider your character too young to have much part in the world around them. Don't worry, it won't last long.

Stage 2: "Novice / Child Stage"
Eventually, you will get a much more interesting creature on your tag. Your character will have grown to a child-like stage. (Regardless of the 'age' of your character.) When your character is in this stage, they will begin forming their opinions about their world, their place in society, and the ongoing war around them. They may begin to make friends and alliances with other characters, or other races/classes. They will also be taken under the wing of an older 'mentor' character who will help them go on beginning quests and acquiring new skills.

Stage 3: "Mentor / Young Adult Stage"
Your character has learned a lot, and it's not without it's rewards. They have no acquired a lot of skills that help them as they go about their business. They're made friends that will help them as they go on more complicated quests. At this point, they will probably become responsible for helping to guide younger, fledging characters. (Especially those of a similar type.) But this will benefit them as much as it does the younger characters. Also, their 'status' will be much higher. While they are far from world famous, they do have a certain amount of authority. They might have an easier time getting difficult favors done.

Stage 4: "Sage / Adult Stage"
Your character will have done a lot of work and successfully completed many tasks before arriving at this point. They are respected, not only in their own circles, but even by members of the opposing forces. There is little a master cannot get done, but be wary- at this point, all eyes are on you.

||Men||

: Warren Argent (Hunter)
Warren has lived in the city of De Sespoir for a few years, although he originally hails from the neighboring city of Belleville. He had a frank personality, and finds himself frustrated with many of the more intellectual students. (He calls them lofty-minded-button-pushers.) He spends much of his time caring for and training the hounds owned by the Academy, and can often be found with one or more canine companions at his side. At his core though, he is a caring individual- though far from a bleeding heart.

||Monsters||

: Alexandria (Vampire)
Alex is at first meeting often presummed weak as she has a rather gentle personality but underneath that is a strong woman who isn't above killing to get things done. She also has an extremely short temper and it fustrates her when others don't grasp concepts as quickly as she does...or if she doesn't get her way.

Questions and Answers for your Convenience

Q:OMFABREEZE! HOW MUCH! I GOTZ TEH GOLDZ!
Flatsale pets are 10k. Auctions start at 10k, with no autobuy.

Q:May I own more than one?
At this time, the answer is no. I'd like to give everyone an opportunity to own one. Plus... it's just easier to keep track of one player- one character.

Q: Do you do pet trades/bribes?
Potentially, but keep in mind there are 2 people running the shop. Pets and items will probably have to be listed on some sort of 'shop wishlist'.

Q: This is just like this other shop/tabletop RP/movie I saw!
Err... that's not really a question. Yeah- I admit, monsters vs. people isn't really a fresh concept- but I hope that we can breathe some new life into some fun traditional ideas.

Q:I want my character to be a vampire...but a slayer too. And I want them to cast spells, but some spells can raise the dead. And I want them to have a lazer sword that they designed when they were working as a werewolf hunter!
The short answer is no. The medium answer is please, mary/gary/scary sues and god-moding is a basic 'don't'. The long answer is, nobody will like you, nobody will want to RP with you- and your character won't be nearly as cool as you think. Weaknesses and the need to compromise are what makes RPs interesting.
