1/28 -- Join us here to discuss Hybrids, 4th Edition! Feel free to leave any comments, ideas or suggestions about it. The shop will not be open during this time, but the more comments and ideas you post will help speed up the long process of redoing the shop and the hybrids. Feel free to stop by even if you are new to the shop and dont own a hybrid! =3



2006 News
3/31-The Table of Contence has been fixed so now all links take you to the right place. Because I reorganized the shop a bit earlier this month, things were a bit off when you clicked on a link to go someplace ^_^;

3/7-The featured companion has been updated. This month is the Asian Clam! there is only 2 available, so be sure to snag one asap if you want one ^_^

also, there has been a "credits" section added to the bottom of the shop with a link to the copyright discussion that took place in the shop last week.

The super hybrid images have also been removed and just linked to to try and cut back on the massiveness of the shop. Other steps to cut down load time will also be taken. ^_^
The size charts are also planned to be redone.

2/15-The valentines day event went well I think, even though it was simple. Thanks to all who stopped by and snagged a couple cookies X3

2/7-Happy Soon to be Valentines Day! There are no major events planned for the holiday in the shop, saddly. I still need to finish up the christmas events o_o. 2 hams need to be updated yet, the auction pet still needs to be done and the evil santa gifts need to be given out (I have been putting this off because I have NOOO time, so I havent forgotten, I just dont have the time to do it now.)
There may be a small valentines day event a the guild for hybrid owners IF I get the free time to do it, but it WILL be small. Most likely bonus points for pets who attend and maybe a small event for a free breeding ticket (again, nothing big).
I want to start remodling the shop too, so after the next flatsale the shop may be a little on and off XD (even more then it already is). Once the remodle is done though, everything will be up and running 100% again which will be good ^__^
Keep an eye open for polls too, I may be having polls for what you think the sticker price for certain evolutions and stuff should be as well as some help choosing potions to sell in the shop. So keep your eyes open. The item shop is nearly complete too, which is great. Again, if you have any ideas for ANYTHING, please post them in the shop! I love hearing what you guys have to say.

11/25-Due to the sucess of the last flatsale, another flatsale is planned for next week! The start date is uncertain as of yet, but only 5 hybrids are expected to be released! they will be marked with the "fall Festival" tag and be themed like the other 10 hybrids were. One of each species will be released and all the rules of the previous flat sale will carry over to this one.

Read before buying!

RULES!
Please read the rules if you are thinking about buying a hybrid, as, it will make life easier for me and you.

1) Please read through all the information. You dont need to memorize or read over everything. But read over the basic information for the service you are interested in. This way I dont have to repeat myself to everyone. Feel free to ask for clarification, or if you have a question. That I have no problem with. Often times, if you have a question about it, others will too, and I often try to clarify things after something is asked about.

2) Dont ask me how to order them, How much the cost or anything else that is very readable in the information. All the important stuff is made to stand out from everything else, Meaning its in a bright color, Bold, Italics, ect. Just, read everything over I guess is what Im saying

3) Dont Ask for specific apperences for you hyrbids unless I am offering customs. Dont order a Tigon (for example) and tell me to a 'T' how you want it. It doesnt work that way. I do my best to make work for you by looking at your clothes, overall gaian apperence, and other pets and pictures in your sigs. If you have a preference for a base color like white, black, or green or what have you, Ill take that into consideration, but dont say you want a yellow Ticorn with purple spots, green flames, pink eyes, and a silver horn O.O There are several reasons why I do this, one, if I have extra time on hand, I make the hybirds up in advance, or I have an idea for one already. I also like to keep the designs unique, different and non-repetive. I know what I have done and how much of it and I try to keep away from designs I use a lot, like fire.

4)Enjoy your hybrid! Dont save it on your computer and never look at it again! Put it in your sig, or on a website you are linking too on your sig. I try to look around at peoples sigs who have bought hybrids before and if I dont see them, it is really kind of a let down. I know some people have bought a lot of hybrids from me and cant put them all in there sig, or they switch pets around, but then keep them on a web site other people can see. I may start taking hybrids away if they are neglected and unloved. Would you put your new pet kitten or puppy in the closet and never look at it? I also strongly recomend rping with your hybrid. Any rp is great! It doesnt have to just be a hybrid rp, rp it as your pet!

