Welcome to Gaia! ::

Multiple religions say if you don't believe what they do you go to hell. so in the end most of us (if not all of us) are going to hell if one or more of these religions are correct.
If god cares about us that much then why would he want to send all of us to hell just for not following his every command?
Actually, the number of religions that send you to hell for disbelief is relatively few, albeit disproportionately large, population-wise.

Actually, depending on how you translate things into english, that number is substantially increased. But then again with that, that makes it so that many religions have you going to "hell" no matter what you do.

Which religions say this?

My faith doesn't teach that if one does bad they'll burn in hell forever. Instead we see hell as the grave one is burried in, with no conscious thought in an afterlife.
The only hope one has after they die is if God resurrects them at the appointed time.

Your statement is self-defeating.

"Multiple religions say..."

"If God cares about us..."

There would only be "one correct religion" due to the fact that people are sent to "hell" as a place, but not "Hells", or different versions of the said place. If two of the religions were correct, unless they correlated, they are instant damnation, and if this is true then there is no "Heaven" for man, and thus hell is simply purgatory.
Religions off the top of my head that have the word Hel(l) as part of their afterlife mythos:

Three.

Religions off the top of my head that say if you have a different opinion than they do you will go to said place:

Zero.

Even within Christendom a number of sects and parts of scripture do not assert that such is the destination of all those who are not Christian.

Asatru doesn't make the assertion based on faith.

The different Asian Trad theologies I am aware of use Hell as a generic name for the afterlife, a mistake if I recall correctly, that came about through Missionaries not being able to translate the cultural concept well.
Then there are things LIKE hell that don't have the name "hell"... like the Lake of Many Drownings (roughly translated) from Sibbidism.

Look at the differences between Mathew 3 and John 3, Mathew 3 teaches that repentance is the source of salvation while John 3:16 teaches that you just have to believe real hard. John 3:16 is John's Opinion while Mathew 3 is mostly directly quoted from Christ.
There are many different kinds of underworlds, past and present
Christain - Hell
Sumerian - gloomy cave
Egypt - eaten by a monster
Greek - Tartarus
Newsflash: HELL IS JUST RELIGIOUS PROPAGANDA.

Admit it. It feels shitty when someone says to you without a doubt, "You're going to hell."

This is just a statement developed to push people into religion, and therefore feel accepted.

Egypt - eaten by a monster

Uh....no. That's just something that could happen to someone in the Egyptian afterlife.

Upon death, one enters a hall of judgement in Duat, to be tried based upon their morality in their life. Their heart is weighed against the feather of Ma'at. If they come out on the "winning" side, they are permitted to enter Aaru. If their heart weighs more than the feather, it is eaten by Ammit.

Duat and Aaru are the "underworlds." Not Ammit.

Newsflash: ALCOHOLISM IS JUST SOBER PROPAGANDA.

Admit it. It feels shitty when someone says to you without a doubt, "You're an alcoholic."

Now that we're done appealing to emotion, do you have anything useful to add?
Isn't one interpretation of Hell to be anywhere God's love is not?

I like that interpretation since it is fairly open.

Hell Realms exist in Buddhism, but there is no God or other being that
sends you there. Instead, through your own thoughts, speech, and
actions, you create the causes which lead to you being reborn there after
you die. But, after you exhaust the karma which landed you there, you're
reborn in higher realms. Not everyone takes this literally, however.

Many take it to mean that by using our body, speech, and mind for
negative actions, we create problems for ourselves. Such as lying. If you
lie, then you create the potential for you to lie again, and it can become
problematic because then you have to keep track of which lies you told to
whom and how they went. There's a saying I'm fond of: "One benefit of
telling the truth is that you don't have to remember what you said."

The Hell Realms in Buddhism are not meant to be viewed as a form of
punishment. There is no judgement that sends you to a God Realm or a
Hell Realm or anywhere in between. It's not meant to teach you a lesson.
It's simply a logical result of your actions. Cause and effect, really. Karma.
