Flat sale rules:
  • Flat sales cost 3K (although we reserve the right to change this at a later date).
  • Flat sales are first come first serve. That means if someone posts they want an Iditarod before another, the first person gets it.
  • There will be no poor sportsmanship about not winning. This could lead to being shunned or banned.
Flat sales: None

Auction rules:
  • Auctions will generally last 24 hours.
  • Anti-Sniping - They 'generally' last for 24 hours because there is a 10 minute time period after the last bid in order to prevent sniping. If no one bids (after the 24 hour period) on an Iditarod for 10 minutes after the last person, then that person wins.
  • Auctions will be held in another thread, we will announce them and post their link in this thread.
Auctions: None

Raffle rules:
  • Do NOT create multiple accounts in order to get more tickets for the raffles. There are ways of finding out who are the ones doing these things... ninja
  • Absolutly no editing of your posts. If you want to change something, simply post again.
Raffles: None

  • How can I get an Iditarod?
-This is obviously the most asked question. The easiest way to get one would be to buy one in a flat sale, win an auction, or win a raffle. There may be, and probably will be, other events planned to give them out but these three are the only 'sure' way of getting one.

  • What is the Iditarod?
-Well, the actuall Iditarod is a loooong, dog sled race up in Alaska. More info to come.

  • How much are flatsales/auctions/raffles, etc?
-You can find this out in the flatsales/auctions/raffles post. 3nodding

  • Are the Iditarods RP manditory?
-No, they are not. We think that takes out a lot of the fun of a breedable pet if they HAVE to be RPed. Instead, we'll simply say that if you RP them your Iditarod may grow faster, although it could lead to *coff* other things not yet mentioned.

  • How many Iditarods can one person own?
-Right now there is no set limit, although if we see some players with more than enough of them and 'newbies' without any we may make a limit.

  • Is co-owning allowed?
-Yes....although you have to talk with your co-owner to make sure that when RPing you don't RP two completely different Iditarod personalities.

  • Why do you keep saying 'we'?
-Iditarod, this account, is owned and operated by both Choucho and Lauryn.

  • Can I PLEASE have a free one?
-Not unless we decide to give someone an Iditarod as a gift; and that is VERY rare.

  • Can the Iditarods be resold?
-Absolutly not. If you do not want your Iditarod anymore, let us (Choucho or Lauryn) know and it will probably be given to a new owner. You can buy an Iditarod for another person, but you may not SELL one.

  • Will there be any items for the Iditarods?
-Perhaps...if there is a great enough interest in them to begin with.

WOLVES - Generally the more 'furry' of the three kinds. These are more hunters than anything else. Wolves tend to take things more seriously than mixes or dogs, and keep their packs very structured and rank-oriented. They know how to have as much fun as the next animal, but usually work comes first for them.

DOGS - Domesticated animals that love to play around. The more 'short-haired' of the three. The playful species of the bunch. Dogs love to roam around, explore and play almost all of the time. Generally light of heart and pleasant to be around.

MIXES - Obviously a mixture of a dog and a wolf. Hair is between that of a wolf and dog....obviously. smile Mixes tend to be overachievers and wish to please everyone (usually because they are under constant scrutiny from wolves and dogs alike). Their life is harder than the other two, because they don't fall directly into either species.

User Image

SLED - A sled with a blanket/package that is colored how the pup inside will look. The woodworking of the sled may tell what species and gender the pup inside is. This stage needs to be kept warm and watched at all times possible.

PUP/ADOLESCENT - This is the time of the Iditarod's life that requires the most attention and care from it's owner/bonded. This is the time of their life where they get to first explore and experiance the world, and get themselves into a lot of trouble. As the Iditarod grows out of puphood and more into an adolescent, they start becoming more of an individual and starts gaining their own personality. Iditarods start becoming more aware of the other gender and start thinking about packs/teams.

ADULT - If left alone, this stage can be completely independant. Breeding is now an option for established couples. Iditarods can now be a fully fledged member of a pack/team.

Packs = Wolves
Teams = Dogs

PACKS
Packs are comprised of an unspecified number of wolves. The leaders of the pack are the Alpha Male and Alpha Female. One Alpha may be dominant over the other, but it isn't always so. The 'second in command' is the Beta. After the Beta comes the Gamma. Next is the mid-ranks which are just regular members. Then follows the wolf pups and juveniles which is followed lastly by the Omega.

The Alphas are the leaders of the pack and are the ones that ensure the genral safety and well-being of the other members. They are the ones who show the most dominant behaviors, and the ones all the other pack members are submissive to.

The Beta, only one, is the 'second in command'. They are in charge of leading hunting parties and security of the pack. The betas are often the 'peacemakers' if a fight happens inside of the pack. Will generally become the next Alpha should the other of the same gender die. (This is, however, not always the case.)

The Gamma is the 'baby-sitter' of the pack. The Gamma's duties are seeing to the pups and juveniles, making sure they are in good health and watching over them. This also includes teaching them vital pack behaviors.

The Mid-Ranks are just normal pack members that don't fall into any of the other roles. Their main job is to hunt for the pack.

Pups and juveniles are young wolves that rely on the other rankings to help them survive.

Omega is the cast-out of the pack, the very lowest rank. They are always the last to eat anything that was caught in a hunting party and are treated as the lowest member. If a Mixed wished to join a wolf pack, they would normally become the Omega.

PACK LISTINGS:
Pack of the Rising Moon
Alpha Male - None
Alpha Female - Tsuna
Beta - None
Gamma - None
MidRanks - None
Pups/Juveniles - None
Omega - None

TEAMS
There are 8 members to a team. The positions are thus:

1-----2

3-----4

5-----6

7-----8
(sled)

The strongest and most agile dogs are the ones that have the top number positions, such as 1 and 2. Positions in the teams will be decided through events designed by me once 8 members have been gathered. Again, you need 8 members of a team before positions can be assigned. Winners will be announced once the event is over and the order that was won will be the order of the team members.

  • First off, RP is NOT manditory. However, it is highly recommended because it could speed up the growing process of your Iditarod and could lead to ...other things. *coff*
  • There is to be absolutly NO God-RPing (I think you know what that is by now).
  • All RP is to remain PG-13 and if for some unknown reason you wanna take it past that........then take it to PMs please.
  • No fighting in the thread (unless it's a planned part of RPing).

We hope to someday have a guild to RP in but until we get the gold you just RP in this thread if you wish. ^_^

Breeding Rules:
  • You must own at least one of the Iditarods that wish to breed.
  • If you own only one of the two Iditarods that are going to breed, I must be aware of the other owner's permission either through a post or a PM.

Breeding Fee
  • The breeding fee is 2K (that's 1000g from each owner).
  • Payment must be made in gold, unless we say otherwise.
  • Breeding Fee must be put into a trade before the breeding begins.
  • In order to breed, a relationship between the two Iditarods must have been established through RP. (This is the only manditory rp required.)
  • Sleds may vary, but there will almost always be a minimum of two sleds from one breeding so that both owners may have an offspring. However, if the breeding couple is owned by one person, the minimum is one.

Breeding Slots
  • There are none open at this time.

Couples List:
There are no couples yet.

Urari is one of a kind! ^^ He's so sweet and caring, but in one instant he's the meanest animal you've ever encountered. On top of that, he doesn't remember his episodes, his mind blacks them out when the feeling of hatred is too intense.
