"This is getting terribly boring Osiris, I hope you realize that."

Sutekh, although many of the people in their world called him Seth, said to his brother as they stood, watching over Egypt with boredom as the humans who inhabited it lived their pathetic, boring lives. Osiris glanced at the chaotic god with interest, waving his hand over the lands of Egypt.

"How about this, Sutekh, we’ll make things a bit more interesting. For two hundred years, all those who worship multiple gods will be gifted with powers? Nothing in comparison to our own, of course, but vastly superior to that of the Hebrews."

Sutekh gave a devilish grin, his canines glistening in the desert sun. He turned to his wife, Nephthys, and looked over the woman for a moment before whispering in his sister’s ear. She gave a similar grin, smiling at her sister, Isis, and spoke her husband’s plan to the other two gods.

"Our darling brother has suggested we make a competition out of this. We shall all take on our worshipers, or the equivalent to ourselves in the Greek and other nations who choose not to call us by our true names. The Pharaoh of Egypt will be blessed by all of us, no matter who his patron may be, and in the final generation of this little blessing to entertain you, my brothers, whom so ever can overthrow the Pharaoh proves that their god… or as it is more likely to be: goddess, is truly fit to rule the lands of the Nile."

Osiris looked at Sutekh – knowing this was another of his foolish ploys to overtake the gods. However, the Egyptians had truly made their lives a boring thing to watch over – enough worship to keep them pleased, but not enough to make their infinite lives worth living. A couple centuries of potential mayhem never hurt anybody.

"Very well Sutekh, I will accept these terms. Get your messenger boy and inform Bastet, Anubis, and Thoth, they seem to prefer you to me. I shall inform the rest of the patrons."

Sutekh gave another grin, clapping his hands together as Ash appeared. The minor god looked upon Sutekh with interested eyes, waiting for the god to give him his orders. Said god just grinned and whispered in his ear as he did his wife, perhaps even closer then he had been with Nephthys, and sent the younger god away. Osiris watched the messenger leave, sending him a glare before departing to inform Horus and the others of their competition.

"You will be the Queen of the Gods soon enough, Nephthys."

She stared at him, raising a perfectly kept eyebrow at the notion of his worshipers winning. She may have been married to her unlawful brother, but she hardly considered him the best man for king of the gods. He had never provided her with a child – and he was far too untamed to rule anything. Nephthys, however, quite liked the idea of ruling the lands on her own.

"Of course, Sutekh. We may be able to get the assistance of Apep in this matter; although our other allies will most likely desire power too, Anubis especially, he really does take after his uncle."

Sutekh growled, his hand twitching as claws were tempted to scratch into the skin of the goddess beside him. Calming himself, he looked down upon the humans in Egypt, closing his eyes to find all of his followers and bless them with the power that would benefit them the most.

"Your disloyalty to me is hardly a topic to bring up when you are my competitor."

Nephthys stuck up her nose, turning away from her husband as she began to walk to another part of the world, far away from Sutekh.

"At least my disloyalty was with the king of the gods, while you go as low as to dishonor me with a messenger boy and the prince of the kings. For the next two centuries, my brother, I am nothing more to you then Isis or Osiris, and you can expect the same from Bastet and Thoth. You are on your own for this one."

You can have ANY sort of power you desire - necromancy, elements, super strength/speed/sight/whatever, xxx-kinesis. As long as you don't god-mode with it, you are free to have the ultimate power of whatever it may be that you so believe will assist you in the roleplay. Also, the more characters trying to overthrow the Pharaoh - the merrier!

Generally speaking; try to keep from repeating patron gods (or goddesses) amongst the priests and priestesses - if they all worshiped Bastet - the other gods would invoke their wrath upon Egypt, now wouldn't they? Also - if you don't know enough about the Ancient Egyptian culture - may I suggest doing a wikipedia search for the information?

