3/13/05: Things are going to be a little weird for a while. Due to a friend having to be hospitalized for critical conditions, my online time is almost certainly going to be cut. Also, I just found a job. Go me. domokun But that means I'll be working weekends. Fear not, though, for this shop shant die!
2/26/05: The flatsale prompt is up, under the "Sales" section! I started it a little early, so as to give people in the various time zones better chances of entering. This flatsale will still end at 5pm est TOMORROW, rather than today as originally planned.
2/23/05: The Spring Flatsale will be on Saturday, 2/26/05, at 12pm est. It will be a writing flatsale; meaning that at 12pm I will post a prompt, and anyone wishing to enter shall answer it to the best of their abilities. I will no longer accept entries after 5pm est that same day. The 5 best prompts will be give the mailboxes, being that the best prompt will get first pick, etcetera etcetera. Any questions regarding this flatsale should be posted here in the thread. 3nodding

11/10/04: The coloring contest will begin this Friday. An auction for a Clownfish colored male mailbox will begin Friday as well.
10/27/04: Halloween's around the corner (this Sunday, to be exact), and I'm mucho busy preparing for it. I'm helping out at the SOA, so there won't be a big event here, I'm afraid. There will, however, be Trick-or-Treating freebies available on page one during Halloween Weekend, and maybe even a few freebies hidden throughout the thread ninja (if I decide to do so, I'll be sure to say so. That way people won't be searching through 100+ pages for nothing. xd ) Plus, for those who say "Trick-or-Treat!" while I'm on Gaia, might just get something special. 3nodding However, the only plan that's set in stone for now is the freebies on page one during Halloween weekend. The rest is brewing around in my head at the moment. More details to come.

What in the bloody Hell is an Eoghan Slenin?!:
Originating in the highest of mountains, Eoghan have evolved
to have a high tolerance to intense conditions. Even their name
roughly means "Spirits from the Mountains". Now, they reside in "Oifig an Ploist" (which literally means "Post office" wink ; a large castle that rests on the clouds. However, this isn't your ordinary floating castle XD. This is a place busy with life, as millions of letters travel in and outvia the Eoghan Post.
What are those stamps on the tags?:
The stamp on the tag of an already "hatched" Eoghan will indicate the optimal route this Eoghan should be traveling during it's deliveries. To
learn more about the routes, please see the RP section. When a stamp is on the tag of a letter, that stamp is basically an indication (/preview) of what the Eoghan will look like.

<center>~* Growth Stages *~</center>

"Hatching" Stages:
Mailbox- when two Eoghan breed, they prefer to hatch the eggs on their own. After that, they put the hatchlings in a... mailbox, which basically is the equivalent of an egg. sweatdrop Oh, you silly Eoghan, you...
Oh, and since I've never actually witnessed an Eoghan "hatching", I'm not sure how long it takes. Guess mailbox flatsale #1 will be my guinea pigs. xd
Letters- Adult Eoghan come from letters, rather than babies. Basically, when an Eoghan has finished it's training in the central post office, I receive a letter of notificiation that it will soon be arriving here to help with deliveries, and to train young Eoghan. It generally only takes a couple of days for a trained Eoghan to arrive.

Hatchling (baby) Stage:
When an Eoghan is but a hatchling, it prefers to spend much of it's time sleeping. However, when it is awake, they're very curious and get into everything. wink Hatchlings are about the size of a house cat, and generally stay hatchlings about a week.

Fledgling (child) Stage:
Like any child, fledglings are bundles of energy that thrive on love and play. This is a very crucial time for an Eoghan to learn the basics of delivery. The older Eoghan (or sometimes even a very experienced messenger) teach fledglings how to fly, remember routes, aboid dangers, and help them get an overall feel for delivery. Fledglings are about the size of a large dog, and can carry a small child in flight if they so desire. They stay this way about 11 days.

Adult Stage:
When an Eoghan becomes an adult, it can officially begin it's delivery route with it's messenger. Clever, fast, and strong, adult Eoghan are determined workers. However, when not on delivery, they make wonderful friends and train fledgling Eoghan. Adult Eoghan can range from the size of an average horse, to that of a clydesdale horse (don't know what a clydesdale is? They're big. Really big. Go look it up. xd )

<center>~* Guest Colorist Applications *~</center>

Are you pretty confident with your coloring abilities? Looking to make some extra gold? Then why not apply for a guest-colorist position?

All guest colorists get to keep 100% of profits from their coloring; whether it be sold in an auction or flatsale. That means that the max amount of gold a guest colorist can earn is 20k per Eoghan (20k is the autobuy price of a mailbox).
Also, any guest colorist who does not already have an Eoghan may color one for themself!