5) Stop by the shop often! there are lots of new features being added all the time, some of them you may be interested in. If you are a customer that buys from the shop often, I may inform you of some new features you may be interested in, but there are far too many owners for me to contact everyone every time I update the shop, so bookmark us and stop by whenever you have time to kill.

6) All art work, certing, coloring etc is done by Myself, SapphireRain. DO NOT steal these pets, or anything from this shop and claim it as your own for resale or for websites! These graphics and pets are for exclusive use on Gaia and Gaia ONLY unless you get promission from me to do otherwise. Usually I am pretty understanding and let people use their hybrid character elsewhere, but make sure you ask me first.

The Hyrbids

Domestic Hybrids are the perfect pet for anyone wither they be a Mage a Warrior a Pickpocket or an average Joe!

Domestic Hybrids are a cross between a cat (of some kind or another) and Mythical Animal. There are 3 different breeds to choose from:
Tigon

User Image
--Half Cat Half Dragon. They come in Many different color and pelt designs! their wings and horns also change color. Females have longer manes them Males.

Ticorn

--Half Cat Half Unicorn. They come in a few different colors and normally have stripped pelts. Their main, Tail, hooves and horn can change colors. They have two main different styles of tails.


Tinix

--Half Cat half Phoenix. Come in endless colors and patterns. Their wings are normally a basic phoenix fire color, but they also come in various other shades and patterns on occation

The Rare Hybrids
There are a few breeds of Rare hybrids that can be obtained through a special flatsale or customs. They are not NOMRALLY flatsaled, but on occation, you may see a few of these released. They are more expensive then the basic hybrids as, they are more complicated and are very rare to come across in Drachen Welt. These are the rare breeds that have been spotted fairly often (other rare species are customs and are only released in rare auctions, raffles or special custom offers.)

Zondou

--Half Cat half Fish. Zondou are creatures that can live just as happily on land as they can in the depths of the ocean. They have a regular nose as well as gills, inabling them to stay under water or on land as long as they would like. They have webbed feet and a finned tail, enabling them to swim better. They also have a specal fin were their ears should be. These fins are mearly expressive and help filter sounds into their small ear holes, somewhat like a normal cats ear, but they are not curved in shape. Males have a larger back fin ridge and a second fin on their sides. Females have longer head fur, posionious spines behind their heads/cheeks and a smaller back fin. They come in various colors and have a mix of short, water proof fur and scales, that are often pearly or different colored then their regular coat. their fins are transparent.


Foxen

Half Cat half Fox. Many of their features resemble foxes over cats, including their size, ears, markings and tail, but it is quite easy to tell they are not acctually a fox. Their tails are much thinner at the base, like a cat tail, and end in a fuller more foxlike tip. Their ears, although fox-like, are more rounded and buldge out more like a cats. Their temperment is also very cat like. Foxen tipically have a foxe patterned pelt with either stripes or spots accompaning it. They come in various colors, although they are usually lighter to help them blend in in their snowy white homes. They are excellent climbers and burrowers and by far the best hunters in the cold tundra they often reside in. Males tipically have long fur on their chin, while females have tufted ears.

These Kittens do not 'grow' anymore. True they are 'kittens' when you get them, but their apperence does not change on its own. When they are exposed to a special stone, however, they evolve into larger, stronger creatures.

It is STRONGLY recomended that you save your hybrids to your own server! At the very LEAST make SURE you have them saved on your PC! My photo bucket has reached its max (naturually with over 150 hybrids out) So I have had to start deleting hybrids! If your hybrid appears as a broken image, check by the shop, and if all the images at the shop are working, PM me if you need the image of your hybrid to save it to your pc again. I will temperarily upload it. I CAN NO LONGER HOST EVERYONES HYBRID IMAGES!

