You can call her: Seung (pronounced "sung" )

Age: Teen, about three years old, appears 15-16 years old

Race: Fa'e mothfish

Height: 4' 10"

Weight: 105 lbs.

Appearance: Seung has light tan skin and long aqua colored ears. Her hands still have her original blue skintone, as do her large flipper-like feet. She has small blue and tan moth-like wings that hover detatched from her shoulders, which look almost crystalline since she grew up. Her hair is black with faint purple highlights. It is very thick and straight, reaching down to her knees if she lets it down. For the most part she pins it up in a bun with the extra hair making a tail. Her eyes are a greenish-brown with a slant to them. Seung has multiple eye-shaped markings over her cheeks and forehead which often confuse people meeting her for the first time. In build, she is small and light. She's slim and if not for the long hair and her face, would be taken for a boy. She very rarely wears makeup, saying it feels too heavy.

Clothing: Seung has moved away from her "hanboks only" mindset since she grew. However, she definately appreciates the finer things in life...and clothing. Most of her clothes are silk and highly embroidered, although they're based more on a man's cheogori and pagi. She always wears a norigae now, made with thread from her ham. The one she wears for everyday is blue, gold, and white, and has the sapphire she obtained at prom as the centerpiece. She's more willing to wear modern clothing, usually when she might get dirty.

Personality: While she still has a sunny outlook on things, Seung is less trusting than she used to be. She's come to accept that not everyone is a good person and not everyone wants to be her friend. It hasn't stopped her from trying to make friends, but she's not surprised when someone doesn't want to anymore. She's gained some skeptiscm about what people tell her, rather than accepting what someone tells her as truth, especially if she doesn't know them well. She's still overbearing and wants to get her way about things, but grew out of tantrums.

Seung is not fond of fighting and violence in general. Blood makes her queasy in fact. She hates the thought of someone else being hurt and can't stand the idea of injury to her own person. She's not built for any sort of combat anyway and beyond the minimum needed for self defense, doesn't plan on learning any.

Seung is somewhat spoiled and definitely enjoys the finer things in life: beautiful possessions, equally beautiful clothes, and good food. She's still touchy about her possessions and the concept of sharing never quite got through. At least sharing on her part. And don't even think about asking to borrow clothing, it's not pretty.

The mothfish has just discovered the concept of "men" and doesn't quite know what to think about it. She now understands what happened in her past life. While she feels attracted to the opposite sex she's confused about her memories and reactions.

Language: Seung can speak in both English and Korean, although she is much more fluent in Korean. Nowadays, she understands that most people she encounters only know English and makes an attempt to stick with that for convenience, using Korean for the few words she can't remember in English. Her accent is very heavy, sometimes hard to understand if one hasn't heard her speak alot. When Seung is tired or distressed, she'll fall back on Korean.

Likes: Bright colors, being paid attention to, meeting new people, Anen

Dislikes: Being ignored, not getting her way, Dustin, anything "not pretty"

Abilities: Hover: Seung can hover just about as high as she can jump, or as high as someone tosses her. She cannot climb higher once hovering, but she is able to glide somewhat, using her wings to steer.

Flight: Wearing heavenly clothing allows Seung to fly rather than simply glide. She usually wears a decorative accessory called a norigae which fulfills the requirement. She can fly slightly faster than she runs, but with growth and training can increase the speed.

Dream-Speaking: Seung can reach into the dreams of people she knows while she sleeps. These are lucid dreams for Seung and unless the person is actively dreaming about her, she has control over her actions and can make it a lucid dream for the other person. If the dream is about her, Seung is constricted to what the other mind comes up with for her actions.

Strengths: Agile especially in the air, optimistic and positive mindset.

Flaws: Physically frail, egocentric, bossy and overbearing

Appearance: Short bright red hair, dark blue eyes, slightly tanned skin. Two feather marks on her back. Slim build, doesn't appear physically strong at all. Occasionally wears glasses when reading, never shoes unless it's really cold. Usually wears skirts, shortsleeved shirts, and gloves.
Personality: Rather quiet. In a group of more than three people, she normally gets forgotten unless she draws attention to herself. Dislikes large crowds and tends to hide when lots of people are around. Fairly smart, but generally appears absent minded when it comes to everyday things. Extremely clutzy. Tries to look happy most of the time, even when she's feeling down, so tends to look like a ditz.
Likes: Water, Reading, Chocolate, Making Jewelry
Dislikes: Fire, Large Crowds, Fighting
Abilities: Water magic and manipulation, Transformation to spirit form

Seung's natural parents, Anen and Naia. Both are friends of Nima, and they've entrusted their child to her. Seung has lost touch with both of her parents, especially since she nearly faded. She's started to reconnect with Naia and hopes to see Anen soon too.

Anen:This is my aboji. I remember him being so nice and very tall! I haven't seen him since I grew last, would he recognize me now?

Naia: This is my omoni. I met her again recently and we've spent some time together. It still feels awkward though...

Mikhail: Mik is my best friend right now. We spend alot of time together and he came to Heaven to rescue me. I found out he killed Han-gyong and I don't really know what to think about that. But I still really like him. We've still got that secret from when we first met. It's very silly, but it makes me feel very close to him.

Sei: He came with Mik to save me. They both got hurt because of it and I can never really thank either of them. I don't know him to well, but I hope to.

Addie: We met when she was just a baby. I think she's Sati's baby, but I'm not sure. Still, she's very cute and I like her. I gave her a snail from Oma's pond recently.

Bhel: I haven't seen Bhel in awhile. He was just a baby then and I thought he was my little brother at the time (we were both very blue). I wonder how is he now?

Callix: Callix will always be my Oppa. He's protected me and helped me so much when I was little. He even helped me hover the first time. I have seen him in a long time though and it worries me.

Dustin: Dusty is the meanest person ever. I'm glad I haven't seen her in awhile.

Naolin: Nao and I were thrown together at prom one year. He's kind of scary and I don't like how he talks.

I've met these people before but I don't remember them too well.

The Sekan house is now a rather extensive three story manor located on near the Minishop's District. To those that don't personally know someone in the family, the house looks much like it once did, a two story suburban home with the front rooms serving as a home based store. This is so potential customers aren't intimidated by the house's size. Floor layouts coming soon.

Those visiting the house may meet one or more of the following people.

These people are less likely to be seen, but live in the Sekan house nonetheless.

The House within Nima's House.

One of Nimaina's friend's Jerava has a room in the Sekan home. A golden box within the room creates a door leading to a pocket dimension. Inside is another house where Jer and her family lives. It is generally referred to as the house within Nima's house.

As a first saw her, a lovely little egg floating in the sea. I remember being so worried caring for that little egg. Still, it seems to be an easier way to have kids. She didn't really do too much at this point, just rocked and splashed a bit. I could swear she was aware of what went on outside though.
This is me as an egg! I used to think all babies came from eggs, but it looks like only I did. I don't remember anything from then. I was really pretty though, don't you think?

Ahhh! That pretty little egg has hatched! She's so pretty still, the eyes, the hair, those cute little wings! She's already a lovely little lady. She was such a sweet girl, if rather demanding. She was already so friendly too.
Me as an agi. I don't remember much from this time either, but Oma tells me lots about then. I almost think she wants me to be all little again, but I like being bigger. I can do so much more now! My face marks looke more like eyes back then, which everyone tells me was really creepy. I think they're the best.

After getting a lot of gifts, Seung grew into an adorable little girl. She walks, she talks (boy does she talk). She gets into everything and insists that everyone pay attention to her. She seemed to think that everyone wants to be her friend and has the tendency to greet every passerby on the street. And I wouldn't want her any other way.
After I grew into a toddler. Everyone keeps telling me I look alot like my parents, but I'm not too sure. I don't have a tail like Omoni, just flipperfeet. And I don't really have eyes like Aboji, or extra arms. I really liked being a toddler, I made lots of friends. This is a really good picture of me, I've got my favorite hanbok on and everything.

We went up to a mountain lake on a job of mine, and came back with Seung as a kid. I'm not sure what happened, but it's not like I can change it, right? Ah well, time to buy more clothes, those silks are getting so pricey. She's gotten alot more independent, and more confident, if that's actually possible. She looks so much like a princess now.
Me as a kid. I looked alot different, since I'm not so blue and my wings got smaller and I got bigger. And they aren't attached anymore, my wings I mean. But that makes getting dressed alot easier. Oma kept saying I could take over the world with how cute I am, and I think she's right.

Seung was kidnapped! I found one of her friends and another Fa'e willing to help get her back. And when they returned, she looked like this! I'm not sure I can deal with my baby being a teen already. They really do grow up so fast. At least this time she came back with alot of silk; her clothing is still so expensive.
And this is me now. It feels so nice to be grown up, although I would rather not have go through that whole kidnapping experience. I don't care what Han-gyong thought, I am the best looking Fa'e out there. I would like to be taller, but that it what floating is for.

Most children have an imaginary friend. Seung has Mishy. Originally a gift from "Uncle" Airden, this plushie is Seung's favorite toy and the occasional bane of Nima's existance... She used to take it everywhere and for a long time Mishy is Seung's friend/vassal/scapegoat/cohort/confidant/replacement for a saftey blanket. She's since grown out of her dependency on the toy, but it's still her favorite thing in the world. Mostly it's at home now; Seung sleeps with it and only takes it out with her when she's very distressed. She still tells Mishy all her thoughts and woes, much like a diary.

Korean legend tells of a poor woodcutter who could not find a bride. One day while chopping wood, he saved a deer from a hunter. The deer decided to reward his kindness saying, “I can help you get a bride. Go to the lakes in north of here at noon tomorrow. The Sonyo will bathe there. Steal one’s robe then bring her home. But do not give her back her heavenly robe until she has borne you four children.”

The woodcutter did as the deer instructed and the next day saw eight Sonyo, heavenly maidens, come down from heaven to bathe in the lakes. The woodcutter spied on them and stole the clothes of the youngest and most beautiful. When they finished bathing, the youngest found she could not go home without her heavenly clothing. Her sisters left her alone to return to heaven and the woodcutter came to greet her. He treated her kindly and took her home to be his wife. For a time she resented her husband, but grew to love him. After a time, they lived happily together and she gave birth to two children. The Sonyo then begged her husband to return her heavenly clothing, for she missed her family.

The woodcutter refused for once he returned it, his wife would regain her powers and fly off with his children under each arm. She then gave birth to a third child. The Sonyo begged her husband for her clothes again. Thinking that she couldn't escape with three children, he gave them back. She put on the garments and flew back to heaven with her three children, one under each arm and the third held between her legs. The woodcutter grieved at the loss of his beloved wife and children.

Saddened, he returned to the lakes and saw a large gourd drawing water from one, the rope holding it going straight up to heaven. Quickly, he dumped out the water and placed himself inside. The gourd was drawn up and the Sonyo saw a man inside. The woodcutter explained who he was and the maidens brought him to the Heavenly King. The King, though unhappy that his daughter’s husband was mortal, allowed the woodcutter to be reunited with his family and they lived happily in the Heavenly Kingdom.

One day the woodcutter thought of his aging mother back on earth. He asked his wife if he could go down to see his mother, just once, but his wife refused. He persisted and finally his heavenly wife agreed. She gave him a dragon-horse to take him down to earth saying, “Whatever you do, do not get off the dragon-horse. If you do, we will never see each other again."

The woodcutter said he would not dismount and rode the dragon-horse down to earth. He soon arrived at his mother's house. Mother and son were overjoyed to see each other and chatted while he stayed mounted. As he prepared to leave, his mother begged him to have a bowl of porridge she had made for him. Unable to refuse, he took the bowl but dropped it because it was too hot. The hot porridge landed right on the dragon-horse's back. It reared in pain, throwing off its rider and raced back to heaven. The woodcutter never went back to the Heavenly Kingdom, spending all his days crying at the sky. At last he died and was reborn as a rooster, to spend all his days on the highest rooftops, crowing for his lost love.

When the dragon-horse returned to heaven without her husband, the heavenly maiden despaired. She begged her father to let her fetch her husband. However, the Heavenly King, glad to be rid of an unworthy son-in-law, would not allow her to go down to earth. So the maiden spent all of her time weeping for her lost husband.

When he was transformed, the rooster's crowing reached her ears, making her even sadder for she felt his death was her fault. Unable to bear the pain of the rooster's calls, she tried to ignore its cries. The Heavenly King quickly became frustrated with his daughter, calling her a disgrace. He forbade the rest of the family from speaking to her or acknowledging her until she came to her senses.

Days passed and soon she wouldn't notice anyone, not even her own children. The guilt and grief continued to consume the Sonyo and she rarely spoke or ate. Finally, unable to bear her guilt another moment, she took a knife and tried to cut the guilt out of her heart. The Sonyo’s children found her dead, with the knife clenched tightly in her hand.

Her three children desperately wished to have their mother back and asked the Heavenly King to bring her back to life. He quickly refused, as she had fallen from favor in his eyes. So the three tried to revive their mother without the King's knowledge. They used what little magic they had to place life back into her body. The Sonyo's spirit felt the magic, but had no wish to be revived. Instead, she transformed it, hoping for a life where she could make her own choices. She would be revived, in another body and another time. But no one would be able to tell when or where…

August 20, 2006: On a visit to the beach, Nimaina and Arilin met Anen and Naia. After saving Naia from drowning, they found...an egg?
September 5, 2006: In the middle of the night, Seung hatched! Nima and Anen were both there to greet the lovely girl, though Naia couldn't be reached.
October 11, 2006:After recieving some lovely gifts, Seung grew into a toddler!

TODDLER QUEST!

Seung has gotten to know her parents and met many new faces since hatching from her egg. She's had a bunch of new experiences, and now it's time for the next one - the experience of growth!

However, she needs a few things before she can do that... a few small reminders of her past.

Fetch Seung 12 Celestial items, to bring to mind her home in the sky... a hanbok, to remind her of her roots... and a moth and a fish. Just because.
