Bleach is a manga (and now an anime) series by Tite Kubo ( Kubo Taito), mangaka of Zombie Powder. It is currently at 19 volumes in length (as of October 2005), and new chapters are featured weekly in the Weekly Shonen Jump magazine. (Currently up to chapter 202)

ABOUT

It follows the life of Ichigo Kurosaki, a 15 year old high school student with the ability to see ghosts. A female shinigami (god of death), or Soul Reaper in the English manga, named Rukia Kuchiki runs into him one day while searching for a Hollow (an evil spirit). During an ensuing confrontation with the spirit, she is forced to transfer her powers into Ichigo when she is wounded. Thus the adventures of Ichigo and Rukia Kuchiki begin, and together they search out Hollows and perform soul burials, cleansing the spirits and sending them to Soul Society.

I like Bleach. I have the majority of the volumes in japanese and it's quite intresting. ^___^

I was first introduced to Bleach in 2002, and I quite enjoyed it. I was happy when I went to pick up my English copy of volume one. I'm quite pleased with the job VIZ did with translating it.

Yup, I like BLEACH *points to sig* renji! heart

and for the record, though Ichigo does mean strawberry... the kanji for Ichi's name isn't. [his nickname isn't strawberry! *kicks VIZ* nor carrot top! *kicks them again*] Though, from what I hear, VIZ is doing an okay job.. I still need to see for myself.
