Glitch #1:
Old School Profiles

Old School Profiles
Overlapping/Crunching of Sections

(Usernames blurred for privacy)
The Problem
There is an overlapping or "crunching" of some of the sections in Old School profiles, usually leaving the content of those sections jumbled in the general area of the About Me section or causing only the section headers to show up with none of the content in them in between.
This glitch seems to affect Internet Explorer 7 most prominently, but a few users have had it with other browser types and versions. It occurs most often on the Custom and Classic settings. Although it may not be entirely practical depending on the profile theme you're using, some people have found that switching to Blocks fixed it for them.
The new Interest tags also seem to play some part in causing this glitch. Removing them may not solve the problem, though.
Clearing the web browser's cache has no effect.

Its a simple problem that happens with IE7...*goes to check for code*
Just put it at the bottom of your custom CSS..should work 3nodding
#content #main, #about, #journal, #friends, #multimedia, #comments, #signature {height: auto;}
Just put it at the bottom of your custom CSS..should work 3nodding
If you are getting the unwanted bolded text in your About Me section too, here is the coding to fix that:
#content #main, #about, #journal, #friends, #multimedia, #signature, a, span, strong, p {font-weight: lighter;}
Try removing the Interest tags. Not guaranteed to solve it, though.
Try switching to the Blocks setting instead of Custom or Classic.
For most users, viewing the profile page in a web browser other than Internet Explorer 7 makes the Old School profile display properly. If you don't have an alternate browser, try downloading Firefox or Netscape.
A few people have found that Internet Explorer 6 works for them, so you could try uninstalling version 7 and then re-installing version 6.
For Macintosh users, take note of this:
Cruciarius
just to let you know, IE is a dead browser, for mac. mactopia.com (microsoft's mac site) has discontinued supporting it and no longer has any downloadable versions.
mac users should try safari or firefox (these are the 2 most popular mac browsers).
other mac web browsers can be found here:

that site lists more browsers than i ever knew existed.

Glitch #2:
New Profile System
Only Background Shows / No Tabled Content in Front

New Profile System
Only Background Shows / No Tabled Content in Front

Screen shot of the same page with a browser that is not affected
The Problem
The new profile pages don't load properly. The main contents won't show up (ie, the tables with text in them and associated content in those tables). Usually only the background image, main links at the top of the page, various positioned images, quote, and multimedia displays as it should.
Sometimes hitting the back button and then going forward to the page again a few times fixes the problem temporarily, but it's not guaranteed to work and sometimes doesn't at all.
Clearing the web browser's cache has no effect.
Suggestions, Possible Solutions, and Methods Tried
- Some users with Firefox have found that upgrading to a newer version fixed the problem for them.
I tried upgrading Netscape Navigator to version 8.1, but it didn't make any difference.
Try using Internet Explorer to view the new profile pages if nothing else works because it doesn't seem to be affected by this particular glitch. If you don't have IE, you can get Version 7 or Version 6.

The Problem
Upon editing the new profile page, an error message comes up saying that the web browser needs to close.
Internet Explorer seems to be the biggest culprit of this glitch. However, other browsers seem to cause it for some people.
Suggestions, Possible Solutions, and Methods Tried
- Switching to another browser when editing in the new profile system works for some users. If you don't have an alternate browser, try downloading Firefox or Netscape.
What You Can Do
If you encounter any of the glitches above, please post your full operating system and browser information so that a comparison can be made on what browser versions have these issues. Either it may help the administrators and developers to find a way to make the profiles more compatible, or it may simply help to shape an idea of what browsers and/or browser versions work and which don't so that future users with these problem will have more options available on what to do.
This explains how to get your operating system and web browser information:
