Welcome to The Realm! Allow me to introduce myself, I am typically known as Foxie, but you can call me Aijou. What is this madness you ask? Well, it began as a thread to help a knight find his lady, but something amazing happened: He found her! So that begged the question, where to go from here? Such an amazing community of people has grown here that I couldn't let it end with the quest. Hence something new is born, The Realm of Insanity.

Some might assume that this is an rp, but actually its not! While we all have a bit of knight-on-the-brain, and most definitely enjoy all things medieval (except maybe torture, although we don't ask, don't tell =O ) this is actually just a hangout thread with a twist. In here we want everyone to be themselves, hang out, have fun and enjoy the insanity ^_^

Ready for the twist? In The Realm you can chat/post your way to the nobility! That's right, for those who become regulars here, and spend alot of time chatting/hanging out, you can gain a title!

A few other things I wish to mention:

1) No trolling, flaming, spamming, begging, advertising, or otherwise making an a** of yourself. If that's your idea of fun, you are in the wrong place.

2) Don't bump in here. The idea is to make friends! So unless your name is bump, and you want us all to know that, don't do it.

3) This, like all things I am involved with is a Smut Free Zone. That means save the profanity, naked avitars, innuendo, rudeness, and other garbage for the chatterbox.

4) Again, BE YOURSELF!! We want to get to know YOU, not your rp character. The idea here is to meet new people, make friends, and have a great time doing it!

5) DO NOT ATTENTION WHORE IN HERE. The regulars in this thread are capable of so much love. We are always here to listen and to love, but we are NOT here to be taken advantage of. I won't tolerate it. If you make a post and it takes a bit of time to get a response, give it 10 minutes and then quote and repost. We do not ignore people here. DO NOT say "Woe is me, the world has ended, I am being ignored." It upsets me and I will blacklist people for it if I have to.

6)PLEASE DO NOT QUOTE THE POSTS ON THE FRONT PAGE, INCLUDING THIS ONE. Doing so will be considered spam and you will be asked to leave.

The Realm celebrates 6 years!

I know this thread has lain near death at times, and certainly very quiet over the last couple of years. Even so, the people who gave this thread its magic still watched over it, waiting for any signs of life. This year we celebrate an astonishing 6 YEARS that this thread has been here. It's an incredible feeling to see The Realm coming back to life once again. In honor of that, and of the lifelong friendships made here all those long years ago, we will dedicate 2012 to celebrating the great times here, and hopefully creating new ones. Happy 6 years everyone!

Alright Lords and Ladies! 2009 is here! To ring in the new year, AND revive the Realm of Insanity's little known guild, I have decided to host a posting contest there. Today the guild stands at 11,546 posts. My challenge to you is to reach 15,000 total posts in the guild by the end of January. If the goal is met, all who participated in the contest will be entered in a raffle for a Kong Sang scarf!! Valued today at 36.5k and rising, it promises to be a worthy prize! Just a little announcement regarding adopting:

It has come to my attention that the process of adopting people into the family has turned into somewhat of a joke. When the family tree was created, it was intended to show the connections that have grown between various members of our thread. As of late, it has become a competition, and I feel that I need to step in and put a stop to that. All adoptions made to date WILL stand. However, from now on, new people to join our thread must be here at LEAST a week to be eligible to be adopted. That will give a person time to get to know us, and decide if they are even STAYING in the Realm before someone claims to love them like family. There MAY be exceptions from time to time, if someone feels something especially strong toward a new member and they return that feeling of connection. Anyone to violate this new rule will no longer be allowed to adopt.
