Blueberry's Parlor

User Image

This is where Typhoon3D takes care of his Scoop, Blueberry. Please, may only those who have been invited post here.

Blueberry's Note
This Scoop likes to keep to herself. But behind that quiet surface, lie a independent attitude and a rich imagination. Even though she acts jaded, she is prone to over-analyze other's actions and tends to hide her feelings - especially her crushes. Her interests include dark fashion, music, and gothic novels and poetry.

Tai was running at full speed, leaping from rooftop to rooftop as most righteous defenders do on their offtime. He skidded to a stop at his loft overlooking Durem. A small place, but home nonetheless. In his hands was a most coveted prize, something he had been desiring for the past week or so, maybe longer. It was a bowl of ice cream, blueberry to be exact. His new Scoop, which he had worked hard to buy off of his boss Miss Schala. "Welcome home, Blue heart ," he said, setting the bowl down upon a black doiley on the main table of his loft home. He sat in his easy chair and looked at it. "C'mon, do somethin," he commanded the ice cream.

Tai reached over and lit a few white candles to light the room, realizing how dark it truly was at this time of night, he snapped his fingers, "Oh yeah, a watched pot never melts... or something," he blew out the match and grabbed his book, leaning back in the chair, he pulled out his pen and began to write in his journal. Unfortunetly, Tai kept eyeing the bowl every few seconds. Setting down the black book with a photo a bat upon it, he sighed and stared again. "How long? gonk " he complained. His tired eyes became even heavier as he watched. The clock on his wall called the time. He sighed and nodded, "Well best get off to bed," he strolled off staring at the bowl, slamming into the closed door to his room and falling upon the floor. Tai slept soundly on the floor, curling up next to the table and gripping a foot pillow closely, "Mmm, I got a Scoop," he told himself in his sleep, "Finally whee ,"
(Surprise for later... actually I screwed up, but hey, this may come in handy)
There was something darkly romantic about the shadows cast by the candles over the curves of the navy-shaded ice cream. Slowly, those curves dissolved into nothingness, leaving only a smooth, creamy surface that flickered with reflected light.

Through that surface, something could sense a world beyond the porcelain edges. Silently as the night itself, a tiny head poked out. Blue curls bounced of their own accord while the bangs hung over already heavy eyes. Those deep orbs took in the sight of the dancing candles, the black lace, and the large bat. This place wasn't half bad. She leaned over the side of the bowl, stretching toward the doily, "Pu-re-teee..."

Tai's eyes snapped open at the sound of a tiny voice. He was all alone here, what could make any noise. He looked over the table at the tiny bowl, then to the blue figure that was reaching for the doily. "So this is a Scoop?" Tai asked himself, slowly rising, looking down upon the tiny thing. Oh it was adorable, his heart immediately melted (no pun intended).

Blueberry noticed the suddenly rising shadow that now dwarfed her in every aspect. She truned to see the large man, dressed in a black coat and bandages. Blueberry kept her gaze into the large one's blue eyes. She then noticed him grin. Tiny blue hands reached up to him, dripping. This one'll do for a caretaker.

Tai lifted the bowl gentley, "Welcome home, Blueberry," he grinned, "I'm your Papa," he told the tiny sugar Scoop. "And might I say what a cute little dark thing you are heart ," he cooed to her. "I'm gonna call you, Blue," he informed her.

Blue gave a quick smile and sank into her bowl, staring at her 'Papa,' taking her time to decide. She then realized how bright it was, being directly near a candle. Before she could block the rays, her Papa's hand came up and shielded her. Blue nodded and reached up again, "Papa!" she cooed softly in response.

Tai bit his bottem lip and grinned, "Kawaii whee ," he said to Blue.

Blue sank again, wondering what she was about to be in for...

"Alright my little one, off to bed," Tai rose, blowing out a few candles and took a few quick steps, stopping before the door, opening it, "Ha ha, fool me once-" slamming his head into the low lamp of his room stressed "Always come back to fool again," he laid the bowl by his bed, next to a glassed candle, "Night Blue, sweet whee dreams," he yawned and slowly went to sleep.

Blue gurgled and sank into her dark bowl, giving a quick smile as she drifted off to sleep

I've begun the long but rewarding task of raising a Scoop. She is Blueberry, but I affectionately call her, Blue, and what a curious and easily educated Scoop she is! But I'll come back to that.

