Jak and Daxter

Well the story begins when a young mute boy named Jak and his bucked tooth friend Daxter go to a Dark Eco hole/well/thing, and Daxter falls in turning into an orange ottsel....yes, strange, but who cares. Gol and Maia are the two bad guys, trying to harness the energy of a dark eco to use it to destroy the world. Enough about the beginning, this game is an extremely fun game, you have to collect Precursor orbs to get into different areas trying to stop Gol and Maia. You also have to free the Yellow, Blue and Red sages to help the green sage, Samos, to prevent Maia and Gol from harnessing the power from dark eco. You can ride Flut Fluts, these bird like things that Jak rides on. Also, there is this hover cycle like thing for different missions. You gather power cells to do missions for precursor orbs to advance further into the game. The game play is Jak defeating lurkers in different levels.

Ok, this review is going to be better then the first. Jak two is about Samos, Keira, and Jak finding a precursor artifact which they believe is a time traveler, so Keira invents a special car for it. I'm going to ruin the surprise of how they got it. This monster's head appears in the portal and says that He will conquer Jak's world. Keira starts up the vehicle before the monster could do them anyharm, and went through the portal. They appear in this city, called Haven city. Jak and Daxter get seperated from Samos and Keira. Jak gets captured and Daxter said, "I'll get you out as soon as possiable!"
2 years later....
This is where our story begins, Jak escapes Baron Braxis and Errol, once again i'm not going to ruin the surprise. Jak can also turn into Dark jak, which Baren Braxis pumped dark eco into Jak. Jak can turn into his evil self and can do ultimate power moves. In this game, it take on the GTA look(Grand Theft Auto, if you didn't know) They have four different guns, a Scatter gun which is a short, wide ranged gun, A Vulcun Fury gun, which is a machine gun. A Power Blaster, which is a sniper like gun, only its not first person. Lastly, the peace maker, which is like an eletric bazooka. The reason it is like Grand Theft Auto, is because you can do different missions, you can grab different zoomers, and you can when you kill someone, the police would be on you like a hobo on a ham sandwhich.
Includeing new charecters and a good ending.

The beginning of this story, is Jak is banished to the wasteland, by count Veger because of Jak's association with Krew and Kor, once again, i'm not going to ruin the surprise. So Ashlen gives Jak some sort of beacon and while they walk through the desert, you can enjoy some amuseing chatting between Pecker and Daxter. This game is absolutely amazing, and you WANT to get the precursor orbs by doing different missions. Jak is rescued by these Wastelanders as the story unfolds in Spargus City. You get to ride in 8 different dune buggies when you unlock the three secret ones. Each car is unique, the dune hopper can jump high, the sand shark is fast, and the slam dowser is powerfulYou can fight with machine guns and grenades mounted on the Dunebuggy like things, and side missions such as raceing and finding areas and doing jumps for precursor orbs. The Orbs are used for secrets. Also, you revisit Haven City. You can turn into Light Jak, and you can still turn into Dark Jak. Light Jak can fly, heal, sheild, and freeze time! This is the best part, for each gun, there are two upgrades. Scatter gun one is the same from Jak 2. Scatter gun upgrade one is when Jak shoots the ground and a huge wave circle radius destroys anything in their path. Lastly, It's last upgrade is a grenade, but takes up 8 ammo. You can switch between upgrades by pushing on the controller pad, say peace maker is right, when you want it's upgrade, you push right again and etc. Anyway, The power blaster gun is the same. The first upgrade is when the shot BOUNCES off enemies, walls, and different obsticles. The second upgrade is my favorite, Jak shoots this disc into the air, then all of a sudden the disk starts shooting everything in sight. This takes up 50 ammo though. The vulcan fury is still a machine gun for its first stage. The second stage is an electric powered gun. The third stage is a gun that shoots out three homeing interceptors as fast as a machine gun. Lastly, the peacemaker is the same. Its first upgrade is when Jak shoots the ground, and everything around him floats in the air. Lastly, the last upgrade you get, is a NUKE, yes a nuke, you shoot it and it destroys everything around him and the air goes up in a nuke. I forgot to mention that you get your hoverboard again, and you get Leaping Lizards in spargus city.

Obviously I haven't played it yet, but there is a new game coming out. Imagine Mario kart in hell where you fight for your lives, thats almost Jak X in a nutshell. Unlike the random roaming around in the desert in Jak 3, you wander around a battlefeild in warp ten trying to dodge objects and bullets flinging past you, but you fight in cities, the snow, around a lake, etc. In Jak X, you are racing against multiple people and computers in the dune buggies you loved in Jak 3 and then some. The storyline might continue from Jak 3 but currently i do not know. You can either duel it out with some friends like twisted metal, or you can just race it out through a firey pit of hell. You can go online with up to 6 players also. If your not the one dishing out a sweet sweet can of whoop a**, your the one running around like a constipated weiner dog trying to avoid being blown up into tiny fragments. For Jak fans and racing fans this is a must have, for everyone else, I suggest a rental.<center>