o1 x This is a literate-advanced roleplay; all posts are required to have at least two paragraphs. Some exceptions will be made to have one paragraph - but less is never going to be accepted.
o2 x If you are playing the Prince or Princess - you cannot be in your late twenties if the Pharaoh is 35. In turn - if you are playing the Pharaoh or Queen, you should probably be at least 16 years older then your children.
o3 x No godmoding, powerplaying, Mary-Sue's, Gary-Stu's, and all that jazz. No one-hit kills (and no killing without permission) and all characters have their weaknesses.
o4 x Romance is allowed (and encouraged); but keep it PG-13 in the boards. If you want to go higher with it - take it to PMs or IMs.
o5 x You may use images and they may be from anime (not Yuugiou though) if it is what you desire.
o6 x Your characters are Ancient Egyptians, Hyksos, Greeks, or Persians. Therefore, their names will reflect as such - due to the fact that it is difficult to come up with names; MODERN Arabic and Greek names are accepted; but they would not be named Kazuki, Joey, etc.
o7 x You are required to post at least once every two weeks; more is preferred; but I will accept this limit.
o8 x Be respectful to your other roleplayers (although your characters can fight as much as you please).
o9 x Fonts must be in a readable color and between font sizes 9 and 11. You may create an autofont for your characters that break these rules; as long as the actual roleplaying text follows the rules.
1o x Finally, keep the foul language to a minimum, keep the OOC posts in the OOC board, and have fun!

      t h e r i s i n g s u n » [double] [NEGATiiVE]
      g o d s d u b b e d t h e e » Sekhmet
      a s t h e n i l e f l o o d s » twenty-seven
      h u s b a n d o r w i f e » female
      h i e r a r c h y » high priestess

      c r e a t i o n o f t h e g o d s » necromancer
r a ` s b l e s s i n g » Sekhmet is a fairly tall woman (at least for an Ancient Egyptian), a few inches taller then the average priestess. She has the sun-kissed skin of her culture, adorned with the gold of royalty and the finest linens in Egypt. Her lower arms have bracelets leading up just short of her elbows with a thick serpentine band on her upper arm while her shoes are made of a fine wooden base, thin golden straps leading up a few inches above the ankle. She wore a long beige linen skirt that was held up with red and blue beads threaded through thin gold straps around her waist. Her shirt, crossing over both of her breasts and tying around the back, had a thick gold neckpiece attached to the top, black lines streaking their way across the jewelry leading to a broad center piece: an ankh. Like much of the royalty and nobility – she wore a cobra headpiece to show her status and wealth.

The high priestess’ hair is deep black, kept straight and perfect for the sake of her beauty (something expected of a woman with her status), red and blue beads braided at the end of the strands (by her waist). She is very thin and has a strong woman’s figure – standing straight and with all her class no matter the situation. The only affect her birthright has on her appearance is on her nails, giving them a glossy look and sharpened shape; longer then the usual nails of an Egyptian woman, but not long enough for a man to stare in wonder. Scorched and cut into the skin around her darkened right eye, the Eye of Ra is decorating her face as a sign of loyalty to the gods. Like the Queen of Egypt, Sekhmet tends to wear dark ashes around her eyes and dark red powder on her lips; again – a sign of power and riches.
p r a y f o r y o u r s o u l » Sekhmet is an intelligent woman, thinking before she acts and knowing when a plan of action is a good one and when it is not. She is literate (a rare thing amongst Egyptians, especially women) and has a good amount of knowledge about the military and politics from her readings and conversations with the Pharaoh. She is organized, keeping the temples in order and the festivals plentiful. However, while she has a great amount of power and use in the hierarchy of Egypt, she is one of the Pharaoh’s main dangers in keeping Egypt the way he wants it. Behind closed doors, Sekhmet shows some personality traits that can prove to be deadly for their king.

