My username is Phillis, and I'm a fairly well-known artist in the Requests and Commissions subforum.

my story
Near the time when the fishing store glitch occurred (which I was completely oblivious of), I found XXLargePimpin's request thread, and PM'd him, offering to discuss a commission over Yahoo Instant Messenger. His YIM username is dragonfly_punk_666, which, isn't on his profile, but was PM'd to me. <I>This "newbie" (join date November 22, 2004) offered me 800K for a commission, 400K upfront, 400K at the end.</I> Naturally, I took the offer, and wound up with 400K glitched gold in my inventory.

Being someone who's in R&C all the time, I had no knowledge of the glitch. I went and bought an Angelic Sash, a prize for an art contest I'm holding at the BBS guild. A friend, Zer, informed me on AIM, after talking to former-mod Shin no Kimiko, that "there is someone on the R&C spending glitched gold." Right then and there, I realized why someone was crazy enough to offer me 800K for a couples commission.

Immediately, I PM'd Dri, a green mod whom I've made gift-art for before, and told her about my situation. She said she didn't know, and would ask the admins. Shortly afterwards, I found myself banned from Gaia.


I wish for it to be known that my account is "guilty" of one of these <i>questionable trades</i>.

Please help. I understand that there are many, many other trades for the admins/mods to go through, but I've created this thread in hopes that my situation won't be overlooked. The trade is a one-way trade, so it seems that I am related to XXLargePimpin in some way. I promise you I'm not, he's the guilty commissioner, and I am (in my opinion) and innocent victimized artist.

Well, though I prolly would've though twice about accepting 800k for a single comission, even of your quality...I think I would probably be too much in shock to question it if I doidn't know about the gold glitch as you didn't. I think your banning was unfair, especially considering you reported yourself.

An understandable error and I hope you get yourself unbanned. In the future though, you might want to be wary of ridiculously high offers for your work. Though I'm sure you've learned that already.
