i alway end up using my money and not saving it for what i really want!!!
if this happens to you a lot the please sign ONCE!!!

deposit or withdraw.
you also can help to resist yourself by putting a "withdraw standard"
if you only want to withdraw money once or twice a week thats your standard. it keeps you from not withdrawing your money or there could be a standard where it is how much you can withdraw not how often. these are just some ideas if you have any more.... please pm me or post it..

maybe also have the ability to have different accounts with pin numbers/ passwords and everything, like if you're saving for different things, or for example run a guild , quest thread, and charity or something. helps diffuse confusion.

There IS another petition JUST like this but there is ONE difference, the other petition involves INTEREST and since Gaia wants you to EARN your gold, THAT petition will NEVER go through. EVER.

I just wanted others to know that little bit of information.. As for THIS petition, I completely sign it!

I was ACTUALLY gonna make this petition into a petition after my first one went through.. but since you're on it already, I join you! Also.. do NOT combine with the other bank petition.. the interest thing is holding that petition back. Stay the course with your own. Impracticalities: Interest Earning Bank Accounts

Brief Summary: While allowing users to collect interest may seem like an easy way for some users to make gold at first, it really wouldn't benefit the economy in the long run, and is not suited for Gaia since it allows a way of earning gold without effort.

This has been suggested many, many times. Collecting interest for gold invested or deposited in the bank seems like a fairly easy, no-fail way for users to gain gold and keep up with inflation. However, inflation is governed by supply and demand, therefore the more gold users collect, the more gold they are willing to spend, which causes prices to go up on rare/limited items, leaving users exactly where they started.

As interest most benefits those with the most gold to invest, interest would be a way for the rich to effortlessly get richer while those who are new and struggling and would still need the most assistance to keep up with inflation or purchase expensive items. Rather than thin the gap between the finances of old and new users, it would likely only widen it.

Last but not least, to give users the ability to automatically make gold without working for it goes against the type of site that Gaia is. Everything you DO on Gaia earns you gold.... but you do have to DO something to earn it, not nothing.

Any and all threads created asking for Gaia users to collect interest via the banks will be recycled.

Want banks? Click THIS! And look for them. There are plenty. Why should Gaia make a bank when there are already banks? It would ruin their businesses.
