I dedicate this thread Ms. Thomas, who always said, "if you don't plan and write out your goals, you're less likely to achieve them." Well, Ms. Thomas,
I planned out this quest, so I hope you realized that I didn't sleep through all of your classes.

I started playing on Gaia with my main account in April 2004 and created this account the November of the same year.

My first quest, ironically, was a pair of Fuzzy Seal Slippers in my main account. Without much luck in my quest thread that I created, I bought them when they were still only 20k. I was so excited to get them that I ended up buying the Penguin Mask and Suit to match.

So what happened to them? After a break from Gaia, I came up with a new avatar look that didn't include the Fuzzy Penguin Slippers (which were now valued at 150-200k). Normally, I'd've held onto them. But one of my best friends IRL, Moiloka, was questing for the Baby Seal Slippers. So, I traded my Penguins for Seals and gave them to her for only 13k in return.

Why did I do it? I wanted to see her have them.
Why don't I ask to have them back? I could never have the heart to do that to her.
Do I regret it? A little, but at least now I have a goal.

Update - 3/15/07
A fellow Gaian asked me a while ago what I plan to do once I finish my quest.
So I decided to make a little blurb about it.

What I will do when I complete my quest:

I'll finish off my dream avvie, which won't take long, because everything else I need are store items.
Once that is complete, I'll go after another donation item for a cosplay avvie. But I won't say which item I'm going for and what I'm cosplaying as, because I've never seen it on Gaia and I don't want my idea stolen.
But the item isn't too expensive, and though I'll make a quest thread, it would only be to track my progress.

Once I get my Seal Slippers, Gaia will be seeing my main account more often.
I'll probably end up altering between them and use MuleyMuleyMuley one day, and Emry the next, and both accounts will be seen in different forums.
(So that means the people who frequent the HP subforum will only see MuleyMuleyMuley there, but never Emry.)

I also plan to give back some of what was given to me.
I plan to take whatever 50% of what someone has donated to me and donate it back to them.
Charities will go first, because they need the gold in order to give to people like me.
As for friends who have donated to me (Malfoy Draco, for example), I'll donate either an item they are questing for or an item whose value equals 50% of what they have given to me.
I like karma, so I feel that this is the way it should work.

So, everyone's gotta have a plan to get through this, right? Well, here's what I'm going to do. In fact, just to make it more official, I'll make it a pledge.

As a questor in the Gaian Community, I pledge to...

1. ...post frequently in my usual forums. I believe that by becoming a familiar face, the people that recognize me might feel more inclined to donate.
2. ...bump my thread at least 20 times a day.
3. ...apply to charities after reaching 20 pages.
4. ...play the Daily Chance in both accounts.
5. ...sell Daily Chance items every day.
6. ...on Saturdays, purchase 500 tokens and use those (along with tokens earned in Daily Chance) to play Blackjack and play until I have more tickets than tokens I started with.
7. ...fill one bucket of fish every day, and alternate between the three lakes.
8. ...sell game items every Saturday in the Exchange Forum.
9. ...sell donation letters once a month (twice a month starting 200 cool .
10. ...sell my event items a year after getting them.
11. ...update daily to watch my progress.
12. ...earn a minimum of 4k each day.
13. ...post in other people's quest threads and wish them luck. Because it's a nice thing to do.

Okay, so I went on an extremely long break. I'm back now.
Things will still be kinda slow as far as my questing goes, because of college, work, and the boyfriend. But I'll be on here questing when I can.

I marketwhored until I stopped to eat pizza.
I made 58k in an hour and a half, simply by sitting on my a** and buying May 2007 letters and items for really cheap and selling them.
A large number of people were selling them for 1-2k cheaper than the next lowest price, and my computer was fast enough to catch a good number of them.
Note to self: Hit the market every 15th of every month.

I'm afraid to say that my gold count may be in the red area for quite a while.
For one thing, I have 13 days left until I leave to work at an amusement park during the summer, so I won't be online for a while.
Secondly, I've been going through a rough time since yesterday, which unfortunately effects the amount of time I spend on the Internet, and apathy will take hold of me and effect how much I actually care about questing for several weeks.
Don't worry. If it makes anyone feel better, I'll regret this all later.

Well, s**t.
So, I've given up on the possibility that the Pandy Pack and the Bone Dragon Helm's values are going to increase enough in marketplace value so that I'll get a profit from my marketwhore-ing.
Which means that I've severely dropped my prices and suffered a terrible blow goldwise.
Moral of this story = Well, there really is no moral, just a memo to myself that I should only stick with Magical Giftboxes, recent donation items, and the really popular donation, uncommon, or expensive store items (ex: Coco Kitty, Fox Tail and Ears, and Fairy Wings, etc.) while marketwhore-ing.
And keep away from B/Hammi Hats, Dragon Helms, and Packs.

WTF?!
My Fishing Rods are gone! GONE!
I didn't sell them, I didn't accidentally send them to someone. I had them yesterday! What the hell???
Anyway, progress report: I posted a new topic in the "Bugs and Assistance" forum. But, chances are, they won't give replace my fishing rod. So, until this gets straightened out and I'm assured that it's likely to not happen again, I'm done with fishing. I'll sell the fish that I have now, but the "Fishing Progress" post will stay where and as it is, but for now, I'm not spending another 9k on a fishing rod that'll just get eaten by the damn server.

EDIT (later):
I changed my mind. I purchased a new rod. Except it's just a Basic Fishing Rod, not the more expensive "plus" version of the rod.
And since it's only the basic rod, I'll only fish in the Bass'ken Lake and sometimes the Port of Gambino, since it's easier.

I decided to invest in a Basic Fishing Rod Plus today. On sale in the marketplace for 8999 gold, and bought 16 cans of Grade F Fish Bait for 300 gold. Now I will begin fishing once a day. To make sure that the fishing equipment was a good investment, I'll keep a "Fishing Progress" in one of the later posts of this quest thread. Fishing income will be updated every Saturday, when I will sell the fish and trash, and expenses for fishing equipment (rods and bait) will be updated whenever I get them.

Well, damn. So, I dug myself in a hole.
Long story short. I bought a Scar of Hero to resell for a higher price.
There was one just lower than mine. So I bought that and tried to sell it for the same price.
I came back after a while, and there were a lot of Scars of Hero priced lower than mine. Under some confusion, obviously, I bought another to minimize the number of Scars of Hero that were lower than mine and priced it slightly higher.
Needless to say, in order to have any chance of selling them, I lowered the prices of all three majorly, giving me a negative outcome of today's earnings.
Moral of the story: Never marketwhore with more than one of an item.

Well, s**t.
Today is my unlucky day.
First, in another one of my mule accounts, I participated in a "Roll to Win" contest. Roll 20 10-sided dice and get 123 and you win a Gwee.
I won on my third roll.
So I was like, wow, that's unusual. I'm never usually that lucky.
Then I find out that someone won three pages before me and the thread was never updated.
So that was more along my lines of luck.

Then I'm buying and reselling magical giftboxes, because that's what I specialize in. I bought a pink one for 50k, and then go to resell it for 54k.
Stupid me made a typo and entered 34k instead, and I didn't pay much attention in confirming.
Then before the screen changes, I realize, "oh s**t! No!"
Before I could cancel the sale, someone bought it.
Setting me back 16k, and losing a 4k profit.

So my progress report for today will most likely be in the negatives.