Guest Coloring Rules:
1.) Once you've completed your guest coloring, you may not use the lineart for anything else. That's theft, punk.
2.) Once you've completed a guest coloring, you must re-apply if you'd like to do another.
3.) One person may do a maximum of 2 guest colorings a month.
4.) No editting the lineart unless I specifically tell you that you may.
5.) Please, don't whine about how much gold you make in an auction. 20k is the maximum amount, with 1k being the minimum. Keep
in mind autobuys and all that stuff. Also, you may receive both items and gold from a bidder. That's the way it goes.
6.) If I don't let you do a guest coloring job, it could be for a number of reasons. I might just not like your abilities (I know, that's harsh. But I can't help it... crying ), I may not want any Eoghan distributed at the moment, a hiatus may be in effect, etc. However, I'll keep all applications on file. Therefore, I may PM you someday in the future and offer you the opportunity to do a guest coloring. You have every right to decline at that time.
7.) If it becomes apparent to me that the examples you used weren't that of your own, or you didn't read the rules, you will NEVER be allowed to color an Eoghan, and depending on the severity of the situation, own one either.

<center>~* Breeding *~</center>

Rules:
1.) You can't just buy an Eoghan and say "OMGWTF i want her to hav bebeiz!!11". Breeding is something special. Therefore, a certain amount of RP is required in order for your Eoghan to breed. RP isn't required overall at this shop, but it is for breeding. When you've RPed enough for your Eoghan to breed, you'll see a "B" next to their name in the owners list.
2.) Like most birds, Eoghan breed for life. So choose wisely in the game of love. wink
3.) Only adult Eoghan can breed.
4.) No inbreeding. I don't want to see brothers and sisters flirting around in the thread with each other... that's just... ugh... gonk
5.) Eoghan can only breed twice in their entire lifetime. Keep this in mind...
6.) Once an Eoghan has bred it's first time, it has to wait at least one month before it can breed a second time.
7.) Genders don't matter. BxB and FxF is fine. 3nodding
8.) More rules to come... once I think of them. xd

What Can I do with the Mailboxes?
1.) Well, obviously both owners will need to agree on the distribution of the boxes- keep that in mind.
2.) They can be sold in a flatsale for 2k each. The owners would keep 75% of the profit (which will be divided evently between the two, unless they state otherwise), and I would keep 25%.
3.) The owners can keep them for themselves.
4.) They can be given to a friend free of charge (or you can make them pay 2k- no more, no less... other than free. xd )
5.) If an owner who's Eoghan has just bred has another idea as to what to do with a mailbox(s), ask for my approval first.
6.) They may NOT be auctioned off.

Cost: 3.5k from each owner, or 7k. It may seem like alot, but I work hard on these. Besides, Eoghan generally have good sized litters (an average amount is about 3-5). Also, pay half now, and half after the breeding is complete. 3nodding

<center>~* Kiriban *~</center>

In a nutshell, it means that whoever is the first to post on a certain page number, wins a prize!

What prizes, you ask? Well, here's how it goes- whoever posts first on each 50th page (50, 100, 150, 200, etcetera) may either choose a semi-custom Eoghan, or a shoulders-up portrait of their avatar. 3nodding

Rules:
1.) Should you win a kiriban, you may give away the prize to someone else.
2.) Do not bump continuously or spam in order to get a kiriban. Just let things take their course. 3nodding
3.) A semi-custom Eoghan means that you may choose the gender, stamp-type, 3 colors (in order from most used to least used, please), and a design concept that isn't too complicated (ie: swirls, checkers, flowers, etctera).
4.) If you choose a portrait, you may specify the outfit that your avatar is wearing in it. However, you may not ask for it to be of an original character, famous person, television or game character, etcetera. Just avatars. And you may indicate a facial expression or attitude to give the face, but for the most part I make the artistic decisions.
5.) If either I or [.Pushing the Sky.] get the first post on a kiriban page, the next post made by someone else will be the winner.

Quest Rules:
1.) I know I dont really have any way of preventing this rule from being broken, but I have to ask you to PLEASE do these on your own. No outside help; just you. Pwease? crying
2.) You can't just right out say that you want to do a quest. You name must be under the list of those able to do a specific quest in order to do it.
3.) Unless otherwise noted, you must have an Eoghan in order to take on a quest. However, there may be some exceptions to this rule...
4.) Only adult Eoghan can go on a quest, unless otherwise stated.
5.) If an messenger owns more than one Eoghan, only one Eoghan may go on a specific quest at a time.
