Welcome to Gaia! ::

After a recent burst of creative thought, I've come to the conclusion that Pokemon and Inuyasha are one and the same. Now, bear with me here. Oddly arrogant and whiny boy searches for something so he can grow powerful. Yes, I've just described a subgenre of shonen, but look at how it applies to the two series in the title.

Ash/Inuyasha: Whiny and arrogant, always teasing the female, and the main love interest for the female.

Misty/Kagome: The token love interest. 'Nuff said.

Brock/Miroku: They both have hormones dripping out of their ears and beg after the first female they see.

Team Rocket/Random Evil Doer of the day: They're both defeated in the end based off some idealogical moral.

(Courtesy of Muffin Lover)" the rivals: the kid who's the grandson of the professor guy (what's his name again?)/inuyasha's brother...the sesso-something guy: Less hot-headed and more skilled than the main character. "

Inuyasha is just Pokemon with mature (Read: Teenage) themes, they both have a GottaCatchEmAll complex and they both have an enormous temporary fanbase.
o.O What kind of dumb question is that? Inu Yasha is not like Pokemon at all. I dont see stupid animals walking around that say their names and do retarded attacks....
You do have a point I never thought of it that way .Brock and Miroku are alike .But Miroku is worser than Brock 3nodding

But the characters are representationally the same, and they both have to hunt after an object, either animals or shards. Just because it's not on the surface doesn't mean that it doesn't exist.
Pokemon!!!

Hence the fact that it's the teenage version of Pokemon. What do hormonal boys do? Look at the release dates as well. Inuyasha was released right when the former Pokemon fans hit puberty. Coincidence?
temporary? ok, i'm sorry and i admit you do have a point with the miroku/brock and the point of ash/inu both being arrogant, but i mean c'mon!!!!!!!! inuyasha isn't always arrogant, in fact the arrogance if you truly pay attention in the show is all a mask to hide the real him after being scorned as a child while ash is just a c**k for brains idiot. and i am sorry but if you later try to relate shippou with a pokemon then you wont like the results, cause shippou is actually intelligent and can say more than just "pika?" ok, but i repeat you do have a good point about the brock/miroku thing, i give you that.
BlackHat
Pokemon!!!

You have a remarkable ability to not pay attention to the obvious. Did you even read anything beyond the title? This isn't a fighting thread, this is a comparison between the two.
lol

Good job.

Hmz.. I guess u got a point to that. But I bet there are more animeseries that is similar with these too too. Not that I can think of one at the moment sweatdrop . Hmz.. If the "search of shards" was not there.. Than it would be different right?

It's the same style of plot rewritten for a teenage audience rather than an eight year old one. Teenagers scorn pokemon so they use a jewel. I'm comparing the need to have all pokemon and the need to have all the jewel shards. Inuyasha is full of angst to have him associate with teenage melodrama.

Good job.

Thanks, you don't have anything that I missed though?
You have a point, InuYasha and Pokemon are the same in some ways. But, I will always prefer InuYasha rather than Pokemon.
