~How To Get Involved~

SHOPKEEPER INFORMATION!
I'm looking for some shop help! While I love the Collectives, I don't think I'll be able to have the time to run the whole thing myself, I'm not sure what my life will be like come December. So I'm looking for help!

Main Shopkeeper(s)
I'll do as much of the main work as I can and try to keep everything organized, but I'll need help with side tasks and keeping up with deliveries. I'll make a mule to keep everything seperate and be able to give other people access who need it. The mule will handle the shop operations, and is in charge of collecting the money, sending orders, the shop set up, and at the end sending out all the money. For helping with main shop tasks, it can only be someone who is a trusted resident of minishops, and has been with Gaia for at least 6 months. Sorry but I'm not willing to hand this over to just anybody. (I have a good candidate for co-shopkeeper :3nod)

Shop Layout/Design
This is the setup of all the images in the shop. The shop can be a thread, or can be a seperate small website, but I do need a degree of control over it in case anything has to be changed later. If someone can design a small basic website that would be great, otherwise I'll probably make a thread since I don't have a webpage editing program right now. (Someone has made me up a nice little webpage, so that's covered!)

Delivery
This is one of the most important and most time-consuming parts of having a shop. I'm going to need some help with deliveries so that everyone can get their orders in a timely manner even if I can't be on every day. I'll coordinate with this person(s) to show that a trade was recieved and that it was ok to send the order, and the delivery person would look in the thread for the order information and have a list of image links to send.

Banners
This isn't quite related to shopkeeping, but I could use some banners! I'm not terribly good at making them, but it'd be nice to have some small banners people could use to link here, and if you're really ambitious a nice shop title banner for up top when it opens. Just generic type holiday/winter images are great. (I have someone doing the main shop banners, so I just need maybe a couple more small banners that can be used to link to the Collective if anyone feels like it)



ARTIST INFORMATION!
Here's the information you need if you want to submit work!

Deadline
First and most important, the DEADLINE!
The DEADLINE FOR WORK SUBMISSIONS IS SUNDAY, DECEMBER 4th! If you know you need a bit of an exetension, you must make arrangements beforehand, you cannot show up Dec 5th and be like 'OMG I just need a couple more days!' because your work will not be accepted. This is so there's time to set up the shop and we don't have to keep going back to edit in new items afterward. Entries even with an extension will not be accepted at all past December 10th (otherwise its not fair for you to get an equal cut of profit.)

How to Submit Work
Submissions are pretty easy! You just create your work, upload it somewhere like photobucket, and send the links it via PM to HolidayJubilee an account created to run the event (if you already sent it to Chibi Kitsune_rei that's fine, I made the account after this had gotten started), please do not PM it to me, it'll just lost in my inbox of DOOM. I need both a NORMAL and SAMPLE image for each item (with a 'S' or 'Sample' text over it.) Please only submit work in .jpg, .gif, or .png format, I'm sorry I really hate .bmps but if all you have is Paint or something I can make the exception. Work should also of course fall within the Gaia signature limit of 500x500 pixels and 100kb. I also need a PRICE for each item. Not sure what to price it? Post your sample and get opinions in the thread 3nodding Work without prices cannot be sold!
Anything you can sell in a minishop that is winter/holiday themed is fine. Have fun and be creative! Not sure if your idea is acceptable? Just ask in the thread! Have work you've submitted to past collectives you'd like to submit again? Great! I just need it submitted again since I don't have the old collective stuff, if you lost it I can help you find it since Mau kept most stuff uploaded. Want to resubmit old AND make new work? Awesome!
About avatar edits and any work that offers customization- please only submit this if you know you'll have the time to keep up with orders in a timely manner. We'll just have to work together to get the work sent out, finished customizations will be sent to the shopkeeper and then to the customer just so we are 100% sure they got everything they ordered before completing the trade.
You're also welcome to post sample images of your work in the thread to tantelize people with what will be for sale xd
Please keep your work hosted until after the shop opens, so I can be sure to be able to get it, red x's don't help me if I need to make sure I have everything sweatdrop
Also remember, work submitted to the Collective CAN NOT be sold anywhere else. However deriviatives from things you sell in your minishop, such as a lineart with a special coloration, are fine 3nodding
All the usual minishop rules apply to Collective submissions, they can not be copied from other work or use images other than your own work etc. If you are found to be in violation of the Minishop rules your work will be removed and you will not get your share.

Credit and Payment/Benefits Information
All artists' works will be credited to the creating artist.
Artists will be paid an equal share from the total profit within about the week after the Collective closes, barring complecations (there needs to be time to get final orders out and for people to complete their trades.)
All contributing artists also get a 50% discount off their order in the shop. You cannot just have it deducted from your share of the profit later, just because its too complecated to keep track of.

Minimum requirements
FINALLY, I need AT LEAST 15 interested artists committed to being involved in the Collective or I will cancel it for lack of interest. There's no point in doing it if there's only a couple things to sell.
(No worries though, we've already got plenty of interested people so if even part of them submit work we should have enough!)
