What is Almahat?

Almahat is the dream realm where the dragons are born and live. Most of the time, humans have dreams that are solely made up by their own minds. In rare cases, they will break through to Almahat, although they will still think its a dream. What happens in Almahat is real, but humans can't come there save in astral, or spirit form. Almahat is like the real world, but with a few differences you can find out through rping. Only an adult dragon can physically pass from Almahat to the real world, and only if they are bonded to a human. They pass through the dreams of their human to get to our world. Its hard for a human to get to Almahat. Very rarely, they can do it unaided through their dreams. If they have a dragon, of any age, the dragon can take them there. The potions in the shop aid in sending the spirit to Almahat, but the effects only last for the space of one dream.

About Almahat:

As it is, a human can't physically enter Almahat. The only thing there is your dream self, kinda like an astral body. That's why you can go from your dreams straight into Almahat without waking up. The dragons, though, are physically in Almahat, since that is their original home. Its unclear if they are physical or not in your dreams, since they don't leave a body behind in Almahat. When a dragon becomes an adult, they can physically move to the real world. Until then, they live only in Almahat or in your dreams.

People rarely reach Almahat by themselves. If they do, they think it just a part of their dreams. A dragon bonded to a human can bring their dreamer's astral body to Almahat, but not the physical one.

Because there is no physical body, a dreamer has a lot of control over their body and the area surrounding them. Clothes are very changeable, it takes control to keep them the same all the time. Items can appear and disappear with a whim, but food and drink don't give any actual nuroshment, at least to humans.

Many creatures other than dragons live in Almahat. They are the ones that are rarely found in the Real World. Some are friendly, but a lot are not, including predators. Adult dragons have no predators, but baby dragons are vulnrable, especially if they are alone.

General rp rules:

-Keep it clean, this site is pg 13 after all
-you can not control other people's characters. Only yours, though you can choose to make up a character that lives in Almahat. No humans live in Almahat, so it would have to be an animal, animal-cross, or some other non-humanoid.
-Keep the unaided dreaming to a minimum. If you have one of the pets, but its not a dragon yet, wait until it is. If you don't have a pet, its ok to rp, as long as the character thinks its just a dream.
-Humans can't be bonded to a dragon unless its one from the mainshop. Its just too confusing otherwise.
-rules are subject to change, sometimes w/o notice.

This is the place were you may put a little bit about yourself, in relation to your rp in Almahat. You can include anything you'd like that involves your character, but if it gets too long, I may need you to cut it short.

Teroise bounded across the landscape, jumping from left to right as if dodging something invisible, while Rime struggled to keep up next to him, in her were form. She wouldn't yet change to full draconic, but this was a definite challenge, one she usually wouldn't take anyone up on.

But this was Teroise, and he had a way of making any challege seem reasonable. Or at least of making it seem like you should be ashamed for not taking it up, even if it is difficult.

"Gah! I give up! You win!" Rime slowed down to a walk and flopped over into the grass, arms and legs spread-eagled, her words punctuated by deep breaths.

~You're out of shape... Why didn't you go fully draconic?~ Teroise returned from where he had run ahead, and poked at Rime playfully with a gentle foot.

"'Cause... Well, I don't know. Becuase... I didn't.... want to... I guess. Whew!" She reached a hand up and patted Teroise on his chest, noting absently the way her claws clicked against the armored scales.

~Well... I guess that's okay. I was getting a little tired, too...~ He shook himself, and lay down next to her, basking in the warm afternoon sun.
