A small gargoyle who would later assume the name Lexington was hatched into the Wyvern clan in the year 958, several days after his older siblings Brooklyn and Broadway. Like his siblings, he is 40 subjective years old as of 1998, 20 physically, and 1040 chronologically, having been frozen for a millennium with the rest of the clan's survivors by the Magus in 994 AD. He is one of the Trio, and his small size and excitable manner are counterpoint to Broadway's bulk and Brooklyn's cool demeanor. He is a greenish gold in color.

Though smaller than most gargoyles, Lexington has most of the standard abilities - a prehensile tail, the ability to glide on currents of wind, incredible strength, night vision, acute senses, immunity to most heat and cold, and the mixed blessing of regenerative stone sleep. Lex is weaker than most other gargoyles, and his wings are all but unique in being like a flying squirrel's instead of like the wings of the others. However, Lexington is incredibly agile on ground or air, and is extremely fast in the air, able to pull off amazing aerial acrobatics. He is also extremely intelligent, and very adept with technology.

Lexington is very technical-minded, and has a deep rapport with and understanding of machines and electronics. Even shortly after the clan re-awakened in New York, after the battle with the Commandoes, where Hudson thought the helicopter was a dragon, Lex recognized it as a machine. He extracted the disk from the Cyberbiotics tower computer when the Trio were led to attack that structure by David Xanatos, and he was already using a computer by the time Xanatos and Demona showed their true colors and attacked the clan.

One word. Curious. We at the Hall have gotten used to him bombarding us with questions, and explaining what everything does. His thirst for knowledge is insatiable, and he never takes anything at face value - things are always more than they appear. Well, I suppose open mindedness is almost a pre-requisite when you live in a world like Gaia biggrin

Lex loves making new friends, and wants to meet all the DB's. Another thing he wants so badly is to grow. He keeps telling me about all the things that he would be able to do, if he had a body. Well, hopefully some day he willg et his chance....

She's a very nice girl, and I hope we can become good friends. Otherwise I could have Phillip after me xd
He seemed troubled..but he was very polite. He seemed to think he looked monstrous, but I don't really see why...I wouldn't want to get on his bad side though.

Biig kitty! But very nice - she told me lots of things, and answered all my questions.
I only saw her briefly, and she didn't speak to me, but she didn't seem a very nice person.

I met him when I was exploring in that strange castle. We didn't really get a chance to talk, but I think we've met before. I didn't ask him, 'cause he might think I'm crazy. But I just can't shake this feeling...

We only spoke really quickly - I only know his name, because after that he fell asleep. Kida said he'd had a long day though, so maybe we can talk more some other time. He sure snores pretty loudly!

She lives with the big kitty..Duchess..and seemed kinda shy, but she touched me and it tickled biggrin

Gill - I saw him the other day, but I didn't really get a chance to talk to him much. He seemed real quite though - but prehaps that was because he is new? Anyway, his mum Lady V was very nice, although she seems sad somehow....
Mozenrath - I only got to talk to him for a short time, but he seemed alright.
Puck - Now here's a very interesting character biggrin He knows magic too, the lucky thing! Funnily enough, I think that I should know him from somewhere....

Mischief the Ribbon Pooka.
Riannon purchased him at Christmas, but he was shunned by her other pooka (who refused to have anything to do with him). So, she gave him to Lex as a Christmas present. The pair are now inseperable, and are very much 'partners in crime'. So much so that sometimes Riannon wonders if it was a wise thing to let Lex have him xd

<< It all happened on Halloween...part 1 >>

Halloween. It was a totally new festival for Riannon, as it was unheard of in the Isles, and she was quite confused by the frenzy that the Gaian residents got into. Luckily, her friend Morgan was quite familiar with the festival, and was very eager for her to participate in the festivities.
"So, let me get this straight. We dress up and go to people?s houses, and they give you candy?"
"That's right."
"And what exactly is the purpose? This is certainly very different from the Samhain festivals I used to know."
"Er, well..."
"She's got you there, Morgan," said Riannon with a grin.
"Anyway, aside from the technicalities, don't you think it would be fun?"
"Well.." Riannon considered this. "It would be something interesting to tell my friends back home in the Isles," she said.
"Great! So it's settled then. We go trick or treating on Halloween night."

