July 17...
Sometime this afternoon Naomi emerged, sadly I was too busy working on other things to actually notice the event. However, some few minutes afterwards I felt a faint shuffling about in my hair, where the feather had been kept, and was a slight bit frightened at first. I reached back and picked something small and squirming from my hair. The little blue body clung tightly to my finger as I looked it over with excitement. She didn't move a lot, nor did she make a noise when being inspected, it seems she's the slightest bit shy.
I took her right afterwards, dropping what I was doing, to the shop and found my usual spot on the couch. Before any of the other fenthry approached us I pulled her once more from my hair and placed her out on the palm of my hand. She seemed to hover for a few moments before promptly falling to my leg. I'm sure she'll get the hang of it with a little bit of time. A few other fenthries came up and the oldest, a sweet little teenage fenthry, tied a lovely silk ribbon to her tail and spun to and fro allowing the others to chase. Naomi seemed a little scared at the others at first but was quite happy playing with the ribbon and hardly seem to notice them after a few moments.
This evening I constructed a small bed of sorts out of a narrow box for a bracelet, a cottonball, and a very fluffy bit of material to use as a blanket. I put it on the windowsill and she cooed happily and fell asleep rather quickly.
