This is a journal for Quietsnooze to use as she coaxes her Fenthry out of its feather and has lots of fun adventures with it.

Please don't post here unless Quietsnooze has given you permission!

Emiko
The fluffy feather is suddenly lifted into the air by a non-existent wind, pulled toward the ceiling as though by a magnet. The feather's tip barely brushes the ceiling before floating easily back toward the floor. A few inches above the ground, a bright light flashes through the room, and a four-inch-tall child falls lightly onto the floor. Her sky blue feathers curl gracefully, and her fluffy gray and white fur is comfortably warm.

As Emiko is still a feather, I will fill out as much information as possible for her at the moment. When she's older, I'll let her write out her own.

Basics
Name: Emiko
Sobriquet: N/A
Place of seance: The Fenthry HQ
Birhtday: July 16th/04
Marital Status: Single XD
Distinguishing Marks: Long furred, greyish blue fur with offwhite stripe down back [sort of skunkish] pointed upright ears, dark hair, blue wings
Abilities/Special Skills: N/A
Personality: Emiko is shy and very quiet, though is mostly this because she has not found her voice [so far she's been deemed mute.] However, she has become bold in her actions, making up for the lack of speech patterns. From writing out her thoughts on her dry erase board, she has gotten quite good at writing.

This journal will be used by Emiko and myself. The people who are allowed to post are: Fenthry owners, Louhi, Liz-liz. Please ask permission if you're going to post anything. If not, I'll just get a mod to delete it [unless its a present, of course.] Thanks!

If you were wondering, I purchased Emiko at an auction for 45k and 4 hamster hats, totalling 56k. She's worth every piece of gold. Her name, Emiko, is girl's name used in Japanese. It is associated with characters meaning ''Blessed, beautiful child.''

This is Emiko as a precious feather. Such beautiful colours.. I wonder how she'll look once she's older! Most likely just as beautiful.

Emiko will replace this with her own family encounters. For now, there is only the family watching over her, instead of her watching us, observing and gathering opinions.

Maid In Korea
Early on Wednesday morning - at around 8.30am – there was a ring of the doorbell and a knock at the door. The postman tapped the doorknocker once or twice more before he gave up… It was early and he was lazy, what more can I say.
He then gently placed the blue wrapped packet on the doorstep. Letting out a deep sigh he placed a sealed envelope under the door crack, made his way out of the gate and hopped back on his bike. He then (far less than energetically) peddled off into the sunset. I mean ‘sunrise’.

The envelope read as followed “For little Emiko and Phoo
Inside it read (in a barely readable hand writing..)

Now that little Emiko is all grown up… I thought she deserved a gift from her somewhat despondent and lazy god (less) mother.
I seen it in a shop window and it just screamed cute furry plush for a cute furry Fenthry that kind of resembles a plush!
So here it is, I hope Emiko gets some enjoyment out of him! Er… or her.
Love Aunty Kor. Actually scratch the aunty part.. heh heh.

Enclosed in the small package was the following…

Title: Welcome Home, Baby Girl

Friday July 16th
Emiko arrived today. She's the most gorgeous little girl.. Nevermind that at the moment, she's a feather. Her colours intrigue me. The shopkeeper told me she's to become a longhaired female. I've seen only the male of these, and they look quite stunning, so I hope the same for my girl. I would love her no matter what, however.

Things are.. quite crowded. I let myself get carried away with ownership, it seems. The thought of, "One more won't make that much of a difference" is quite farfetched from my now-point of view. However, I will bask upon Emiko as much love as I can certainly bring to her.

I can hear footsteps- someone's awake. Tsk, it's far too late for any of them to be up.. I should go check on the baby, anyway.

Forevermore,
~Phoenix

Title: Exceptional

Saturday July 17th
Today was exceptionally beautiful, yet very hot. I had to keep the children in the basement, as the air conditioning conked out on us and the basement is naturally cool. I brought Emiko down in her basket, as well. She seemed a bit wilted from the time she was exposed to the heat.. I hope it hasn't effected her in any way that's damaging!

Zaeth asked me about her today. He's exceptionally curious at this age. He first asked what she was going to become. I answered, of course, as best I could. He then asked if he came from a feather. He's a fallen angel, and has wings full of feathers, but I had to inform him that Emiko is not the same kind of feather that he is. He seemed satisfied with this answer.

I've fixed up the log a bit, I hope it's suiting. I should hang around the main thread a bit more -- I heard Av's feather has grown into a beautiful longhaired female, and I'm anxious to know what Emiko is soon to look like.

Forevermore,
~Phoenix

Title: Peaceful

Monday July 19th
Lately, things have become.. rather peaceful.

I suppose the blame could be that I've got most of the kids in camps.. which in turn gives me more time to myself, of course. That's the whole point -- give the parent a break, and the bonus is the child enjoying themself! n_~

Emiko's been at my side very close to all of the past days. I'm sure she won't want to be so suffocated once she's grown, but the young times are always perfect for cuddling and deep care. It's then that they learn the most! Even once they're just a bit older, they still like to stay by their parent's side.

Korea's agreed to be the non-religious godmother! Might be seeing her post around a bit here. As well, I'm sure she'll bring Emiko around the HQ sometimes too! biggrin Can't wait.

Forevermore,
~Phoenix

Title: Growth

Wednesday July 21th
Emiko grew up today.