Power-hungry and practically the embodiment of greed, she has made it her goal to kill the Queen, Prince, Princess, and High Priest to gain herself the right to the throne should the Pharaoh pass on (preferably of unknown causes). She desires nothing more in this world then to become the next Queen of Egypt and considers murdering half a dozen or more people nothing more then a “speed bump” on the road to victory. Using her natural charm and charisma to gain their trusts, Sekhmet intends to ally herself with any army that will accept her leadership (if she can: the Egyptian army; but any other army, or armies, will serve her purposes) and conquer the Nile River Valley. Her goals for the future of Egypt include the most powerful army the kingdoms have ever seen, advancing technology and the mass intelligence, ensuring the worship of every god and goddess, and (of course) building many shrines and pyramids in her honor. For the time being, however, she is content with her position as High Priestess and relishes in the riches she gets (especially the fine cuisine).
o n t h e p a p y r u s » Sekhmet was born to the previous High Priest of Horus and a Priestess of Isis in the capital city, living a casual life in the temples and in the palace with the scribes and scholars. By the time she was ten, she had befriended a majority of the king’s harem and a few of the scholars who had taken a liking to the young girl. When her mother died a year later, her father had decided it was time for Sekhmet to become a priestess herself – allowing her to work with the High Priestess until she could start her own temple. After two years of training, she had decided to open a temple to the god Anubis, encouraging people to pray with the god who runs your afterlife (after all – you will spend many more years in the afterlife then you will in this life). Ten years of running her temple passed (her father had died during those ten years), holding festivals throughout all of Luxor and aiding the other temples, when the High Priestess passed away – appointing Sekhmet as her successor.

In her recent years, plans of taking over the throne of Egypt have become her main priority and she spends most of her free time devising plans to take control from the Pharaoh. She has formulated a variety of plans – ranging from poisonings, mass conspiracy, and an old fashioned murder of the king – and now she is looking for allies in her quest, people she can promise power to in exchange for closed lips and an extra stab. While she is on duty, however, she is in charge of the Upper Kingdom’s religious affairs; keeping all of their gods as happy as possible and holding festivals as often as she can (conversing with the head of agriculture to keep the barley in a steady flow). Like most Egyptians, she worships many gods and goddesses, but her patron deity is Anubis because of his aid in her necromantic powers. Sekhmet is currently working on seducing the generals of the four ancient armies to join her against the Pharaoh, promising them a position as her king, the Pharaoh of Egypt.
      i n v o k e y o u r d e i t y » can control corpses; commune with the spirits of the dead; worships Anubis predominantly
s e v e n p l a g u e s » For no reason that can be explained; Sekhmet has severe antlophobia (fear of floods) and mild heliophobia (fear of sun). Generally keeping her inside during the day hours and as far from the Nile River during flood season as she can possibly can whilst in the royal cities. In addition to her irrational phobias, she can’t stand most birds (she says its unnatural for anything to be able to fly; and their calls annoy her to death) and is a bit of a sadomasocist.
      u p o n a h o r s e - d r a w n c h a r i o t » bow and arrow
      w e i g h t h e s c a l e s » herself; evil

      g i f t o f t h e g o d d e s s » cobra named Apep; Siamese cat named Bastet
      f l u t e s , h a r p s , d r u m s » avarice – disturbed
      i s i s o r s e t h » bisexual
b r e a k o u t t h e b a r l e y » Sekhmet has mild ophiophilia (love of snakes) and commonly scares people with her attraction to the reptiles. She loves doing foreign relations work for the Pharaoh, especially in the warring Greek cities and Persia.

      t h e r i s i n g s u n » [double] [NEGATiiVE]
      g o d s d u b b e d t h e e » Nefertiri
      a s t h e n i l e f l o o d s » seventeen
      h u s b a n d o r w i f e » female
      h i e r a r c h y » thief

      c r e a t i o n o f t h e g o d s » elementalist
r a ` s b l e s s i n g » Nefertiri, standing just below five feet tall, is a small, thin woman without many feminine features to her name; fairly flat-chested, short-cut hair, and hardly the fairest woman in the land of the pharaohs. Her skin has the usual tan of the Egyptians, roughened by the stone and sand against her body in her few years of labor and larceny. Her hair is a dark brown, not quite as black as some of the other Egyptians, but nothing close to blonde either. One eye a beautiful mix between blue and green; while her other eye is a more bland mixture of gray and hazel – Nefertiri was born with heterochromia iridis (having two different color irises). Being born to a poor family and growing up in such a setting, she is not a woman who is fond of make up, and will only wear the jewelry that she is the most fond of from her raids of the tombs.

