This is a place sheltered from pollution and technological advancements, a place where all the world is at peace. It is home of the Reedtail cats and many other wondrous creatures. Explorers called it Starlit Valley and did not dare settle it, too breathtaken by its charm. And too scared of muscley, dangerous Reedtail males. > _ >;;;

Once upon a time, there was a peaceful valley. It was just like fairy tales, untouched by man and known for its peaceful nights with crystal clear skies, each star shining brighter than any treasure. The creatures that lived in it were charming and intelligent, fair of pelt and face. The most notable of such creatures were the reedtails, who were cats with leaves for tails which they used to lure prey. Sometimes a mountain creature would come down and eat one, though.

...Just because they were charming, doesn't mean they got along well, after all.

In this valley, it was another peaceful night. It was quiet except for cricket chirps. A few reedtail kits tumbled on the ground and a few mice hoped that the kits weren't hungry or paying attention to them. The river gurgled. The invisible forest puzzled visible birds. And the visible forest puzzled invisible birds. Completely normal. Then a noise came out from under a boulder. "What do you mean, you forgot to bring the dynamite? It's bloody dynamite! I work this hard digging a tunnel out the mountain and now a boulder is going to stop me cos someone forgot the dynamite?" There was loud discussion, mostly from the voice prior heard. The kits had stopped tussling and were looking at the rock confusedly. "Well, yeah I suppose we could push the boulder away..." The boulder began to wiggle and move and then a redheaded girl popped out. She looked around and beckoned to another girl who clambered out as well. And thus Kotatsu-chan and Miyu-chan discovered Starlit Valley.

Now a while after this, everything had settled down. After the first few attempts to eat Kotatsu and Miyu, the reedtails had accepted them and after a few attempts to eat the reedtails, Kotatsu and Miyu accepted them as well. Taking a walk, Kotatsu did not know that it was going to be a Big Day. She did not know right until a reedtail bowled her over with a kit. Apparently it had been orphaned. It spoke, as it was a more fluent reedtail. "This kit needs a bloody home! After all, its parents were eaten by a bloody mountain creature. It was sudden. We were all surprised! Like dynamite! Bloody dynamite!" Kotatsu nodded. She knew this reedtail. In fact, once she had gotten out from under the boulder it had tried to eat her. And vice versa. So thus, Kotatsu and Miyu's hunt for owners for reedtails began. And it would be a long hunt. Very long. One could say extraordinarily long. Anyway, you get the point. A lot of reedtails need homes. And this shop is here to supply them.

-Do not try to stop people from buying a flatsale pet or complain how much you'd love one but cannot afford it.
-Do not feed the reedtails cheese.
-Please pay for your pet immediatley after you order, no pet will be sent until we see your trade in the bank.
-Please send payment to the person who coloured your pet, not to the shop account. (Me)
-I beg of you to use order forms and NOT PM orders.
-These pets are not roleplay required, however roleplayers may get special items and other things. If you do roleplay, you may roleplay in the shop thread.

Reedtail points:
Reedtail are not roleplay required, but in the rules it said roleplaying your Reedtail had its advantages. Here's how: Every two sentences in a roleplay post gets you a reedtail point. These points are The only currency accepted at the Reedtail store, a store that will randomly appear on holidays and will sell rare items for your Reedtail. These include clothes, potions, morphings, pets, crafts, toys, and much more. The store rarely pops up, though, and has limited stock of items. It does give out freebies, and if you want items but don't want to roleplay, Kotatsu hands everyone 50 non-rp reedtail points a year, and extras can be bought without roleplaying at the cost of 100g per point.

At the baby stage, your Reedtail sleeps. And cries. And whines. And gets lost in a river heading towards impending doom with nothing but a stick to save it with. It gets into trouble as well!

At the Child Stage the pet will usually be very active and curious, playing furiously until finally getting so tired it falls asleep where it stands.
Teen
User Image

At the teen stage, Reedtails will start to become interested in others romantically. They will also be barely coming out of the clumsy stage of childhood, and start to have more catlike grace. They can talk to humans late in this stage.
Adult
User Image

At the adult stage they can talk fluently to humans when they want, and are fully developed. They can breed at this stage.

So, you want a custom pet?
There are a few levels of customizing, so if you only want a small tweak you will not have to pay what would get you a complex cosplay character. sweatdrop They cost so much because we want customs to be a very rare thing. 3nodding

Light Custom, 3000g- This level of customization allows you to choose 3 different fur colours, eye colour, and tail colour. You can also choose what stage it starts out on.

Medium Custom, 6000g- At this stage of customization, you get 5 different fur colours, get to choose a pattern, leaf colour, tail colour, and eye colour. You may choose its pose for each stage, and you may change the colours of the cert but not the cert image.

Heavy Custom, 9000g- At this stage, you may choose as many fur colours as you wish, choose fur pattern, leaf colour, tail colour, and eye colour, and choose poses for each stage. You can also change the background and colors of the cert, and you can request simple cosplay cats. Please give us a full-body reference picture for cosplays. If we say it isn't simple, do not complain.

Super Heavy Custom, 12000g- eek You want a super heavy custom? Are you some sort of control freak? Anyhoo, at this stage, you can do everything from Heavy customs, you can make a male able to breed with males and have kits, and you can make a female able to breed with females and have kits. You can also have complex cosplays, or angelic/demonic/neutral cats.

There's plenty of events and normal custom slots that can be snagged later. ;3 Any shop on a colourist's list is an automatic acceptance if offered to that colourist, even if pet trade slots are closed. ^ ^

Ahhh, love. Breeding costs 200g, a cost that can be split by the owners if more than one owner owns the two lovebirds. heart After breeding, the owners may choose kits. Any leftovers will go to flatsales, except in the case of a cosplay kitten which will be auctioned or raffled if unclaimed by the owners. Cosplay kittens only have a chance of happening when a cosplay mates. If you want your pet to mate for life, it can.