The first thing I noticed was her gorgeous tail. It sort of reminds me of a skunk, but in no way does she "smell." She's simply beautiful. Her wings, her fur, her hair, her markings.. everything is just fabulously perfect!

Korea's present dropped by today, just in time for Emiko's growing. She [Emiko] hasn't said a word yet. I'm terribly afraid that she's mute.. But I'll continue to work with her and teach her. I won't give up on her, of course.

I think she might be crying.. or that's one of the others. I'd better check it out, either way.

Forevermore,
~Phoenix
With very slow, concentrated footsteps, Emiko makes her way to inside. Phoenix promised to be back for her after running a few errands, and said she could visit here and get out of the house more often. Dragging a blue bear almost the size of her, she sits down against a wall to play silently.

Emiko lifts the limp arms of the moose toy, letting them drop. She blinks a few times, repeating this action before giving her precious toy a hug. With a sideglance, she thoroughly examines the contents of the room.

Raidon watches Sakura and Maine fight but sees Emiko come in. He has never meant this fenthry before and was curious why it's fur was so long. he flew away from the fight and fluttered down in front of Emiko. He studied her then blushed.
"Hi I'm Raidon." He put his arm to his stomach and bowed to her smiling. Then he pointed to her fur.
"You have special fur." He said giggling then rubbed the back of his head shyly. He had never meant a rare fen before and was very intrested. Rai glanced back to the fight and the turned back to Emiko.

Emiko wriggles her fingers in a slow, careful wave hello. She hesitates when she's asked questions, and reaches inside her tiny backpack, lifting out a dry-erase board. Clenching the marker awkwardly, she scribbles almost illegiably, "Hi I Emiko."

Raidon uses what Sindarin taught him about reading. He slowly pronounced it and grinned.
"Hi Emiko." He said looking at her moose stuffed animal. He wrinkled his nose trying to think what it was.
"That stuffed animal?" He saw them but Sinder never bought him one before. Rai sat down beside her and poked it. When it squished in softly he giggled. Then he thought maybe she didn't want him to touch her stuff so he stood up quickly and fiddled with his tail.

She smiles very faintly, rubbing out the writing with her fist and scribbling faster. "Mine," the dry erase board says. Emiko tugs on her ear, almost nervously, when he comes a bit closer. She hadn't been used to talking to others.. well, they did the talking, as she has yet to find her voice.

Rai carefully reads it then steps backward and blushes.
"I'm sorry!" Nervously he looked around embarassed.
"Of course it's yours. I just wanted to see it thats all." He said taking another step backwards. Raidon was rather shy still and didn't know how to react. He took a closed his eyes and gulped.
"I'll see you later, Emiko. I'm going to play with Rioko. If you want you can play too." He rubbed his arm bashfully and waved a quick good bye scurrying over to Rioko.

A flash of sadness crosses her face, but she turns her attention back down to the board. Stuffing it into her tiny backpack, putting the cap onto the marker, she lifts up her moose with terrible trouble, moving to a different spot on the floor.

Standing beside Rioko he glances back at Emiko. He sees the frown and feels bad he scurried away so fast. He sighed and decided he shouldn't have done that but he was nervous. He didn't want her to think he was mean so he approached her again smiling but stayin his distance so she wouldn't get nervous.
"I'm sorry I did that." He looked at the ground he thought maybe she wanted more friends.
"If you want I can introduce you to my friend, Rioko. He's really nice. You can be our friends." Then he thought he might be asking to many questions so he shook his head.
"That is if you want." His voice was soft and almost a wisper.

She nods after almost no thought. Hugging the moose around the neck, she raises to her feet almost purely silent. She forgot her backpack and marker where she sat, but hadn't noticed.

Raidon smiles and holds out his hand for her. He was happy she wasn't afraid of him any more. He pointed to Rioko.
"That's Rioko. He's one of my closest friend." He walked over to Rioko.
"Rio this is Emiko. She's special because she has long fur and is a bunny." Raidon said introducing her to Rioko. He hoped Emiko wasn't afraid because Rioko was 7 inches tall. He noticed Sakura and cringed alittle.

Emiko bows in welcome, only slightly discouraged by the height. It's then when she notices her mum's come to get her.
She waves a small goodbye, lifting up her large moose and.. completely forgetting about her backpack as she leaves out the door after her Mum.

Title: Lost

Saturday July 24th
Emiko informed me that she can't find her backpack anywhere. It's important that we find it, seeing as her writing board and marker are inside. I can't continue to teach her words and for her to communicate to me without it! I'm hoping it back at the HQ, because I don't remember seeing her with it after she left.

Besides that, she's been awfully clingy toward her bear. I'm wondering if she's aware of the sentimental value, or if something happened to make her more loving toward it. Never the less, I have to stop delaying here and go find that board, or else I won't be able to understand her.. I've searched the house high and low, so perhaps I'll take her to the HQ and let her retrace her steps.

Forevermore,
~Phoenix

Title: Absence

Monday August 9th
Much has occured since I had the time to write here.

Emiko has been taking classes that will help her better understand what people are saying to her.. and how to communicate back. It's a joint class due to low fundings to this area, unfortunately. She is focused more on the communication rather than the understanding, as it is killing her to not be able to voice her opinion back.

She has been curious of her new younger brother, Dare, but has always stayed a fair distance away. Is there something repelling her from him, but also drawing her in..?
