Q: What's with the questions thing?
A: The 'questions thing' is what we think is a fun, original way to determine the way your child will be colored, and how they will act. It allows this to always be semi-custom
Q: I don't like my combo, can I pay to have it changed?
A: Yes, yes you can, but you have to pay a 2k fee for recerting and do it before the baby stage. Also if you do it in stage 2 or 3 your crystal will just revert back to stage one.
Q: Hey you gave someone a free pet. I want one!
A: Well if by some rare chance someone got a free pet it's because they are more likely than not a close personal friend of Flame or Sora's or had the best damn sob story EVER! So if we are willing to give you a free pet we will let you know. Don't ask.

Long time ago there was a continent called Ruesaiah. It had mountains, rivers, deserts, forest, fields, and flowers. Ruesaiah is also home for a race of people who ruled the land and themselves with runes and spells. A pact with nature gave the Ruesians their Magik, but it was their wisdom in wielding it that allowed them to keep it.
They ran their land peacefully, cultivating the land around them. They flourished under their peaceful reign, attracting traders from lands near and far, bringing wealth to many Ruesians. Many admired the rule in Ruesaiah and tried to copy it in their own lands with less than perfect results. Sadly the rule also caught the attention of Naresh, the War Lord for the Vladizerc tribe.
The Vladizerc tribe was a group of brutish and cruel barbarians with hopes to rule the world even though their army was small in numbers. They made up quantity with quality. The Vladizerc needed more followers, more soldiers and more Magik. Ruesaiah was the perfect place to get all three. Of course they knew Ruesians would not willingly agree, so they did what they did best; prepared to take it by force.
The barbaric army attacked Ruesaiah suddenly with no warning. The Vladizerc captured many villages, while the Ruesian survivors fled to the cities in fear. There the mages threw up their defense spells, stopping all the Vladizercs’ attacks of both weapons and Magik. The two contrasting groups were stuck in stalemate; the Ruesians refusing to attack and the Vladizercs unable to.
The Vladizerc Warlord, Naresh, is not known for being a patient man. The stalemate infuriated the seasoned warrior. He called together all his battle mages, issuing an order for a new spell to destroy the Ruesians' Magik shields. The Battle Mage Adept informed him the only way for the desired results was to combine every Master Mage's skills and Magik, a feat that was previously unheard of. Combined Magiks on a Large Scale of different magnitudes is unruly and dangerous. The effects are also unknown!
“I don;t care how you get those shields down! Just get it done!” Naresh thundered at his minions before leaving the room. The Battle Mage Adept shook her head and her colleagues sighed. The troubled looking Master Mage of the Vladizerc all gathered together. Each brought out their personal collection of Ancient Texts, personally discovered runes, and Ancient Magik. Devising a new spell that would wipe out the Ruesians for good was no easy feat. To get all the independent Master Mage to cooperate with former rivals was difficult. In the end however, the Battle Mage Adept's authority was enough to quell dissent and force a truce. A Combined Magik attack was ready.
The date for the unleash of this new and unknown power soon came. Milling about their massive Runic Circle, all the Master Mages fringed around their Battle Mage Adept, awaiting her signal.
It was perfect, or so everyone though. Everything for the invitation of the spell was deceptively perfect. The spell was locked on target to the Ruesian’s main city when it happed.
Cataclysm.
The spell backfired and turned on its casters, freezing the Vladizercs in crystals, their souls trapped forever in crystallized bodies. The Combined Magik spell was not satisfied with just the invaders though. Initially intended for the Ruesian’s, the spell began its path of Destruction. Luckily for the Ruesians however, the shields were tough for the Spell and it wasted much of its energy eating up the shields. Realizing that its effect was wearing, the Combined Spell gathered into itself, gathering energy.
Everything was still... deathly so when BAM! A giant shockwave blasted throughout the land. The Spell had exploded!
The Ruesian Mages felt the shockwave better than anyone else. Fearing the worse, they quickly used their strongest defense shields in fear of a more devastating aftershock. Unsure of what the Initial shockwave had done and will do, the Ruesian mages pooled their power and carved the continent they ruled out of the land. Using the most Ancient of Runes and Aged Crystals, they managed to float their continent up into the safety of the heavens. Using the last of their Magik which they bought with years of their lives, the spent Ruesian Mages then hit Magik Circles on the earth as a Gateway between their Floating Continent of Ruesaiah and the earth.
At last, they had peace and the people of Ruesaiah breathed in relief.
Little did they know was that it was the land itself that was now their enemy. Life went on as normal for Ruesaiah, but soon disaster struck. A month after the Initial Shockwave, a citizen fell dead suddenly. The cause was unknown. A once healthy 9 year old girl that had no illness or diseases suddenly fell ill and died. Many such cases occurred where healthy people suddenly fell ill and died. The population was declining at an alarming rate and the survivors cried over their lost loves. They cried crystal tears.
The young fell first, leaving grieving families who realized their land was doomed. They had no idea how the spell was cast or its true intent. The Mages that were strong and powerful enough to have been put in charge with the Vladizerc crisis had passed away, leaving weaker mages behind, clueless as to the cause and reason of this phenomena.
Slowly one by one the Ruesians died, their souls wandering the land with no memory or purpose.
The crystallized tears littered the land but the souls paid no attention to them till one tear called to a soul, called it inside its crystal, nurturing that soul till it could remerge with a second chance.

