So--the concept: misguided ickle cosplaying people. o__0;;
Usually I have a full concept, but this one's pretty lame. sweatdrop
So, so far I've got this:
So, you know those lil fuzzy slippers with, like...the character heads on them? Like bunny slippers? The first stage would be that, themed as whatever you want it to be--like in my example, it's a Nieken cosplayer, so his first stage would be a Nieken slipper, like the ones he's wearing.
Anyway, so you have these slippers, and your future cosplayer goes, like, "OMG!" and fliiings 'em on (as well as a whole rest of the costume). He's hooked from then on, as a crazy stalker fanboy thing. Hence, the second stage (as pictured).
The third stage would be a rare, ubersexx cosplayer. Rawr. Never thought you'd hear those two words together, eh?
Cliffs Notes: slipper>shoddy cardboard outfit>full-blown cosplayer young'n>tehsex0rs X-rated cosplayer (I kid, I kid...)
The cosplay themes could be like breedables like in my sample (with shopowner permission), people (like people really DO cosplay as, like...Cloud n' suuuch), Gaia peoples (...), food (muffins!), trees...and so on.
Lineart would be pretty much unique, I'll keep the underlying bodystructure, but keeping anything else'd be impossible, what with the customness.
Faces and hair would be fully customizable.
No RP required, of course.
So what I'm looking for is...ideas to branch out with, since the idea's kind of weak, all by its lonesome...

Hm, back-story ideas...
Maybe there's this small group of super-magical-great cosplayers, who - knowing the allure of cute fuzzy slippers - seeks converts to their cause by bewitching cute fuzzy slippers and selling them in a particular shop *coughherecough* Stage 1 = Slippers.
Then, some hapless individual buys them, puts them on, and is affected by the cosplayer-planted influence, which causes the super-magical-cosplayers to speak to them through their dreams. 'Join us... Become an uber-cool cosplayer... Join usssss~ ..." Upon waking, the slipper-wearer has been brainwashed by the dream, resulting in an individual with a burning desire for cosplay! ... However, their skill's still a little lacking... sweatdrop Stage 2 = Lame Costume.
Over time, though, their skill as a cosplayer grows; as they learn to sew, sequin, and plan/organize skits, their costuming-ability improves, and they take a step closer to the idols of their subconcious, with the goal of being the best dang cosplayer of whatever was on the slippers, which "inspired" them to tread the Cosplayer Path. Stage 3 = Decent Costume.
And finally, at long-last, the cosplayer has trained, practiced, rehearsed, and sewn until their fingers bled; in a triumphant dream, the super-magical-cosplayers elevate the aspiring cosplayer to their mystic rank, and upon awakening the cosplayer is transformed! Super-Magical-Cosplayer Time! Stage 4 = Uber-secksay-cosplayer! With camera-waving stalkers! xd
Of course, I AM sleep-deprived right now, so if it's ridiculous... Don't hold it against me. sweatdrop

I was thinking that perhaps the "owner" could be the bad influence on the young, oh-so-gullible, to-be cosplayers. Still...mentally however. Be the lil nagging voice in their head ("____is your god! Say it! SAY IT!" wink or the gentle persuasion ("Oh, so you like him, eh? Well, in a lot of ways, he's like _____...except for one glaring flaw..." wink . And they'll never know it's you, so...when they come to confide in you about the lil voices...more manipulation can take place. XD;;
And the way you do so could influence their appearance n' personality and such! biggrin
Slowly drive them to cosplay-insanity, plus without popping in at least a few times to coerce, it would take a while for the young one to be mentally swayed into obsession (ahahah, I'll have a living thread yet...one day...).
Except for the fact that I doubt anyone wants to go through that.
And the way you do so could influence their appearance n' personality and such! biggrin
Slowly drive them to cosplay-insanity, plus without popping in at least a few times to coerce, it would take a while for the young one to be mentally swayed into obsession (ahahah, I'll have a living thread yet...one day...).