And it certainly was. They had collected quite a bit of candy , and as the evening drew on, Morgan headed back to the Hall to prepare the place for potential trick-or-treaters, and so it was just Riannon and Epona who stumbled upon the store..

It was in one of the more obscure streets of Barton, and they had found it quite by accident. Several candles glimmered in the window, along with a grinning jack o'lantern. A sign swinging in the breeze proclaimed it to be The Magic Kingdom, and there were a number of items laid out on velvet cushions in the window. For some reason, Riannon felt herself drawn to them.
"I don't think you should go in, mortal. There is strange magic afoot. I can feel it."
"Your'e being paranoid again. It's just a regular old shop. I'm just curious to see what they sell, that's all. I won't be too long." And so, she disappeared inside. Epona sighed, and followed her in.

The inside of the shop glowed strangely from the candles, and there was a big brass bell on the counter.
"Alright, mortal. We've been inside the shop now, so it's time we left."
"What is it?"
"I've just got a feeling about this place. Something I can't quite put my finger on..."

"Can I help you?"
Both of them almost jumped out of their skins at the sudden appearance of someone at the counter.
"Good evening!" A fair haired woman in a blue gown peered at them. "I'm DB, and welcome to The Magic Kingdom. I suppose you're here trick-or-treating, eh?" She reached for a large jar of candies on the counter. "Or could it be that you?re looking to buy something?"
"That depends on what you're selling," replied Riannon.
The woman frowned. "Items," she said simply. "Special items."
"Special? Do you mean magic?" Riannon asked.
"Yes...and no," came the reply. "Excuse me for a minute." She turned towards the back of the shop. "Mulan!"
"Yes?" came the distant reply.
"Come and give me a hand here."
"Alright."
Another young woman soon appeared. She was a tall willowy Asian girl, and was soon carefully placing the tray of items on the counter.
"As I was saying," said DB,
"these are special items. Not because they are magical or powerful, but because of something special."
Riannon looked at the tray. The items certainly were varied. There was a large sword, a spool of thread, two crowns, a floppy disk and an egg.
"Don?t be fooled by their ordinary appearance," the other woman was saying. "DB is right in saying that these are very special items. And if I may give a word of advice?"
"Sure."
"It is often better to let the item choose you, rather than the other way around."
"Huh?"
DB laughed. "You're confusing the poor girl, Mulan. Let her find things out for herself."
Riannon looked at the items carefully. "Are they all for sale?"

"Well,"said DB, "the thread spool is being raffled, and that crown will be auctioned. Other than that, everything is fair game."
"Except the other crown," added Mulan.
"What?"
"When you were out, someone came in and bought it. She said she would come back and pick it up later, which is why it?s still here."

"Ah, alright then," said DB. "So, my dear, everything except the two crowns and the spool is available. Choose wisely!"
Riannon moved closer to the tray. It was actually the crown that had caught her attention in the first place, so now she had no idea what to choose. After racking her brains for a while, she was about to turn away, when for no apparent reason, she reached out her hand and closed it around the floppy disk.
"That one."
DB clapped her hands. "A very interesting choice, my dear. You are assured of never a dull moment with that one."
Riannon handed over the gold, and it was done.

"Good luck! And if you have any problems, don?t hesitate to ask us for help. Any questions?"
"Just one," said Riannon

"Ask away."
"What does DB stand for?"
The two women laughed. "Anything you want."

It was only as Riannon left the shop, that she realized what she had done. She'd gone and bought a seemingly ordinary disk, and she had no idea of what it might contain, or what it did.
"I'm usually more cautious than that," she complained to Epona. "Especially when it comes to purchasing things."
"Don't say I didn't warn you, mortal," was her response.
"I don't think it's bad or anything. DB and Mulan seemed like nice people. It's just...oh, I don't know. There's something about this item, and I just can't seem to put my finger on what it could be."
Epona sighed. "Come on, mortal Let's see if we can get any more candy."And so they headed off, Riannon stuffing the disk into her pocket, where it lay forgotten...