Super Hybrids:

What is a Super Hybrids you may ask? Well, a strange discovery has been made! When a Hyrbid is exposed to a special stone, it will evolve into a larger, stronger form of itself! Your adorible little hybrid will no longer be its cute, cuddly, house cat sized self, but grow to be about the size of a tiger or a horse (depending on the kind you have). They will gain more defined, stronger abilites to use in fights or whatever use you may find for them. Here are some examples of the evolved forms (click to view):

Super Ticorn
Super Tinix

The stone that causes the evolution of these Hybrids costs 5,000 Gold and can only be used on a hybrid that has gained a certain amount of experience or drinks a special potion. Your hybrid's markings may change or vary a bit after it evolves depending on what stone it is exposed to. Please fill out the form below and PM it to me when you have filled it out:

You may only get super Hybrids through evolving a Hybrid you already have. It may take up to a week or more to recive your Super Hybrid, depending on how busy I am, but I will not accept your trade untill your hybrid is ready to be sent.
Hybrids can ONLY become "super" if they have a certain amount of experience at the guild. If you want to evolve your hybrid sooner, there is a special potion you can buy to speed up this process. -put potion shop link here yonder.-

About the Super Hybrid stats:
Hybrids are given more stats when they evolve as they are now able to fight (they can before they evolve, but they dont have much power). Among these stats are Agility, Defence, and Magic. Depending on the number given to these stats depends on how strong your hybrid is in that area. It is given on a 1-100 scale. the total number of the stats will equal 300 total points. They also gain 4 main attacks that they know instinctively, but can learn new moves from being exposed to different stones and being equipt with different items. there will always be 2 'attack' based moves and 2 'defence' based moves.
If you are wondering how your hybrid ranks with other hybrids, here are some stat ranges for your reference:
COLOR KEY: Below Average, Average , Above Average, Extrodinary

Attack: 0-39, 40-55, 56-70, 71+

Speed: 0-39, 40-60, 61-75, 76+

Defense: 0-39, 40-55, 56-70, 71+

Magic: 0-39, 40-60, 61-75, 76+

Intellegence: 0-34, 35-50, 51-65, 66+

Elements and Stones:

Elements
Basic Hybrids are born with a special element. These elements are random and effect the apperence of your hybrid. If you have a certain element in mind, you can choose from the list below. There are some 'Rare' Elements that can only be received in special instances. These are not listed. Some elements may change if you request them for certail hybrids also. For example: If your request a Tinix with a Water element, it may not be water but another kind of special element.

Stones
Domestic Hybrids React strangely to certain kinds of Stones. It has been discovered that one kind of stone causes them to evolve into a stronger form. It has also been noted that when Super Hybrids are exposed to an elemential stone that is different then their origonal element, the two elements fuse together to make a totally different element! you can mix any element listed above with the current element of your hybrid, but only when you go to evolve them. Stones cannot be given to your hybrid after they are already super.

Potions
Potions are things that can be given to your hybrid at certian times to do different things to them. There are potions that allow your hybrid to have more then 2 kits, change their element base and more! the complete list, pricing and effects can be found below.

Hybrid Item Shop:

Here you can buy whatever item you may want for your hybrid! You may add an item to your hybrid when you first order them, or after you buy them! once an item is equipt, however, it is there for good. HYbrids are very clingy and would eat you rather then part with their beloved Spiked Collar.

Basic Items
These are the ONLY items that can be equipt to Basic Domestic Hybrids. These items can, however, be sized to fit Super Hybrids too. When you Basic Hybrid evolves, it keeps its items it has equipt.

Every month a limited number of rare companions will be released. Remember that your hybrids can only have ONE companion and ONE chimera.
--To order, PM your request to SapphireRain. Include the Name you want for your companion and any accessories. You cannot color edit featured companions. There is only a limited number of these companions and when they are gone, they are gone. Any left over companions for the month will be saved and relooped again at another time. Make sure you send the trade once you place your order.

