What This Is.

This is my Bar. Don't get confused with all the other bars out there. This place does not serve drinks, Does not have couches, And is not a place to hangout and make out.
This is a place for meeting people. Where those gaian's out there that complain they don't get enough attention come and hang out. Where everyone, and almost anyone is accepted.
So let loose, have fun, and enjoy.

Rules

No Serious Fighting. This includes, Yelling, Arguing, Swearing at one another, And disagreeing with me. If it Get's out of hand. You will be yelled at, and Dumbshit listed. I don't mind a bit of argueing though.
No Chat speak. If I see you type, and I can't bear it. I will delete your post. At least put some effort into typing.
ALL Standard gaian rules apply. If I see anything broken, I will notify a mod, Then delete your post as I see fit.
No Begging. This has a 0% Tolerance. If you beg, You are Shitlisted, And gone.

1. Where did you hear about Gaia?

Long long time ago, back in about April o' last year, someone from an MSN Group I was a member of pointed me in the direction of www.go-gaia.com. At the time, I thought it looked lame, so I didn't join until about a month later, and when I did, I got kinda hooked. sweatdrop
2. Haha. That sounds fammiliar. When you first started, what did you think? Where did you hang out? What was your over all rating of gaia?

Well, I was a total idiot. I started off in the Chatterbox from day one, and after about a week I wasn't going so well. I ended up in a flame war with the most notorious Chatterboxer at the time, Drigo. He kicked my butt. D: Anyway, after a while I figured flaming people wasn't my thing, so I just really drifted around the Chatterbox, making funny comments on pretty much every thread. I was pretty much the most popular Chatterboxer between July and September, then I was chosen as a mod, and then everyone hated me. :3
3. Noone hates you. Much.
When you started. What was your favourite feature? Emoticon? Item? User?

When I started, there wasn't much in the way of features, really just the forums. Although, I joined the day they added the trading, which was nice I guess, 'cept I had no one to trade with. My favourite emoticon will always be domokun , and my favourite item was teh emo glasses. :3
4. What would you rate the old Gaia, Compared to the new Gaia, Layout wise? Lag wise? Feature Wise?

I preferred the very first layout Gaia had, it was so cheesy and crap, it was wonderful. That's probably before a lot of people's time, though. D:
Lag wise, Gaia was awful back then, and it's brilliant now. I'm actually impressed at the improvement.
All these new features are nice, but really for me, Gaia's always been about the forums, and the other users. The other users have been awesome mostly, and the forums are the same as ever. :3
5. Even the Chatterbox? eek

You can knock it all you want, but for the most part, the Chatterbox is ******** brilliant. Yes, there are a lot of idiots, and a lot of lame threads, but what really counts is the good people, and the interesting threads, which are also in abundance.
6. I know. I make it worthwhile. wink Any threads you have seen go down hill?

The Secks show is pretty much dead now, which sucks hard. Other than that... Not really.
7. Any forums? As in the whole forum, Not just a section of it?

Obviously, the Chatterbox has gone downhill a lot. But it's still good. :3 I've never really posted anywhere else.
8. What was your first reaction to being chosen for Modship?
How did you handle your first week or so. Were you on more? Less?
Was it straining?

I was at first like "Wow, this can't be real." The first thing I PMed back to Lanzer was like "I think you PMed the wrong person about being a mod" For real.
Yeah, it was straining at first, and I was on less because of it. All these people started throwing questions and problems at me, there was no learning curve, and I was probably on less because of that. Once I got the hang of it though, it was business as usual. :3
9. What's your favourite part of modship? Your least Favourite Part?

Least favourite part is when people report hacking cases to me, 'cause really all I can do about that is forward it to a greenie, which annoys me. Favourite is probably just cleaning out the Chatterbox, it's what I originally became a mod to do, and it make me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
10. Lastly. Some user submitted questions. Not alot of people wanted to ask you things.