Stage .1.
Resonating Crystal
So you were summoned to some Insitute, got quized by some snobish cat and all you got was this lousy crystal that fitted snugly in your palm? Was this ir? Is it supposed to be a child? Correct, the crystal that you find yourself in charge of houses a very weak ancient spirit. The said spirit makes it's pressence known by feebling resonating against the crystal's frame. It looks like it will be a while before you'll get to hold a live breathing child so for now, bust out the crystal polishing kit!
Stage .2.
Brilliant Crystal
What in the heck?! Strange (and sometimes dangerous) events have been occruing at your home and somehow your new foundling child is to blame. Fed up with the chaos (and the repair bills), you managed to get the Institute to stabilize your dull crystal. When you got the 'child' back however, you are amazed to find that the once dull piece of ... thing, is actually BRILLIANTLY colored!
Stage .3.
Radiating Crystal
To say that your life has gone crazily berserk would be an understatement when trying to describe in words the events that have transpired recently. Your patience reaching it's limit, you feel the urge to go back to the crazy people place, erm, the Institute, to have them ONCE AGAIN freakin' fix your child! After being ushered out of the building, you wait for days to get your pretty colored crystal back. Weeks later, without so much as a knock on the door, you find at your doorstep an odd glass-less lanturn at your doorstep. Your crystal is inside this strange lanturn, banging against invisible walls. What, boxes weren't enough to deliver crystal holding lanturns?
Stage .4.
Trainee
SQUEEE! Finally you no longer have to dote after some inanimate and non-breathing 'child'! The soul that had been inhabiting your crystal has finally stabilized in this world to the point where it could manifest itself into a body of flesh and bones. Yes, now, you have an extra mouth to feed, another body to look after and clothed, as well as another entity to cater to their entertaining needs. Have fun and NO! We do NOT have baby sitting services so STOP ASKING!

The duty of a familiar to a Ruesaian varies from type to type. Some offers unconditional love and loyalty whereas there are those that offers protection special 'ingredients' for spells and runes. As the current generation of Ruesaians are entities reborn from the past, these familiars have been recreated from their past ancestors. They still offer the same benefits as they have to the Ruesaians of the past, but also deal with the phenomena of the current Ruesaians' extreme emotional state that comes from being reborn.
The current breeds of familiars are still few in numbers as most research time is spent on the Ruesaians' themselves.
The Furfluff series is a Ruesaiah original beast. Although it has presided in Ruesaiah for hundreds of years before the Great Cataclysm, sources say that it's origin was not that of nature. Legend has it that a researcher in his quest to finding the cure for baldness, accidentally created the Furfluffs when he mistakenly used the butter of cocoa pods instead of the cream made from Banshee's milk. The results of that mistake came out nicely as not only does this creature evolve into 3 stages, but during their evolution cycle the fur they shed is highly coveted by alchemists and weavers due to it's unique property of magic resistance.
The current reproduction of the Furfluffs is only made available to the public during lover's day in February every year. No exceptions is made.
It is said that every year on the Ruesaian islands there is a traveling pond whose water is said to be so sweet, it was thought to be the split wine of the gods. It only appears one time a year during Winter. It's location always changes every year, appearing on various islands in the most secluded spots that no Ruesaian ever thinks to tread. Any animal that mistakenly drinks from the pond never fails to give spawn on offspring that carries magical traits as well as the trademark of a Ruesaian; a magical Rune somewhere on the body. The offpsring itself never fails to first start out as a perfectly round crystal orb like egg.
The males who drink from the pond tend to die from dehydration after impregnating a female, refusing to drink anything. It is theorized that the pond's heavenly water remains in the body and is released during insemination. The carrier of the water then void of the mystical nector can no longer have any other liquid other tan that of the pond's. A similar event happens to the females who drink from the pond after giving birth.
The animals found changes from year to year and their variety differs. In the past, bunnies, wolves, and seal pups have been found.
The found orphaned offspring are only given out to new homes in the month of December. No exceptions made.
