I am a communist. Communism has been targeted severely in the world. The US issued the Truman doctrine, and the USSR is called 'an evil empire'. I believe in communism, and have studied it for several years now. I believe in the ideals, but to make it suitable for life, we must make reforms. I am not a cold blooded killer, like Stalin. I am a visionary, and revolutionary, like Lenin, or Trotsky. The Great Revolution in Russia might have taken some lives, but it was for a common cause, it was not a unplanned genocide. Nor was it a planned one. It was the beginning of a new era, which brought the Russians from strife to glory. ( I am a Russian born in Moscow, 1990. I have studied communism for 7 years and surprisingly, have given lectures in the University of Toronto at the age of 9.)

For absolutely no reason at all! A country that invades other countries and kills hundreds of millions of its own citizens isn't and Evil Empire at all!

Lenin's "Red Terror" was a violent uprising that killed hundreds of thousands of people merely for not being Communist. They executed rich people for imagined offenses and murdered the Tsar Nicholas and his family in cold blood.



How does a common cause make everything okay?



That makes absolutely no sense. It was neither planned or unplanned? How does that work?



If glory is tens of millions of people dying from starvation, malnutrition, and the murderous repression of the state.

But luckily Ronald Reagan was in charged and he combated the Evil Empire and came out on top.

Communism isn't the cause, I'd say social opression and dictatorship, neither of which are integral parts of communism, caused those deaths.



Lots of countries have killed their own people that aren't Communistic at all.



It doesn't need it if you do it properly. Try actually reading Marx and Engels, they advocate a world without government at all.

Overall, your post relies far too much on the fact that a couple of bad governments have tried it before. Sorry, that doesn't prove the system is bad.

I didn't say that Reagan single-handedly defeated the Soviets...but he was in charge and was a factor against the USSR.
