It was the day i had been waiting for, the day i would pick up my Fenthry. Before my friend Owyln showed me his Fenthry i didn't even know Fenthry existed, fascinated by the story of the feathers and the Fenthry dormant inside of them, i decided i wanted one of my own. The moment i told Owyln he smiled and said he would help me get one. And today I got good news, I got one. Quickly getting all the coins together, which were scattered all over my room, once i found 3000 gold pieces i put them in a simple bag and went on my way to the place where i could pick up my Fenthry. Once i arrived, i stopped for a few moments, a strange feeling taking over: What if i wasn't fit to have a Fenthry. I shook the doubt off of me and gathered the courage to step inside to see someone i did not expect to see, Owyln. I made my way toward him, keeping the bag of gold close. We started talking but soon i heard a voice say my name it was the owner, Louhi. I parted from my old school friend and walked to the owner, once i got close she asked me something i never thought about, a name for my Fenthry. Noticing the golden colours i saw the sun which closely related to Ra, the egyptian god of the sun, at least that is what i remembered. I answered her question with the simple answer: Ra, but to my surprise she forgot the key to the cage so she could not give me my fenthry yet. I was disappointed but none the less i decided to hand her the gold anyway. On my way to the door i heard her scream and i looked over my shoulder, just to see her open the cage and motion for me to come. I aproached her and she handed me the little feather, I stared at it for a few moments before nodding at the owner muttering 'Ra' to the feather.

The day started like any other, I got up just before sunrise. Even though i had a short night, looking at the feather on my nightstand made me smile, I wished the Fenthry would come out of his shell or feather. I decided to keep the feather out of the shower and on the nightstand as i got into the shower. Once i got out I saw the light of the rising sun reflecting off the feather. I went out to get the mail out of my mailbox and to my surprise i found a box with in it a Mobile phone. I searched for a letter or a card to see who i could thank but no card or letter was included. Not finding one i shrugged my shoulders, who cares if they don't want me to know why should i try to find out. I put the phone in my pocket as i made my way back into the house. Once inside i had no idea what i was going to do today so i figured i'd go back to the shop to see if i could meet new people. I grabbed my player and hooked it behind my trousers while putting my feather under the clip of my player. On the way to the shop i kept brushing my fingers lightly over the feather as my eyes kept staring at the sky. In the shop i ran into Owyln and his Fenthry Molly who apparently is very shy, which for some reason annoyed me. Due to the sudden change of my mood Owyln dragged me to his house to talk about my mood change. Luckily on the way there we ran into a girl and i saw my chance to go back home, deciding to go to bed as soon as i got home.

After yesterdays findings’, meaning the fact Ra needs to learn some manners, I decided to dedicate today to teaching him the basics. But first I’m going to tell you how I woke up, abruptly to say the least. Ra thought it was funny to tug my hair until he had some of it in his paws, I know he is a baby still but that I won't tolerate. That's when I decided he needed some people skills, or Fenthry skills, thinking about what happened with him and Molly. Only one problem, how do I teach him not to pull someone’s and how to shake a hand properly. Going for the obvious approach I made some simple signs, one with a creature pulling someone's hair, it had a big red cross through it and I would show him how to shake a hand myself, by shaking his paw. While I made the sign Ra got bored and started tugging my hair again. Shaking my hand I took him off my shoulder and looked into his eyes, a bit annoyed. For some reason the look in my eyes was enough, at least that is what I thought, it only scared him for a few hours. So when he started doing it again, I tugged his hair and he whimpered, looking sadly into my eyes, I just said ''Now you know how everyone feels.. '' I think that was the breakthrough. Now that was taken care of, I had to teach him how to shake someone's hand or paw without breaking that person’s arm. I took his tiny paw into my giant hand and shook his paw, calmly and gently. I knew he liked to imitate things so I figured he would imitate this as well. I couldn't be more wrong, once I put a small wooden doll in front of him, he grabbed the hand and shook it so hard he pulled the arm off. What happened next was funny and touching, once he pulled off the arm Ra started panicking, he frantically tried to put the arm back in place while making soft sounds, sad sounds. Even though the little Fenthry was panicking I couldn't help but smile amusedly, but after a while I felt sorry for him and stroked his head with my thumb muttering to him ''It's only a doll, it's not a real person,'' not even sure if he would understand I took the arm from him and put the arm back in place. Ra tilted his head, confused beyond imagination. Smiling I took the hand off the doll into my own hand and shook it gently once more, this time Ra was paying attention as if he wanted to learn this. After I did a few times I put the doll back onto the table to see what the tiny Fenthry would do. For a few moments nothing happened, but suddenly he stepped toward the doll and carefully took the hand into his paw, gently shaking it. Figuring he knew how to shake a hand, I stroked his head once more, but this was too much. Without even thinking he started to shake harder and harder, ripping the arm off once more. Happy with this second try I put the arm back into its place, instead of giving up Ra boldly stepped toward the doll and tried, over and over again. After about 10 more tries he got it right and when he did he lost his mind, he started to jump around, hugging the doll and then jumping up to cling to the first piece of clothing I was wearing. Feeling proud I lifted him onto my head and Ra stood there, acting almighty. After this long afternoon we went to the library to get some more books for my studies, I was studying ancient gods and ancient weapons, such as swords and maces. Once I got home I saw my little friend Ra was vast asleep on my shoulder, yawning myself I figured it was time for bed, for the both of us. But before I could go to bed I had to put the books away, I was too tired to do so, so I put them down on the bed and gently set Ra down on my pillow and I dropped down beside him, falling asleep in an instant.
