Introduction
You are walking down a dark alley in an old part of town. Tall, crumbling old buildings that fell into disuse long ago surround you. You turn, and find a door. You knock.
"Password."
"Victor sent me."
The door opens and an elderly vampire lets you pass. You walk down, down several dark, spiraling steps. Just as you feel it will never end, a faint glow of green light appears. You follow it, until...
The scene before you is a large room. To the left are several booths and tables, all lit with very low light. Clockwise from there is a small stage, and a door leading into the kitchen. In the back, off-center towards the right is a long black bar and several bar stools. The bartender is a giant of a man, at eight feet. Beside the bar are are two doors, one room for storage, and one with four bunk beds inside for those too drunk to get home. On the right of the entrance door is a small couch and some cozy chairs. The rest of the space is open, leaving room for dancing and mingling. Everything is decorated by dreary tones, and the pale, sickening green light reminds one of the grave.
At any given time, various monsters take refuge here. Vampires, demons, werewolves, freaks and madmen---the bartender himself is rumored to be Frankenstein's original creation.
Once you cross this threshold, you leave all semblance of the outside world behind, for the rules change here.