On these raids, she is usually wearing a black cloak – tied together with golden silk around the neck to keep the hood fitted in place and the winds from throwing it off her. Underneath the dark shroud, she wears a black top covering her chest and upper-stomach, forming sleeves about half way down her upper arms. The sleeves become baggier as they reach her wrists, ending with some torn frills (she probably stole the shirt on a raid and it has been torn multiple times since). She wears similarly styled knee-length pants, although this piece of attire is in much better condition. Like many of her fellow robbers, she has never bothered to steal herself a pair of shoes – so walks around bare foot on the hot sand nearly all of the time.
p r a y f o r y o u r s o u l » Nefertiri respects her fellow thieves, doing as much as she can to protect the men and women of her band and keeping the few children they have well fed. Deep down inside, she is a caring and compassionate woman, helping her friends and family to the best of her abilities and keeping them all out of danger. She is determined to keep them all off the streets and out of the royal prisons, but she knows that there is no way to guarantee their safety with her lack of skills. Despite her sheer detest of the human body; she has slept with men and women of higher class to get money for her home and to keep their mouths shut about the robberies of the past. This combination of desperate determination has affected her outlook on life and general kindness to the people around her.

Despising all forms of physical contact and emotional aid, she has isolated herself from the rest of the group (only talking to them if the matter concerns the health, wealth, or happiness of the others). As she gets older, she loses hope in keeping her band of thieves safe and the desire to continue on with this retched way of life has fallen. Nefertiri, while not the most intelligent woman in Egypt, knows that this way of life will only lead to tragedy. As her thoughts darken, her compassionate nature depletes and the tomb robbers have become less and less reliant on her, for their own benefit. If things cannot be fixed in the near future, it is her plan to join the Pharaoh’s harem and kill him in his sleep – if only to gain the power and money needed to bring things to the way they were years ago.
o n t h e p a p y r u s » Born to a peasant farmer and his wife, Nefertiri spent the first seven years of her life on the farm lands – learning how to work the floods of the Nile and gather the crops before they dried out again. Her father died of disease, a plague upon Egypt that many in the area had fallen to, and left the two women on the streets to fend for themselves. They spent six years as beggars, working the jobs of the Hebrews to keep clothes on their backs and some food in their stomachs, until Nefertiri was twelve and her mother passed away – overworked and starving, it was too much on the older woman. Orphaned, the young woman joined a band of thieves and learned the ways of taking what she needed and giving only to those she wanted, rather then the higher council of Egypt. With her powers, she soon became the leader of the bandits and a renowned thief of Egypt.

It was when she was sixteen when things began to go downhill – the security was increased and a simple raid usually resulted in the lives of her men or her having to kill the guards of the Pharaoh. In order to keep her friends safe, she accompanied a high-ranking priest for the night and found herself with a son before she had turned seventeen. While many of the other thieves are willing to take care of her son, a child needs its mother in order to stay at the top of its health, and her baby only further keeps Nefertiri from raiding the tombs and villages. Despite all of the trouble and burden the baby has caused her, and the memories it brings to her, she still loves it with as much of her heart as she has left and adorns it with anything she can find that belonged to a previous king. She hopes for nothing more then a good life for her son, even if that means giving it up to the priest who is the rightful father.
      i n v o k e y o u r d e i t y » can control the elements (water, air, earth, fire [lightning]); worships Sutekh (Seth)
s e v e n p l a g u e s » Nefertiri is extremely weak physically (the magical energy required to control the elements takes a toll on her body) and she requires a lot of rest, especially after a robbery. She has enough strength to carry the treasures from the tombs out of the pyramids – but usually has to meet up with her allies in order to get it to safe grounds.
      u p o n a h o r s e - d r a w n c h a r i o t » sharpened wooden staff
      w e i g h t h e s c a l e s » her friends and herself; generally good (thieving aside)

      g i f t o f t h e g o d d e s s » small black dog named Irisi
      f l u t e s , h a r p s , d r u m s » rum is for drinking, not for burning – senses fail
      i s i s o r s e t h » mostly asexual; but has bisexual tendencies
      b r e a k o u t t h e b a r l e y » Her son’s name is Baraka.

