This thread is no longer locked, but it has been moved. The Gaia Guides and Resources forum is NOT a place for stupid spam posts and etc. bullshit, so it got so bad that one out of every 5 posts per page had to be reported for spam, advertising, begging, being a jerk, or quoting the first post.
No, it had nothing to do with the thread breaking the rules, but it had everything to do with the people that assume all the threads in the top 5 list (Community page) are located in the Chatterbox and are okay to spam in. NO...and that's what happened.
Because of the thread being locked, my inbox was full within 2 days of it being so, and that just couldn't happen, so I just had asked the mod I was talking to to help everyone out by just sticking the little spam bait here in the CB. Congrats, n00bs. You suck. Thanks. smile

Wondering why you havn't been able to get any rare/random events because the "!" doesn't ever show, or noticed that the one link (the one that ends in event=#) that everyone passes out will never get you anything because they only trigger ONE event value when there's almost 130 different GET values (for those that are familiar with PHP) that would activate a certain event? SOLVED!
I originally found the solution on one of the top-rated threads, where some random user only posted a few variables, and decided instead of "oh, lemme type in ALL of these letters and numbers" I was just going to make a small PHP script to loop both the lettered and numbered links to show up on one page. Turns out I had four more trunks waiting for me to collect, and one being on a letter variable.
Below is are two link banner codes for this thread, and I've used notlong.com to shorten it to fit easier and also make it easier to remember. Feel free to stick the code in your sig, profile, or where ever, you don't need to, though.

Missed boxes and trunks will just go to your inventory, and pink link gold (1000 gold) will just add to your current gold amount - you won't see anything floating or glowing, but you might need to wait a minute or so for it to show up.
If you don't get any boxes, trunks, or pink links, you'll at least get almost 200 gold as you go for the lurking aspect of it all. biggrin
Rare/random events ARE NOT GIFTS!!! If the system didn't grant you an event item when you were supossed to get one, then you'll retrieve it at the link with the variable that's associated with it. Otherwise, you won't get anything. This is also why going through the list is perfectly legal to the TOS, within certain restrictions (already noted like 3 times).

Going through ALL the links will get you a much better chance of finding other missed trunks/boxes/pink links, rather than picking and choosing, or assuming that putting "#" will replace all of the numbers and giving up if you don't get anything from that.
You'll notice that if you retrieve an event after 10 links, you might also retrieve another one after 30 or 40 more - it all depends on the variable the missed event is stuck in.
So, what's so great about getting a box, trunk, or pink link?
Boxes and trunks have special items in them, and pink links will give you 1,000 gold. Click the box/trunk below to see the items you can get from them, provided by TekTek (I don't really endorse them, but I didn't feel like searching for the thread I remember seeing the listing in).
Boxes usually contain something worth less than the box is worth. Open at your own risk. If you'd like to do something about the whole worth dealy, then sell your boxes/trunks for 500 gold LESS than the current lowest price. BRING THAT USER-INFLATION DOWN!

DO NOT try to do this with any sort of script (which is referred to as a "bot" wink , as those are against Gaia's ToS and can get you banned. CLICKING links isn't a bannable offense, but BOTTING to go through links IS - so please stop asking if you can be banned for checking for lost events; if you had an event, then you'll get it when you click one of the links it corresponds with, and if not, you get nothing - simple.
Since they are very rare, I recommend only going through this list about once every month, or after an event, where posting alot is common.
If you think this is some kind of scam, you must be some kind of blind - all the links and their text start with "http://www.gaiaonline.com" all you need to do is hover over the link to see that. You'll find these links, and also ones with "inventory" and not "index" in guilds or other threads, but I got tired of searching for those pages and typing in the numbers/letters all the time, so I made this page and brought a bunch of attention to it. Hopefully it'll help you too. ^.^