Customizing Companions
Companions have the option to be customized if you so desire. Here is a list of what you can do and what it will cost:
Items:
Bells--Can be equipt to any companion. Silver or gold bells with any color of string. 10gold.
Bows--Can be equipt to any Companion. Any color of bow, no patterns. 10 gold.
Feature Changes

The Chimera Lab
Chimeras are a very odd creature. Crafted mostly out of birds, rodents and some leftover parts of verious other creatures, they are made to resemble an already existing Hybrid. They talk very little, usually just making odd noises or repeating various lines from their name sake. They are nearly identical to the hybrid they are crafted after, just...dumber and lacking in any kind of power. These Chimeras are usually sold in pairs (replicas of two hybrids, one hybrid gets the copy of the other and vise-versa.), however single Chimeras can be crafted as well. BE SURE YOU HAVE THE CONCENT OF THE HYBRID YOU ARE GETTING A CHIMERA OF BEFORE ORDERING! If you are buying a pair, each owner will contribute 500 Gold in a trade and when the chimeras are complete, you will be noticed that your hybrid has been updated. If you are ordering a single hybrid it will cost 650 Gold To get a chimera of a non existant hybrid (ex: Bullseye the Dragox has a "bullseye" chimera, but in a different "outfit" and style) Or to get accessories, ect on them. Pairs are an exact replica of a hybrid, singles are different forms/different style/differently accessorized chimera, that is why they cost more. Chimeras are not the most powerful compainion, but by far the most amusing. They make a great gift for that special hybrid in your pets life wink

Here are some topics on that some people have been confused about in the past. If you have a question about the Hybrids, PM me and Ill answer the question as best I can. If it is a good question, it may just find its way here biggrin

Do you do customs and how much do they cost?
I DO do customs, acctually. Here is how it works:
If your looking for something with your own special little design, color scheme, ect, that will range from about 5k-10k depending on complexity.
If you want a hybrid modled after a character or with an EXTREMELY elaborate design you will have to get a super hybrid custom which ranges from 15k(for custom designs) to 25k (for custom cosplay lineart, certs, items, ect)
If you are interested in a custom, dont pm me asking if Ill do it BRIBE ME. You can use money, items Im really looking for, letters, anything you think Ill go for, but be reasonable based on the prices given above.
Make sure you include picture references (if possible) lots of details and pretty much ANYTHING (items, pets poses, backgrounds, stats, ect) you want with your custom. Customs are ment to be...well...custom.
Stats, backgrounds, poses, pets, ect can only be given away for 'free' with a custom that costs 20k+, basic color changes dont come with all the elegance, sorry, but you can still bribe me for rare, new or unusual items via the same method.
Also, catching me in a good mood with a custom request may GREATLY alter the cost. If I havent done a custom in a while and am in a pretty good mood, I could give you a great deal on your hybrd! but dont count on it.

General pricing:
Basic hybrid with minor custom colors 5k-7k.
Basic hybrid with difficult custom color or patterns 7k-10k.
Hybrid "set" (Basic hybrid cosplay that can evolve into a super) 15k-20k
Super hybrid with custom coloration 15k-17k
Super hybrid based off a character 16k-20k
Cosplay Super Hybrid 25k
These prices arent Set, but if you want to know a GENERAL cost, these are it.
Higher end customs (basic 10k+, Super 20k+) Include all custom line art, custom items, custom cert, custom pose, custom stats (for super), option for a custom companion or chimera and anything else you may need. cheeper pets may include some of these features, but the pricing may be adjusted for them


RARES/SPECIAL EDITION HYBRIDS

There may be some confusion between the difference of 'Rare' and 'Special Edition' hybrids, and I shall clear this up now.

Rare Hybrids- Are hyrbids that come in unusual colors, patterns or the like to their breed or the race. here are some examples of 'Rare' Traits for each breed:

Tigon: lighter colored horns, wings with 'patterns' (such as a swirl or fire), Fire marked Pelts, non-tiger striped/spotted pelts.
Ticorn: A horn whose color is not yellow/gold/orange. Pelts with 'glowing' markings, pelts that have something besides normal stripes or spots, dark colored pelts, non-black hooves, ect.
Tinix: Wings with patterns or colors besides 'normal' fire colors (ie, pink and purple wings, ect), 'swirled' or other strangely patterned coats, ect.