My first night was not one filled with much sleep. Though I do sleep most of the day, I found myself quite tired that evening and though I wanted to sleep, the excitement of owning such an important thing as a Scoop kept me awake. I noticed Blue was also awake, staring at me with wide eyes and reaching, dripping hands. I rose and she followed, desiring to be held. I lifted her to eyelevel, yet she seemed more focus to above my eyes. My horns, were the source of her amazment. Who am I to deny a Scoop fun? So I let her explore my head. I forgot they drip...
---
A shower later and I returned to see Blueberry staring at my television screen, the remote beside her. I recognized the movie instantly, Lon Cheney's "The Wolf Man," truly a classic. I explained to her about werewolves and she replied, "War wilf?" I thought it was most adorable, and decided to tell her more on the many creatures of cinema and gothic horror that I had grown to love while growing up. I found she was most interested by Vampires, more specifically, anything Anne Rice related. I don't blame Blue's natural attraction, who couldn't love bishounen "Vampwilers".

I read to her most of the day before heading to the Sweet Tooth to work.
---
Well well, Miss Blue certainly has a few new traits. She's shy, very shy, to start, but a nudge will get her to intereact. She also learned to speak remarkably fast. Jumbled words and what not, but she's getting close to perfect articulation.
She then started to waltz while playing pretend. Very cute, I wish I had a picture whee . But she met another Scoop, Scaramel, who I think made the little Scoop's heart jump! At first she was terrified of the little guy, but then she waltzed with him. Rockapella and I both agreed there was a little something, but they're young, it's probably just the allure from all my goth romance I put into Blue's head.

She's asleep now, cuddling the big pink bunny I got from Lolly. Very nice bed, for Blueberry. xd Even though it's pink, she doesn't mind, I think it's just the fact that it's from a friend is why she loves it so much. I hope she grows up happy, and doesn't go into a dark stage like me... I'll have to try and avert that as much as possible.

I'm off to bed, night all.

I recieved an envelope with yet another gift for Blue. A small jewel-bearing cross from Mnemosyne. Blue simply adores it and currently it resides above her head on her bunny doll/bed (a gift from Lolly). Both of them have been a real help in my raising of the little darling.

One thing I failed to notice earlier with my Scoop was her little security issue. While she seems a little more trusting to the others in the Sweet Tooth, Blueberry always carries her umbrella with her. This is obviously her equivalent for a "blankie" so she'll probably outgrow in when she's older. Although I decided to make her a little present pertainting to umbrellas, sewing on the black doily upon my table to her current cocktail umbrella. She loves it so, and it drapes so well over her bowl when she goes to hide from a new visitor.

While resting this afternoon, and awaiting a few phonecalls, Blueberry was exploring my loft. Though not too far from her bowl, and obviously with her umbrella, she still managed to make it the the kitchen. Low and behold she discovered my freezer. It's a large freezer, meant for meat storage, but she instantly claimed it as her's. Looks like the little doll has her own little playroom, whee . I hope it won't take the place of her bowl when she's older. I can't be seen lugging around a freezer that's big enough to hold a human body. sweatdrop

I'm off to work now, adieu

"RaT baT CaT"
"Blue! Are you writing in my journal?"
"Dun be siwwy Papa, I'm... pwaying with... Malachi"
"I'm looking at your bunny right here,"
"AH! Dublegangah!" scurries back to the living room and pounces her bunny bed and nuzzles the cross hanging from one ear.
"Ah man... using cute to kill my anger..."

November 11, 2004

It was during playtime today that Blue became very defensive against her playmate, Scaramel, on the subject of "Badguys," and thier methods. I sadly taught Blueberry the same things my parents had taught me; that all people had a heart and a goodness inside them. I also told her that the badguys in movies were acting, it was all pretend. Sadly, she thought it meant all badguys were good hearted and that none of them deserved to be hurt. I talked a little with her after leaving Scoops and told here there were some badguys, some really badguys in real life. It seemed I may have crushed a little of her childhood when I revealed that. She was ready to play again, but I noticed that Blue truly did not have her heart in the little games the Scoops played.

I took her out shopping for gifts afterwards, this seemed to cheer her up. Two kimonos and some gifts for a few other scoops. Granted the reason we got the gifts was because Blueberry couldn't keep her dripping hands to herself... But the products cleaned right off, and made excellent presents. ...Thenagain I'm broke... sweatdrop Well I brought back that little sparkle in Blue's sugar eyes that was so quickly taken away, so I'm not complaining.