      t h e r i s i n g s u n » [double] [NEGATiiVE]
      g o d s d u b b e d t h e e » Akhenaten
      a s t h e n i l e f l o o d s » twenty-one
      h u s b a n d o r w i f e » male
      h i e r a r c h y » scholar/scribe; greek spy

      c r e a t i o n o f t h e g o d s » elf
r a ` s b l e s s i n g » Akhenaten is a bit short for an Egyptian male and of an average weight. He doesn’t have a particularly strong build, enough strength to stand against somebody in a fight – but certainly not enough to be considered of warrior class. Dirty blonde hair down to his chest, usually tied back with a black ribbon (but the bangs tend to be in his face), and rarely seen black and white eyes dawn his features and make him more noticeable then the average scribe, being much more pretty and bizarre in the eyes. His skin is a bit lighter than the average Egyptian’s, perhaps due to the amount of time spent in Greece, and is as smooth as a new born child’s. He also tends to have a slight red tinge to his cheeks at most time (probably because he is very easily embarrassed and shy). In addition to his other feminine features, Akhenaten makes sure that his servants attend to his nails (fingers and toes) to have them as clean and cut as the Ancient Egyptian pedicure could allow.

Due to his lack of sight – he tends to wear a white silken blind over his eyes so nobody can see the scars around his oddly colored eyes. He wears a large amount of gold jewelry: ankhs on his pointed ears, the Eye of Ra around his neck, and a variety of gold bracelets and anklets adorning the rest of his body. He dresses in a traditional white robe, black hieroglyphs surrounding the bottom and cuffs with a blessing to Thoth written around it in a circle. He wears traditional sandals, made of gold and a soft wood, with straps just above his ankles. Akhenaten also has a habit of carrying around a broken hourglass, although his reasoning is not known by even his closest of friends.
p r a y f o r y o u r s o u l » Akhenaten, despite his treachery to the Pharaoh, is still a fairly good person to the rest of the people in Egypt (and more so to the people of Greece). He is extremely bashful and embarrassed by essentially any compliment sent in his direction (unfortunately, do to his feminine appearance and intelligence – he gets a lot of flattery). Perpetually stuttering and constantly blushing, most people find the young scribe antics adorable (albeit a bit womanly). Despite the constant praise, he has fairly low self-confidence and doubts his abilities in everything (even the things he has dedicated his life to doing). Because of this – Akhenaten tends to isolate himself from other people as much as possible, which lead to him becoming a spy for the Spartan army.

While he loves his homeland, Greece has been rising in power over the years and the Pharaoh continues to do nothing about it; so for the benefit of his people, he has joined with the Greeks to conquer Egypt in exchange for the safety of the Egyptians (Hebrews aside, of course). His blindness gives him a mysterious aura and his powers only aid in the mysticism behind the young man. It is a strategy he uses around those who don’t already know him well to give himself whatever advantage he can get. With this quality – the terms were set and he returned to Egypt as a spy for the Greek military and began to give off the fantastic appearance he had in Greece (he had become blind on the way there; the Egyptians had not known of his condition until he returned). He continues to isolate himself, sticking to the scrolls and gaining information for his assistant, Xenocrates.
o n t h e p a p y r u s » Akhenaten was born to a priestess and a scribe, growing up educated in the scrolls and the gods and literate by the age of thirteen. Spending most of his time in the royal libraries, gaining more knowledge on the past and present of his nation; reading the stories of the gods and goddesses since the civilization began. Eventually, his father taught him the techniques and knowledge needed to be hired as a scribe for the higher officials of the palace, and began training to serve the King of Egypt. From the age of sixteen up, he served a variety of people in the palace with his scholarly skills; but it was not until he was eighteen when the Pharaoh hired him to work in his tomb and depict the afterlife that he would go through one day.

It was after two years of serving the Pharaoh that he realized the dangers of impending war and revolution and decided, for the benefit of his people, that it was time to change his loyalties. On his voyage to Greece three years ago, Akhenaten was severely injured in the face when some passing by Greeks attacked him. The battle left him completely blind in the left eye and slowly blinding in the right, and because of this, his rank was changed upon his return to Egypt (becoming a message-writing scribe for the Pharaoh [which actually was useful to his mission in the long run]). With his mystifying quality, he entered the Greek city-state and made his request – the terms were agreed to as long as somebody was sent as his guard and assistant (they could not trust a week scribe to make it back to Egypt, let alone stay true to his word). He continues to serve the Pharaoh as a scribe, collecting information and giving it to the various warriors who remain outside the city in waiting.

