Seven months ago yesterday, i created a petition that called for at least one of two things:
1) Forcing a stopgap between votes and comments
2) Reducing the gold reward for voting and commenting in arena
The petition was a success in the first goal, but only months later did we as Gaians witness the surge of botters and macro users. The Avatar Arena, though its scoring system was drastically altered since the mentioned petition was written, is still polluted. Here are a few cut and pasted examples from a few of my own arena entries:
In fact, they're getting lazy and stupid ... and i'm just pissed off that these are all on my front page!
In one post, i will list the entire comments list and pictures of the common bot. However, that will come after sunday.
At one point while the petition was continuing, a thread was written in Chatterbox, showing how Arena could be exploited.

For months, people like myself and [CNP] Ails von Helson have been working for either harsher punishments or smaller rewards. We must make ourselves heard!
With the macros and bots still being used today, farming is a major concern.
The purpose of this petition is to call for more drastic reforms to the gold system involving Avatar Arena, specifically:
[] The removing of gold reward for both commenting and voting in any and all arenas ... OR
[] The further decreasing of initial rewards for above-mentioned activities
Again, as previously stated in a petition - we as Gaians neither can nor should dictate what methods should be used to correct a problem. We can only demand that it be fixed.
i ask you Gaians - do yourselves a favor and demand that the Arena be repaired so that it will be nigh impossible to profit from spamming the comment boxes!!
