Hello, this is my Google Video tutorial thread.
In this tutorial, you will be learning how to upload video, how to use Google Video in your Multimedia Section, and how to customize it with images and more!

Let me Discuss the Pros and Cons

heart Pros: It's free, easy to upload and manage, reliable, and has a really nice and professional toolbar

gonk Cons:You need a Gmail account (though signup is free)to use Google Video, and you need the Google Video Uploader for files over 100MB, and you cannot upload video unless you don not have the right so upload it (like everywhere else.. or else it's stealing).

It may seem like the cons outweigh the pros, but they don't.

Let me explain the color here a little bit.
Red= Delete
Green=Replace with code (darkblue)
Blue=Code you can add to the Url(this code is always addable to olive code)
Darkblue=Code that replaces green
Violete=Code to save
Olive=Code that's ready to make small

Uploading to Google Video has never been easier. All you have to do it go to Google Videos mainpage. On the top of the page and click "Upload and chare your own videos"

and it will take you to a login page (if you aren't already logged into google)
if you don't have a google/gmail account, CLICK HERE to make one for free!

The instructions are pretty self explanitory and easy to follow. Just folloethe intructions that Google has provided, and you should have your video uploaded without a problem.

exclaim Please note: Google has to verify that the video meets thier Terms of Service. Please do not upload videos that are: Unlawful/illegal, Vulgar, Racist, and/or harmful to others.
Also note that your video might not become avalible right away... It needs to be converted and verified.

For the sake of examples... Lets use this one: "Shined Blind: A Fox Combo Video"

This is by far, the easiest method to do... And is HIGHLY recommended if you get lost easily.

It's simple... Just replace videoplay?docid to googleplayer.swf?docId (yes, with a capital I) and you are good to go.

If you want to make it autoplay, simply add "&autoPlay=true" (without the quotes) to the end of the URL

You may use part 1 or 2, they both get the job done.

There is a link on the page that says Embed on the right side towards then center, you click that to bring up the embed box(if it's not already up).

exclaim But wait! That's not usable as is right now! As you may have noticed... It's really long and the multimedia sections won't take it because of that.
So... You make it smaller! Go to a place like http://tinyurl.com , http://snipurl.com/ .
Now enter the Long Url into the site, and make it shorter.
you should end up with something like this http://tinyurl.com/kkdbm

Now paste it into your multimedia sections and you are set.

This is pretty easy if you know what you are look for.. simply, you want you right-click the page, and view the source.

once you can see the page's source, what you want to do is press Ctrl+F to bring up the "Find" box.then you want to search for swf?videoUrl and click find next (it should be the seecond one you find) and it should look something like this like this(varies from video to video).

Now, what you want to do, is copy everything starting at http://video.google.com/... till &thumbnailUrl=. Then you get up with something like this.

On the bottom right of the player, there is an arrow that is pointing down, click that

then click on Fullscreen
Once you click it, it will continue in another window. Then simply copy the URL from the address bar. You will end up with something like this.

Now to make the the URL usable, you need to replace

http://video.google.com/videopopup?q= with http://video.google.com/googleplayer.swf?videoUrl=. Then remove %26sigh and everything after.

Now go to a place like http://tinyurl.com , http://snipurl.com/ to make it shorter.
Now enter the Long Url into the site, and make it shorter. then use that shorter URL.
Then you are set. Paste it in your multimedia and it will work.

Customizing Google Video

Your own images:Now here, we will talk about adding your own images into the begining of your Google Video (This only applies to non-autoplaying videos)
It's extremely simple. All you need to do is add &thumbnailUrl=<enter image URL here> to the end of the Url