While his capabilities to carve in the tombs and buildings was lost, he is still capable of painting the simple hieroglyphs on papyrus. He also gained his scar from this battle.

r a ` s b l e s s i n g » Rebellious towards the fashion trends of the time, Amenti refuses to wear hair extensions or wigs. (Despite their status as a fashion trend, she looks down upon the women that adorn their head with false hair.) Instead Amenti has grown her own hair down the length of her back and braids her hair in a plait. She uses rosemary oils to keep her hair long and vibrant. Amenti is tall, slender, and somewhat darker than the average royalty.

In order to keep cool (since she does not shave her head as most wealthy Egyptians do), Amenti wears a kalasaris made from linen, which flows from her breasts down to her feet. She has jewels made of gold and lapis lazuli that she wears when she leaves the palace; the jewels show that she has an elevated position in the hierarchy, but it does not reveal that she is the princess. Most of the time, all she wears is one special necklace that was given to her at birth.
p r a y f o r y o u r s o u l » Amenti has an immense desire to serve others, though she has other ideals that are quite distant and therefore unreachable. She is both introspective and social, consequently having to find some sort of balance; her wandering provides adequate time for both socializing and introspection. Amenti is highly emotional at times and will lose herself in the spiritual and mystical. She is constantly looking inside of herself and others, finding new flaws and deeper mysteries with each exploration.

However, at the same time as she is religious and serving, Amenti longs for power, uncaring of what form it comes in Few are able to see her ambition, will power, and perseverance. None see it as clearly as her trainers, Anukis and Bes. She has tremendous skill at handling others and she suspects that she has a rather large group of people that would follow her if she asked. Despite this skill, she can appear rather gruff at times when her impatience and scepticism shines through her mask of tact and prudence.
o n t h e p a p y r u s » Born to the Pharaoh and his Queen sixteen years ago in the palace, Amenti has lived in the same palace where she was born throughout her entire life. She was granted her own isolated part of the palace as she became older and she spent as little time with her family as possible. Amenti knows little about her family, especially her older brother, whom she has seen little more than three times, and she couldn't care less. She spent quite a lot of time with the healers. Sometimes, the healers would allow her to help with the patients. When she was younger, she would follow the healer's instructions and use the herbs to heal patients. However, when she was thirteen, Amenti found her patients healing at an accelerated rate. The healers were the first ones to put the puzzle together and informed her that she was a mage. One of the healers, Anukis, taught her how to control her powers. Over three years of secret apprenticeship, Anukis and Amenti became friends, and Amenti still spends most of her time with her.

Amenti also spent a lot of her time wandering around the palace grounds, around the city, and sometimes even venturing beyond the boundaries of Luxor. She loves to meet new people, and she has an extensive list of interesting friends that would alarm her royal family, because the list includes even the lowest levels of associates. Her mother and father are furious when she returns, but she continues to travel anyway. It has benefited her in several ways, because Amenti found her next friend, Bes. Bes was a medium that taught Amenti how to control her second power after she confessed her secret to him. Bes now lives in Luxor, where Amenti regularly finds him waiting.

She is the Queen, and therefore she looks as such. She is young (compared to her husband, at least), and she has flawless, tanned skin---a gift bestowed upon her by the highest of Gods. Her hair is straight, and the blackest of blacks, falling down her shoulders and back. She is usually to be found to have something atop her head, a headdress or crown, and usually has some sort of gold or jewels entwined in her hair. She is to look perfect, and when she walks, her hair barely moves---a thing she mastered sometime ago. Her clothing is only the finest, though she wears little to none of it. Her body is for the Pharaoh, and the Pharaoh only, and therefore, like the rest of herself, is kept perfect.

