domokun This is a shout out to unite people who love the sound of a good gas engine and the smell of exhaust fumes and rubber! domokun

Name:
The guild will simply be called "Gaia Motor Sports"

Purpose:
-Talk about you dream car (please specify maker, model, and year if specs vary)

-Current car (ditto), and even where your current car is going.

-Ask about makes, models, and rare cars (such as Shelby.)

-I also incourage people to ask questions about car tuning here so that we can start some major posting and even get enough funding to make this guild a reality.

Rules:
There will be very few rules but... we have to lay down some road for us to get moving... So here are the lines to follow.

-Please talk about things that have two or more wheels, a motor, and stays on the road. No talking about planes, trains, or other pains. Drag racers and funny cars are allowed despite their lack of road drive-ablity.

-No bashing! You can say that you don't like a car but don't talk down to the person or call them names because of their car prefference.

-Bumps are are allowed... Just don't do them to often we have to let the others have the front page every once in a while.

Show me that Gaia has some show cars, racers, drifters, and eX-Drivers out there! cool
A last minuite add on...

Discuss your fav after market dist, your fav performance driving music, and even your harness preff.

My Favorite aftermarket dist. would have to be Jegs... Due mainly to the fact that I have a 92' Camaro RS.

My favorite music to drive to is Rock or Techno... Never was much on hip hop/rap and country just doesn't fuel me with a need for speed (I do like it it just isn't motivating.)

I also Like the 4 point harnes... 3 point is standard and 5 point just feels "wrong."
Is there no one on Gaia who likes cars?
Continuing on... My dream cars are a Caterham Super Seven or a Nissan 350Z. I know neither of these cars cost over 35k but I think they are awesome cars and are good for transport and fun!

My current car is (as stated above) a Chevorlet '92 Camaro RS... Anyone who know what a Camaro is knows this is a good platform to build on. I am planning on leaving the engine a V6 and upgrading from that.

On the topic of power... I think minor bolt ons and a single turbo are what I am looking for... Enough power to play but not to much for the road.

Suspension... I am looking at an awesome kit that lets you increase ride height and stiffness. I am also gonna' roemove the rear seat and put in a drag class roll cage.

The current sound system and interior are destroyed. So I am going to have to fully re-do both to get it anywhere near show quality.

The exterior is gonna be simple... Silver with minor designs or decals and stock looking body. Also rims will stay the same unless I need more room for performance brakes and pads.

I may do some white LEDs if I still want to have greater impact as I drive.

I will post more as this dream comes to life... That will prolly take almost a year or more.
I like cars. Cars that work and get me place to place that is. I can't really say I like them beyond that though. I am thinking about geting a hybrid this year though. My Jeep is pretty old and eats gas too fast. What do you think about hybrids? Or are they not cool enough? lol
Ah yes, super sevens are really nice cars.So very light.Have you ever heard of the tiger z100? Thats stuff is nice.I happen to like cars too,Im still abit green around the edges myself, but for now Id have to say my favorites would have to be c3 stingray, and lotus elise.I cant help it,c3 may have a weight problem but the body style is just...gah..the reason i like the elise is because its a superlight weight,it might not be as fast as the super seven, but ive got a roof over my head for rain and frigid death of winter. :domo

[edit]: specifically 68-71 for vette, sorry bout that
my fav vette was the 79 LO6... it was the one with a flat rear window instead of the tear drop cab...
Current car: None

Dream car: Lightened c3 corvette, from 3800pounds to somewhere around the 2400+/- range, suspension, brake, hopefully better tires, and eventually around 500hp,with minor stereo adjustments to keep wieght off.I can dream cant I? whee

Where you want to take your car now: To my dream car actually. domokun ?

I wonder what year that jeep was.
I'll ask Lith... he is a friend of mine.

grand cherokee 96, green color, with a black interior is what he said his jeep was...

Hybrids are great cars... perfect for modern travel and fuel economy... but they are expensive. I am taking a car that I got for 2k and I am going to take it to a whole new level in both economy and power. If I had the money I would think about a hybrid but I like to tinker with things and a hybrid has to many computer parts for any real modifications to happen.

The cars are also a very fine balance and a Turbo could push the engine to hard... I don't know enough to want to risk it.
Bump it up! Get some people to notice and heed the seemingly only Gaia car guild!
I have given up on my Camaro the damage to the car is just to much to handle on my small budget... and the previous owner really messed things up interior and exterior wise. My wreck didn't improve the thing much either...

I am wanting to get a '95 Mitsubishi Eclipse... It is like the import model of my camaro and it has plenty of tuner parts waiting for it.

Or maybe a Scion tC good price and value.

Ouch, thats a hard shame friend, maybe you can just wait on any improvements to it for now,and just look into saving up some money, some things take time.Having a nice car is great, but it helps alot if you also have an everyday driver too, after i get mine, what im going to look into next is a small 4x4 of some kind or even a bike,im not sure how tight your budget is though. But yea, good luck with your future investment and keep it safe out there.
