Personality: Dare is a tough one to figure out completely. He's honest, strong willed, and dedicated to the things he feels are of importance. Although he is usually serious, he can also be very considerate as well as a good listener. He can't always give you the right answers to things, but that doesn't stop him from being just a bit stubborn with his opinions.

Race: Time Ranger; 90% human, 10% god.
Residence: Own apartment
Height: 5'6" and growing rapidly
Eyes: Pretty sure they're green..
Hair: Crimson red, a little on the long side. Just how I like it!
Features: My favourite brown jacket, patched up a bit from the wear and tear.. pants aren't so fortunate. Loose tie, gloves with a fringe, and the whole rugged look down pact! The orange fabric's nearly gone, but I've managed to save a little for memory's sake.--

Occupation: Time Ranger, currently being retrained in secret.
Powers: So far, the ability to open up Soul Files.
Talents: My guitar playing is above average, so I'm told. I've never had any lessons so uh, I'm just naturally this talented. I'm okay at carving, too, I did make Chandra that gift..
Criminal Record: Charged and tried, but released on parole, on charges of Time Tampering Resulting in High Disturbance, as well as Treason Against the High Council, Premature Exposure, Non-subjectual Exposure, and Deliberate Negligence Resulting in Non-subjectual Enlightenment.

The legend that Dare is based after is that of the Time Rangers.

Very long ago, years and ages and lifetimes from our time, a group was established. They were those who were Chosen, hand picked, to lead people of regular stature to live a better life on Earth. They were the Original Eight; as normal as they may appear, they held the memories on file of nearly everyone on Earth.

As the years passed them by, they slowly feared the old age stealing from them this magnificent power. As the realization of death closed in on them, they found themselves in an urgency to keep this power longstanding.. Their missions were not nearly complete.

Up until this time, the eight had only been aware of the extensive memory capability they had. Unaware that they held with them unlimited lifetimes, the group took shelter and cast themselves up in flames. To them, the power they held was not only a blessing, but a curse. The torturing memories of how other people suffered and died were too much.

Losing themselves, all eight perished. However, by some chance, their Creator brought each forward at once to Him, informing them that He had not made a mistake in choosing them to complete this long journey for Him. However, by performing upon themselves the evil that was to be destroyed from the world, He punished each in an appropriate manner.

The Eight became known as the High Council of the Time Rangers. They were "immortal" in terms that life could not be stolen from them -- if so, they would be reborn as they were. They were capable to teleport, as the Earth had become a more populous place and travellers spread themselves upon the land. On top of this, the extensive files of memories of lives past became too huge of a burden.

The boldest member, named Pandora, approached the Creator for advice. Firstly, if they were to convince people that changing their lives for the better was to do such and such a thing, how would they make themselves believable to so many people? Surely they couldn't befriend and gain trust of everyone.. And to give away their positions would be a monstrocity. Secondly, why only eight to fulfill His plan? Could there not be others to bear this journey and powerful chore?

To complete their first wish, the High Council received the ability to create allusions. They could "play" the visions and memories of the human subject from their mind onto the nearest flat surface for the human subject to watch and be convinced. As for their second, He barganed to allow understudies, lowly Time Rangers who held the memories of those in their specified regions.

With this, the High Council became extremely powerful, yet lazy. They did no more of the work for themselves. Assigning rangers to specific regions of Earth, the rangers were allowed a certain amount of power and energy. Although this was a very worthy occupation, one might say the stress of some "clients" [as the human subjects in need came to be called] was sometimes too much.

As in more recent days, the Time Ranger population is very spread out, and is still a fairly low number. Each is given 1000 lifetimes. Throughout them, they are to track clients with exceptional memory records and aid them. They must remain subtle, and should not reveal themselves too early in the process. They also must not experience emotions, as they cloud their better judgement. Rangers are required only in a time of deep need -- the client's lifetime might be in doom, and the Time Ranger is the one to convince them of the correct path to take. Using the powers bestowed upon them, they are to help the client change or decide correctly..

Such a lifetime as the above is dubbed the "Deciding Lifetime." As history has proved, those who do not study it are doomed to repeat it. The same is true with lifetimes. A soul fades in and out of lifetimes, though unlike the Time Rangers they are not capable of keeping their memories from past lifetimes. Also, Time Rangers always remain their original gender; regular human souls ulternate genders every other lifetime, unless they have a specific genetic pattern in their souls that prevents this. However, they are the same soul. Mistakes made and not usually not learned from in one lifetime are passed to the next. In prevention from the continuous cycle of destroyed lifetimes, ones that ultimately do not lead to happiness, there are the Time Rangers.

Mum's kept this album of me since I was little. She doesn't trust me completely with it; I wouldn't blame her though, this stuff's ancient! Keepsakes are always great, for memory's sake. I respect her for trying to keep pieces of my current past alive the best she can.

Dare is a completely unique character. All characteristics, ideas, concepts, etc. dealing with Time Rangers are my own creation. Please don't go and rip them off, I won't be pleased. [But my domo army will get a nice meal twisted ]