These are just examples, there are more traits that would give you a 'rare' hybrid. ALL hybrids are different, but these are traits that are given out less frequently. YOU DO NOT GET TO CHOOSE WHICH TRAITS YOUR HYBRID HAS! it takes all the fun out of it! everything is random, and many hybrids usually have something unique about them.

Special Edition Hybrids - Are hyrbids who have either clothing, accesories, based off a movie character/other character, ect. They are very hard to get a hold of and there are only one or two in existance right now. Again, they are given out randomly. You have a better chance of buying one of these hybrids from a special auction, offer, or raffle then getting a normal 'store bought' hybrid to be 'special edition'.

Is there a Flatsale going on?
You can see if there are hybrids available to by by checking out the 'availability' section of the shop. as long as the stats are soemthing greater then 0/5 and they are not marked as 'unavailable' 'sold out' or something of the like, that breed can be bought

Can you and how do you update an older hybrid into the new style?
It will cost 1000 Gold for a Basic Hybrid to be redrawn to the new look and 6000 Gold for a super hybrid to be redrawn . Special charges will apply for custom line art or changes to apperence.
Please post the URL to your old hybrid with your order or at lest state its name and its species.
You need to choose an element for your hybrid or I will assign one that I see fit and you need to tell me the date you got your hybrid. If you do not know the date you got your hybrid, its DOB will be listed as Unknown.
If you are interested in updating an old hybrid fill out this forum and PM it to me with the trade (unless you want custom line art or want to change something about your hybrid then dont send the trade as I will have to refigure your total.)

SENARIOS!
These are the senarios for the flatsale! Simply chose a senario corrisponding to the house you want to join and repond to it. You can chose to re-write it from the persepctive of your character, tell what happened before the senario, after the senario, however you wish. You can use the characters listed in the senarios and background characters if you need them, but you do NOT use them as your main character in your responce. USE THE HYBRID YOU ARE ORDERING!
I will be judging your responces by looking at your Roleplaying Style, grammer, spelling, plot, and flow. Pretend that you are responding to a REAL roleplaying message and try to be as detailed as you can. Remember, sometimes saying less is more, but a one liner will get you nowhere! Dark House Senariom, Written By Atulia
A strong wind blew through the caves of the Dark House, Ruffling the fur of Kobbeh and her followers, prowling in a uniformed line, the only sound that came from the group was an occasional tumble of a rock knocked out of the way. Deeper into the cave was the main chamber, which the only light reached was the dim light of the magical torches shining multiple colors. Entering the room, Kobbeh's followers filed into a wide line, moments later, all of the torches brightened severely, revealing all of the members of the Dark House, Akuma standing on a large Pedestal. "Hello Kobbeh, So nice to see you here." Akuma spoke,breaking the silence, staring at Kobbeh unblinkingly, a light smile on his face. "You know very well why I am here Akuma. This House is mine." Kobbeh growled, motioning to her followers. "You lie Kobbeh. This House is mine, you know that." Akuma replied, his tone quickly changing to a dark cold deposition, a frown replacing the fake smile held seconds before. Kobbeh motioned again to her followers, shifting her feet. "This house is mine, and I will have it back, even if it brings me to my death. You die now Akuma!"


Light House Senario
*Phoenix Grove, a place of large, ancient trees that reached towards the heavens. The only place for one to really live was in the tree branches of these ancient unnamed trees, and for the Tinixs and Tigons of the Light house, it could be dealt with. The Ticorns had a much more difficult time however. The very large and thick roots gave them very little room to walk, if any at all. Even those with wings suffered as it was hard to grip onto the rough bark with hooves. The small clearing was the only place for these half horse half cat beasts, and they got by. Arwing was a young member of this house. She was merely a kitten in the eyes of the elder hybrids who lead the house, but her rambunctious attitude and surprising amount of knowledge let her be a part of the council of the light house. Recently, the head of the house had become concerned with their choice of nesting grounds in the grove. Even though humans usually didn't come into the regions where most of the tinixs and tigons nested, the ticorns were very vulnerable. As Arwing thought of these things from her perch, she heard a horrid sound across the grove. Others in the trees heard it well as the general chatter silenced. It was the loud screeching of a Ticorn. That sound could be nothing else as it was a cross between the scream of a horse and a cat. No one seemed to fly or move, they just listened. Arwing felt her heart thump within her chest, she knew it had to be the trappers...*


