Something wonderful happened yesterday, though it drove me to a panic before I realized what had happened.
I left to go and hang out with some of my friends for a while, even though I dearly wished not to leave my feather. Still ... it would do me no good to stay cooped up in my house, and it was important that I go and de-stress. With all the projects I've had the last few days, relaxation was something I needed desperatly.
I had a good time while I was out, but when I returned I couldn't find my feather anywhere.
I searched all around the pillow I had neatly set it on, looking high and low. I checked the windows, seeing that they were closed. A great fear grabbed hold of me and I felt a knot tieing in my stomach. Had someone come and stolen my precious Hagane? With wide eyes, I made for the nearest phone, which happened to be in my room.
It took me a moment to hear the small noise comming from my bed, but when I did I put the phone down, not having dialed any numbers yet. I aproached the bed hessitantly, seeing a lump under the covers, moving around. When I got to the bed, I grabbed the covers and threw them back, seeing a Fenthry there.
For a moment, I wondered how he had got there, but then I came to notice the markings on his body. They were the same as my beautiful feather. A tear came to my eye and I knelt down, giving him a hug.
-"Hello Hagane ... welcome to your new home."-
It was all I could say to him without bursting into more tears, and so he just nodded a little bit and gave me a tentative hug in return before he wiggled out of my grasp, retreating back under the covers.
I slept on the couch that night, not wishing to disturb by poor Fenthry.
Today has been interesting, playing games of hide and seek with Hagane. Actually, we're playing now ... I just needed to write before I couldn't take it anymore! Well, I'll write more later. Now I must go find my Fenthry before he gets into the laundry detergent again ...
