Sonic the Hedgehog (also called Sonic Next-Gen or Sonic 2006 to differentiate it from similarly titled games) is the name of the next-generation video game featuring Sonic to be released on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Sega has said the release date for the game will be the same day the PS3 comes onto the market (making it a launch title), with the Xbox 360 version releasing on the same day. This would set the U.S. release date at November 17, 2006. It will also release along side Sonic Genesis for the Game Boy Advance and Sonic Rivals for the PlayStation Portable. It is being developed at Sonic Team, directed by Shun Nakamura.

Plot:
In Soleanna, the City of Water, lives Princess Elise. Elise is the keeper of a dark secret, the "Flames of Disaster", which involves the Chaos Emeralds. Dr. Eggman learns of the Flames of Disaster and attempts to kidnap the Princess. When the world-renowned hero Sonic the Hedgehog learns of this, he sets off to defeat Dr. Eggman once again, save Elise, and secure the Chaos Emeralds. However, Sonic's quest is soon interrupted by a strange white hedgehog called Silver the Hedgehog, who has traveled from the future to stop Sonic from becoming the "Iblis Trigger" during his journey; the Iblis Trigger causes many deaths in the future from which Silver hails. Sonic must now discover what Silver wants and make sure that he does not interfere in his quest.

#6. You do not have to be literate. I will allow semi-lit. Heck, I'm not even a literate person. Just have your posts understandable so we don't have to read it 20 times to have a clue as to what you mean.

#7. Try and post at least every other day. If you cannot, let me know ahead of time or as soon as possible.

#8. You can play up to three characters, but only two may be a made-up.

#9. No one but Sonic, Shadow, and possibly Silver may use Chaos Control.

#10. I'd prefer if only the original ones could use the Emeralds to go Super or Hyper.

He wears a pair of black gloves with metal circular pads over the knuckles. He wears a pair of dark blue shorts and his tail comes out of a hole in the back. Last but not least, he wears a pair of sneakers that are a solid black with two vertical white strips on both sides of them. The souls of the shoes are also white.
Personality: He's easy going and tries not to loose his anger easily. He's a little stupid when it comes to electronics, with the exception of gameboys and CD Players. He loves video games almost as much as he does pizza.
Extra Info: Has the ability to control eletricity, and can store large amounts of it inside of his body. He can do this because of the fact that his fur is resistant to any form of electricity. As a result, he hates to get wet. If he does, using his power gets him shocked as well, only worse. He can travel fairly fast, but only for a short amount of time.

She loves getting caught in the rain, which is the biggest differance between the two. She hates roller caosters. Manicku is a giver to others, but she does hate being called a 'half-breed'. She's a little bit of a theif, but won't steal from anyone unless she has too or they are up to no good.

Satochi is a loving person that cares for all living things, but since the Earth been threatend he has teamed up witha phro cat named Blaze and now they both with other friends travel together and do as they wish in any way help. Satochi takes orders from no one and does whatever he needs to survive. Satochi hangs alone sometimes but besides that he is a free style kid that does what he wants.

Personality: Timid and soft-spoken, it would be an understatement to say that Kail isn't a very outgoing person. She's extremely shy, lacking self-confidence and the ability to stand up for herself, although in light of recent events in her life she's taken it upon herself to become stronger and less of a coward. Kail may seem overly-trusting and a bit too kind for her own good, but she's actually very wary about meeting new people and recognizes when someone intends to harm her. Despite that she feels that there is some good in everyone, often giving someone the benefit of the doubt before jumping to conclusions.
Kail also aspires to become a doctor, which partly explains why she remains unfazed when she sees blood and gore, and why she tends to carry around a first-aid kit wherever she goes. Her medical prowess greatly makes up for her pacifism.

Sonic looked around Soleanna, searching for any sign of where Eggman could have taken Princess Elise. Eggman had recently been leaving clues to where he was at random scenes, but for once this was one of the rare case Eggman didn't leave a trace.

It was about noon as a small fox closed up his workshop for a bit. He'd been working for some time now, trying to get the bugs out of his latest creation. The small kitsune walked out of his shop, locking the door behind him. He was young, only about 8 or 9 years of age. His bright blue eyes looked around him, seeing if anyone was there. Not finding anything, the small fix sighed and spun his two fox tails together. Doing so, he flew up to the upper floor of his shop were his small room was located. He had nothing better to do for now except to get a small nap.

He was about to walk inside, when he noticed a note on his door. He took it down and read its contents. His ears perked up and he looked to the east, his eyes showing excitement. "That's just like him. Leave and not tell me. Oh well, guess I better go find him."

other obstacles to find the one knowk as 'Sonic', or as he reffered him as the 'Iblis Trigger'.

"Where is he...i've searched day and night for that....trigger..."


Silver had heard rumors of the Hedgehog in Soleanna, the city of water. He wasn't concered about what the city's name was or how he was going to find Sonic, he was completly focused on getting to the city, and stopping the 'Iblis Trigger'

The small fox ran inside of his workshop. Within seconds, the side of the building opened up and a red plane emerged. The little fox was sitting in the pilot's seta, wearing a pair of tan pilot's goggles on his head. The trees leaned over as the plane took off, heading for the City of Water, Soleanna.

Sonic contiued through the City, still in search of a clue. "Man, Eggman didn't leave any trace of where he took the princess"he muttered, and stared at the ground below him. He picked his head back up. He should find Tails, after all, Tails might have an idea of where to search, or mabye an invention that could track down Eggman. Sonic knew Tails, and he was sure to have at least something.

Tails was flying over an open ocean by now, glancing every now and then down at a map of his. It was about his only guide to the unfamiliar city. He'd never really heard of it until today come to think of it. He mentally shook his head and kept heading in what he hoped was the right direction.

Up ahead, the form of a small town was coming up ahead. Smoke was rising from one area of it, which meant something was going on. "That can't be good....."
