Welcome to another lovely LOTUS event!

Due to the needs of the shop, LOTUS is holding a contest in order to recruit (read: hire) some help. Thus, what you are competing for is: (1) a job, (2) art and (3) gold. To win these things, you must demonstrate excellent writing skills.

LOTUS is in need of someone to run the admistrative aspects of the shop as well as handle all roleplay. I may choose more than one person if needed. Please note that I need somebody who has time to do what I need them to! Please, PLEASE do not enter if you don't have the time or dedication to be involved with the shop!

Prizes

There will be one, possibly two winners.

Grand Prize:
-A job at LOTUS as administration or a roleplay manager. Includes pay (to be worked out.)
-Fullbody art of your LOTUS character, which sells for upwards of 300k in the R/C.
-25 000 g 50 000 g

Prize is subject to increase at my discretion. It probably will, depending on if I'm up for commissions or not. xD

Rules

1. PLEASE DO NOT ENTER if you do not have enough time to dedicate to the shop. Please.
2. Only one entry per person.
3. Do not get anyone to edit your entry for you. We want to judge your writing skills, not someone else's.
4. Entries may be posted in the thread or PMed to Wraith Sian.
5. Please pay attention to all the things you must keep in mind while writing your response! These are detailed below and will have a significant effect on your success.

Prompts

You may reply to any of the three prompts below.

Prompt 1:

All those memories... flooding back in one instant after those blue eyes locked onto mine. Memories of the past, of what I was and what I still am.

Prompt 2:

The broken statue lies on the cold marble floor, shattered into more pieces than you could ever hope to count. s**t.

Prompt 3:

All you can see are flowers... all colours, all shapes, all sizes. Their drunken scent sends you into a stupor and you stagger to regain your grip on reality.

Things to keep in mind:

1. What I am looking for you to do is to integrate the prompt into your response in a creative, yet relevant manner.
2. I also want you to keep in mind the setting and mood of LOTUS-- there is detailed information on the front page of the main thread, and I am looking for someone who is interested in the concept and can provide fresh ideas that fit within the setting. Personally, I also really like when it is evident that a person has tried to incorporate bits of the world setting into their prompt. Not only does it show a higher level of writing, but it also shows that you have a sincere interest in the shop.
3. You will be replying from the point of view of a character that you will assume control of if you win. This character is a part of the LOTUS organization and can be any rank you want them to be. They are still a subordinate of the Wraith and Shee Sian, however.
4. You have free rein over your character's backstory and abilities. Yes, they may have wonderful abilities since they are a higher up in the organization. This does not mean they can have magical powers or horns sticking out of their head. They still must fit into the setting, and they still must be a good, intriguing character. Overpowered characters are not interesting.

OK, so like, my Chemistry profs are all, "Let's make the students make two gigantic graphs with, like, 50 points each! Yeah!"

It's more for non-LOTUS owners actually, since I don't want to ruin the plot for you guys!

BUT--

If you really do want to enter, and don't mind me divulging plot-related info to you, then please do enter!

I'm trying to hire some people to be around LOTUS because it really needs more staff presence than I can provide.