She is on the tall side, and she is a voluptuous woman. Her clothing fits her body quite perfectly, though most of the time it only consist of a bit of body paint and charcoal, along with a few slips of fabric to cover her. Gold and jewels adorn her, and she loves them so. A few jewels line her eyes, as does charcoal---contrasting against her chocolate brown eyes which are near perfect.

p r a y f o r y o u r s o u l » Hatshepsut is the picture of elegance. Being a queen, and a wife to the most powerful man in Egypt, she has to be. It is hard to get her angry or mad, and she handles most situations with the up most wisdom and intelligence. It seems near impossible to outsmart her, she has quite a head on those royal shoulders of hers. She pays her respects to most everyone though, unless she doesn’t like you, of course. She’ll put on that little facade that she actually does enjoy your company, but she’ll slip in harsh insults here and there ever so cleverly. Though, she only lives to serve her Pharaoh, so anything he tells her, no matter what… She’ll (sometimes reluctantly) do it.

But, when you do get her angry to the point of no return… She is not afraid to get her hands dirty. Some people tend to forget that she is indeed the Queen, and has many assassins, soldiers, and mass armies at her command within a snap of the finger. Also, many a guards and priests that will be willing to sacrifice you at her command. Just, promise me this. You won’t get her mad. She is very loving though, when it comes to friends and family. She will dote upon her children to no end, and she can, most of the time, be found fawning over her husband.

Over all, though, there are a few words to describe her. Elegant, sly, and powerful.

o n t h e p a p y r u s » Hatshepsut was born to the Pharaoh’s personal advisor and his wife---it was known that she was going to become wife to the Pharaoh even before she was born. She lived a charmed life already in the Pharaoh’s palace, already being treated like a princess, she knew what was to happen to her, and she was perfectly fine with it. She did have many private tutors and the like though, to teach her the history, economics, everything about Egypt before she was to become Queen, so she would live up to her title.

When she turned fifteen, she and the Pharaoh were married under the highest blessing of the highest priests, and well, there you have it. She was the Queen of Egypt when she was sixteen. Of course, the Pharaoh is significantly older then her, but.. that was just tradition. By the time she was sixteen, though, she was pregnant with the Pharaoh’s first child, and gave birth to a healthy baby boy. Only a year later, she began pregnant once more, this time with a beautiful baby girl. The Pharaoh and herself have yet to have any more children, but she has already produced two healthy heirs to the throne, so no more are needed.

Now, though, she has a bit of trouble on her hands. She has heard rumors of the high priestess plotting her and the Pharaoh’s downfall. She finds this to be most disturbing, seeing as both her and the priestess worship the same God, Anubis. Of course, her husband doesn’t know that, he think she worships him. But, that is far from the truth. She has had the power of darkness bestowed upon her, and can manipulate it to her will---but little to no one knows this. She wonders if the high priestess has figured it out, but as far as the Queen knows… She hasn’t… Yet.

i n v o k e y o u r d e i t y » She has the power to manipulate and control darkness and shadows [OoC; Think like, Raven from Teen Titans, lol], and she can speak directly with Anubis himself. She, of course, worships Anubis.
s e v e n p l a g u e s » One of her biggest weaknesses is the Pharaoh. She has to do what he commands her to, she doesn’t exactly know why, she just feels.. drawn to. She has a feeling that he had his high priest put some sort of curse on her, but she is not certain. She also has a fear of canines. Do not ask her why, she just…likes her cats better.
      u p o n a h o r s e - d r a w n c h a r i o t » All she needs are her powers of darkness and shadow, and she is fine. She also carries a small dagger, hidden on her back, underneath her hair—at all times. Just incase.
      w e i g h t h e s c a l e s » Anubis; Evil. She does have to side with her husband, though, of course---and her children.

      g i f t o f t h e g o d d e s s » Two pitch black cats; one, a female, named Javani, and the other, a male, Javani’s mate, named Kemnebi. She also has a large, male ball python named Badru.
      f l u t e s , h a r p s , d r u m s » Beautiful Liar---Shakira && Beyonce [OoC; Don’t ask, I couldn’t think of anything else, xD]
      i s i s o r s e t h » Most assume her to be heterosexual, but she isn’t too sure herself.
      b r e a k o u t t h e b a r l e y »The only ones to know about her powers are her daughter, and Anubis himself. She suspects the high priestess, Sekhmet to know about them, but she isn’t entirely sure.