Earth House Senario
*The sun had just started to creep over the dew kissed hills as the soft thunder of Ticorn hooves could be heard through the forest. They had started their move back from Lake Eden to their normal home in the Aeturnus Forest. The air was muggy and warm, even before the sun cressed over the gentle curve of the horizon. Other hybrids of the house chose to fly above the herd, gliding in light circles, looking out for any threats, while younger hybrids found perches on the backs of some of the Ticorns. The ancient earth beneith their hooves and paws softened their steps, yet their vast numbers made it hard for them to move in complete silence. Instead the soft thumping of their hooves sent a quiet vibration across the waking earth, alerting all who were interested in hunting these animals that they were on the move. Ahead of the herd was the Leader of the house. He was fairly young, but this did not mean he was any the less wise or strong as the head of other houses. The heard had their order, the more powerful more experinced hybrids followed close behind the leader or filled in around the other hybrids. The weakest and youngest were kept towards the center of the herd, to keep them safe from the arrows and traps of the hunters in these woods as well as the hungry wild animals. The shadows of the trees grew long, as the sun moved in its set path across the sky, making it easy for things to move with them, nearly unnoticed. A sent crossed the nostrils of some of the hybrids. Those in the air flew higher to get a better view and to be out of harms way while the pack moved closer togeather. A breif flash through the trees sent a signal to the hyrbids near the outside of the pack to be on gaurd. Many ticorns lowered their massive heads, eyes scanning the area, carefully, cautiously, mothers moved towards their young kittens. The herd suddenly stopped, a horrible sound, the cross of an alamred winny and a cat hiss alerted the herd. They tried to stamped away, to find that men and their trained hunting hybrids had surrounded them.*


Capricorn Clan Senario

*the emerald waves lapped upon the shores around a small island a few miles away from Vindico. The beaches of the small untouched by human feet or human hands, leaving it to the wild and tropical animals that lived there. This small island was the main resting island for the small Capricorn Clan. Many strange birds, lizards and small rodents lived on the unoccupied Libertias islands with the Zondou, most were not a threat. However, very large lizards, sharks and other ocean preditors were a danger to them, as well as the violent tropical storms. The waves which lapped upon the shores today were calm, the skys clear and the air warm in the morning hours. The elder Zondou sat togeather on the beach, watching the young members of the clan trying to learn how to catch fish. Young zondou were often instructed to make sure not to kill a fish in the water, as the blood would attract sharks, that is why the elders stood by with a watchful eye as not all young zondou listened all that well. Some of the yearlings mearly splashed around, more interested in playing then hunting fish, while the older kittens showed off the fish they caught and held contests amongst themselves to catch the largest fish. This time of year was always dangrous to anything which swam in the deep waters, but very few of the kittens felt any fear of the water with the elders around. A single shark attack could change their carefree manner in a blink of an eye, however.*


Elsin Clan Senario

*The winters had been unusually cold this year, too cold for even the Foxen who thrived when very little else could. The fair sized clan had retreated back into their caves and burrows in the snow, hardly living day to day off of what the male elders could catch. Often times, all that would be brought back to be shared throughout the entire clan was a pair of rabbits, sometimes not even that. All were hungry and tired of the bitter cold. The humans in Alluva were suffering also, making even stealing from a store or garbage pile difficult. Some of the younger Foxen had ventured out to try and hunt on their own for their families, only to return empty pawed with frost bitten ears. The clan had often thought about making the dangerous trec across the merciless frozen tundra to Frosty Hallow, a small trading post were it was always a little warmer then Elsin Tundra. The elders met around a small fire that burned dully, casting grey light throughout the den. They knew they had to move their clan or risk much of them starving and dying off due to the lack of food and the vicious cold. They all nodded togeather, and every foxen that watched on knew what that ment, that as soon as they could, they would be moving across the tundra to Frosty Hallow.