There was another thing at the playtime at Scoops that I noticed: I believe my little one has a crush on the same Scoop she was angry with. Scaramel, Rockapella's little trickster, is certainly a lovable little guy, but I had no idea that he and Blue would hit it off so well. Although she'd never admit it to me, I can see their little talks beneath the tables and the way she sways lightly while watching him. Oh so cute whee

Do I regret adopting her? Not at all, but I do think I may have my hands full for a while. She's so innocent and I'm so... well I won't go there. But I want her to stay that way as long as I can before she turns into an adult. If it means letting her buy a new dress or... letting her go, I'm willing to do so for my love of her. I just hope I can keep her happy without breaking the bank... or my heart.

Tai lightly ran one finger over the head of Blueberry, who slept upon the bunny doll. He grinned at her instinctive nuzzle and coo. "Off to bed," Tai reminded himself as he blew out the candles.

I've been watching Blueberry's artistic side flourish. And I am pleased. Not so much with the way I'm depicted but hey, she'll develop more skills as she grows. However I am concerened as any parent should be with her latest work. Posted above for the 14th. I see Blue in the back with the other Scoops, and though I can't tell what the action is, I see Blue has eyes, and the others do not. I hope this isn't something to be too concerned over.

The poor girl must be working through the acceptance of others and the fact that she can't be friends with everyone. I shall take the blame in letting her think that. Blue will probably get over this phase, and she'll be back to giving those small smiles that I love to see. Ah there's one now. She's working on her letters. I'm surprised at how quick of a learner she is, and only a week old.

Blue's also become quite attached to the huge freezer in my apartment. She's got a room with a frozen bunny doll and 2 necklaces. To decorate the walls. We're both pleased 3nodding

I think I'll watch her draw

"Hey sugarheart," Tai greeted, "What'cha drawing?"
"Nuu..." Blue hides it
Tai grinned, "Gotta get you outta this privacy fix,"

I saw my first Scoop fight... it was over Blue. She's sad. I never want to see a Scoop fight again.

Blueberry. She's a fun, and adorable little girl. And I spend every minute I can to educate her. I read her comics, I read her novels, I teach her to draw and to display perfect ettiqutte. The little darling seems to excell in everything. However I believe I may be spending too much time with her. She showed a little concern for me with the girls and guys before, the usual teasing. Last night she threw one of her umbrellas at Schala. I caught it and no one really noticed, so no harm done. I understand her concern, she loves me, as I love her, but she needs to get over this protective nature. It's a phase, it'll pass. I talked it over with her, and well... I'm teaching her how to throw. That was sloppy how she threw, but it was still pretty dead on, so with a little practice, Blue might have another little skill.
I want to have some time apart from Blue. But each time I try, I think I feel a little ache for her. I can't do that, she's me.. well my daughter. I promised to raise her to the best of my ability. I need to get her over some things and I know it won't take too long. The sweetheart's brilliant and I think I'm just over reacting.

She's asleep again, I see her doing that often within the big freezer and her (now cluttered) bowl.

I see myself, heh, I've become my parents.

"Blue! Time to go to the Sweet Tooth!" Tai called towards the living room.
Blue closed up his journal and scurried to her bowl, "Wready!" she quickly opened her umbrella and awaited her ride.

Thanksgiving

Tai set out the plates and set up a small stool for Blue atop his table. The loft was slightly colder due to a cracked window, but Tai always did love the cold. He set out his meal, some small servings of ham and turkey. Beside the warm meal sat Blueberry's sweet meal of candy and milk. He went into the main room of the loft and lifted the freezer door, "Dinner,"

Blue looked up from her newly decorated freezer room. She smiled to her father as he lifted her out and set her on her side of the table, taking his seat across from the scoop. "Papa, whash the okay-tion?" Blueberry asked, though her eyes were trailing over the many tastey meals made just for her.

Tai sighed, "It's Thanksgiving my little one... it's a celebration of when the white man came from his country and got saved by my ancestors. Then my ancestors got repaid by being slaughtered," he spoke grimly.

Blueberry got quiet after her father finished, "B-bu... but why? And why do it?"

"Because my little dear one," he began, "We are not remembering the bad, we are remembering what we are thankful for. That is why we celebrate," Tai leaned back in his seat and thought, "As for why the settlers killed the same people who saved them... well it was because that they had found perfection. And perfection was not like them, thus they had to destroy it. It was their way. But now, things are getting better, slowly, but surely. Now let's eat, and I'll tell you some of the old Creek stories my mother told me," he grinned to the blue scoop.

Blue smiled, understanding her father's words, "I'm thankful to have a papa!" she suddenly dug into the sugar stars.

Tai laughed and began to eat his meal, watching his little dark angel enjoy her Thanksgiving.