1. I tried once, which resulted in an embarrasing trip to the hospital.
2. When I first became a mod, someone who I thought was a friend of mine starting insulting me, so I edited his post to say something bad about him. I think that's it... The power's never really affected me.

1. Where did you first hear about gaia?

User Dokuza used to post about it in his LiveJournal. One day I figured I would check it out. So I signed up.
2. What was your first impression of Gaia. Overall? It's Users? Mods/Admin? Layout? Lag?

I hated it. I thought it was lame. Originally it appeared like it was just a link list. Gaia was the forum I ever really used. Once I started playing though, I was hooked. As for the mods and admins, I never had to deal with them till december. I didn't have a problem with them though, my issues with mods came later. The users were fine though. When I started, I was a spammer like most chatterboxers. Obnoxious and gold hungry.
3. Way back when, What were your favourite Items? Features? People?

Well that was back around Halloween of 03. I joined October 27th. There wasn't really much to Gaia. Just the forums. I was male too. I remember my favorite items were the orange ballin jacket and the nm headband. Those are the only two things I've ever quested for. I never really had favorite people. I hung out in the ChatterBox Bar, so whoever was there was there.
4. What brought you to start the ChatterBox Bar? Was it any different back then, then it is now?

I didn't start the ChatterBox Bar. I just took it over. The original owner was Macc the Stampede, who later changed his name to Jyro. He was banned for hacking though. I'm not sure why he asked me to take over. I never talked to him till the night he asked me to take over. He contacted me on AIM about him being banned and it was brought up. I talked to the mods about making a new thread stickied and it's been there ever since.
It has changed alot though. When Jyro was running it, he was never around. Never took care of anything. He just let it fall to s**t. I try to be better.
5. And you are. Otherwise, I wouldn't be Interviewing you. Now, What started you up to make 'A ChatterBox Stickie' ?

At one point Gaia just went down hill. Everyones avatar was a red X for like days, then other things started to happen. While everyone was a red X, there were a ton of threads where people were bitching and complaining and wanting answers. I made a thread about it and was bumping it when a couple people suggested I try to get it stickied. I mentioned it to Remme on AIM and he said he would temp sticky it till things blew over. Things didn't. There were more problems so I addressed them too. Remme told me that as long as I kept it updated, it would stay. So, I made a whole new thread and I've been expanding it as often as I need to. I've gotten alot of compliments on it from mods and prominent members. They even go as far as to say it's one of the top 5 stickies on Gaia. surprised
6. I have to agree with them. If you had the choice, Would you stay the way you are? Or Become a mod?

Ha! If you had asked me this question 2 months ago I would have said that I would go moderator for sure. These past 2 months I've encountered alot of problems with the majority of the current mods. I can't stand more than half of them. More than likely I would turn down the chance to be a mod.
7. I've heard about them not accepting pms and such. What have you seen them do? I still want to be a mod. Think I still should?

I'd rather not get into WHO did what. But I've had mods tell me they didn't want to deal things. Assuming maybe they were busy, I shrugged it off. Till it happened the next time too, and with friends. The breakdown is basically that the mods don't know the T.O.S. like they should.
8. So you don't think they're as capable as Lanzer beleives? Any thoughts on how he could find out before accepting them?

Some of them do their job really well and are fully capable. I think they should at least be given some questions to answer or something first. Basic stuff about the Rules and Guidelines/Terms of Service. Also, things like "How would you react, given X situation." Though I guess that would be too time consuming. So I guess the current way will have to suffice for now.
9. That would be a great Idea. smile Alright. Last question. What's your fav part of gaia? Like, What keeps you here? Makes you want to stay, help people, And manage the bar?

Um, honestly I would be lieing if I said it wasn't the items. I like meeting people, and I've made some really great friends. But without the avatars, and the items, Gaia would be alot more boring. I do like meeting people, but the items are what keeps Gaia different. So both the people and items. By now I've made alot of strong bonds with friends and some people I feel even closer too and I wouldn't want to lose them.
I help people because I can. I don't know. It just kind of happened. Same with the bar. I like doing them.
