Hello, I am nineteen years old and I am asexual.

Or non-sexual, no sexual desire, whatever. You cannot contradict me on the name, simply because there is no documented description. I hope someday there will be, because like Homo and Heterosexuals, we exist too. However, I am aware that asexual means also that one can reproduce on ones own. Please, thats been said a thousand times, and we all know that you or I can't split in two... seriously, this is ED.

This discussion can have a variety of topics surrounding this sexuality, debates and such are also welcome. You can introduce your feelings about what the name should be, what you think about it, and if you are or you think you are this sexual type.

Just a reminder, asexuals may not have desire, but that doesn't mean we don't love things. There are some people who don't love anything at all, that is not always the case with 'non-sexuals.' We love art, science, math, sports, pets, friends... we just have no desire to engage in sex, for pleasure or for love at all. If we were to actually have sex or, it's like loving someone you don't even know, nor care about. Sex isn't something to care about, and some non-sexuals are disguisted by it.

Being non-sexual doesn't mean that we don't wish to reproduce, as well.

No, I'm just saying, is it hard finding a person who would be willing to have a relationship with no sexual gratification? I doubt masturbating would cut it for most people.

I don't belive anyone can have no sexual desire at all, its instinct, animalistic even. Some control it better than others and/or abstain from it compleatly, but its still there.
