<center><img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v150/elfy_girls_from_gaia/Breedables/Aqu/Aquene.jpg"></center>
Aquene was born beneath the surface of a lake, and named Ardrella by her first family. For the first five years of her life, she lived like any other child in the underground city, with a mother, a father, a few siblings and even a cat. When she turned five, she was taken away to be put in a boarding school of type, in which she was trained how to be a perfect Priestess...
Not for her first world though. For above this lake, and this underground city, was a second type of people. These people were simple and happy, but they were also fed a lie. The underground city dwellers kept complete control on the tribes by hiding themselves and keeping up a false goddess act which through fancy technology, fireworks and fancy laser tricks, they managed to keep up for thousands of years, keeping the tribes suspended in their advancement as the hidden civilization continued to learn, mine, hunt, and use the land.
Ardrella was born exactly for that, to continue the lie, to pretend to be one of the priestess. When she was fifteen, she was placed in a realistic mechanical flower and lifted to the surface of the lake.
But she wasn't ideal, Ardrella didn't like being forced to keep a lie. She was shy, unable to cope with loud crowds, the Priestess rituals in front of the tribes and public speaking, and eventually she did the unthinkable- she fell in love with a tribe boy and told him everything. When the young lovers were discovered, he was sentenced to death by drowning for 'Raping a priestess'.
Ardrella fell into a depressed slump for a few years, walking around as if her soul had died with her lover. But she was able to do her duties. That was all that mattered to the others.
And one day, she changed. Ardrella refused to tell anyone why, but she suddenly 'woke up'. And then, barely a week after, she was gone. Ardrella ran from the temple, ran from the false life she hated. She returned to her lover's sister, borrowed clothing and ran as fast as she could from that life.
The jungle was where Ardrella ended up, a lush green environment that was forbidden. It had dangerous tree dwelling cats, odd creatures, poisonous fruits. This wasn't where Ardrella planned on staying, she walked right through the jungle. She was heading for the volcano, that always smoked poisonous fumes. But before she could end up there, she ran into something she didnt' expect. Tribes... and more than one. These people hid in the forbidden jungle away from the lie of the goddess, and had done for so long that all outside had forgotten they even existed.
And all that time left alone, these tribes had evolved... they'd discovered the magic of the land, they'd discovered how to create homes in the trees, and as a mark as belonging, they all had odd wings...
And what was most astonishing to Ardrella, the girl who'd always been misunderstood by all but her lover, was that they knew exactly where she was heading, and for what purpose.
She was immediately accepted into the tribes, and renamed Aquene as a symbol of a new life, and a new chance to heal. And as a token of their trust, they created wings and a mark of the area for her so that she'd always belong. And so, she finally started to heal, and although the gap that her lover had left never filled... she finally found herself able to live without sadness. Aquene learnt of magic, of those they really trusted, and those they worshiped.
Naturally, Aquene was skeptical at first- She'd just been a false priestess and she saw no good in religion. But these people were not about fancy miracles; they didn't ask for them, they lived with a peace in their souls that made them content and happy. And when Aquene tried to tell them the truth about the false goddess, they shocked her by telling her that they knew already. They didn't care, and they saw no reason to tell anyone outside the jungle. It took Aquene a while to accept that, to swallow it down and decide that she was willing to live with it.
But it was here she grew up. After a few years in the jungle, Aquene was kissed by the speckled sun, her skin had grown darker and she almost passed for one of them.
But she wasn't the only one from the underground city that had enough with the lies and the deciet, something else was brewing beneath their very feet...
I shouldn't need to tell you guys. xd
The concept of Ardrella/Aquene is copywrited, and touching means badness. domokun

<center>Aquene's Bedroom.</center>
-No Image-
Right now, it's simple. A second hand crib that can be taken apart and put back together as a child's bed, with fabric flowers entwined around the wooden frame. Some soft toys, and a mobile above her head with little shimmery crystals in the shapes of stars and moons.
A few of these lamps are dotted around the room.
On the bookshelf are these:

1-4 are gifts from Kia.
In a toybox in the corner are:

They're all presents from Kia, her old toys. The Arwen plushie was a present from Shina long ago, and the pyramid was an old present from Vash.
Plants in the room are:

Aquene arives.
(In a madhouse? XD)
It was funny how history repeated itself.
A few days after seeing Taka, Kia sat in her Mother's library reading and teaching herself things. In itself was no particularly unusual thing, she often read in the calm room. It helped Kia's mind read, when there wasn't distractions, and add that to the soft fluttering that had to be the baby in her womb, it left Kia placid and in a state of happy-peaceful.
But tonight, she was startled by the faint sounds of someone approaching the house with someone else... making baby sounds? Why on earth would they make baby sounds?
Kia stood up, dropped the book on the couch and wandered outside to see who might be coming to the house. She was confronted with the sight of a woman holding a little baby, and the baby's wings going through the woman' arm... now THAT wasn't something Kia was used to. They fluttered, eerie and glittery like four sets of ghostly wings, going right through anything that wasn't the baby.
Without much exchanged between them, Kia found herself holding the little girl and the woman walking back down the driveway again.
"Who are you?" Kia asked the blonde girl, jigging her slightly. She was a bit relaxed now that she realized that the wings didn't hurt her... but she'd never get used to seeing her arm going right through them.
Anquene yawned, and told Kia very clearly... in baby talk... "Oooboookooo..."
"Uh... huh." Kia jigged the baby again to try and get a better grip. "I guess you are Momma's baby...?"
"Ooo..." Aquene found Kia's hair, and tugged.
"OW." Kia squealed, and wandered inside the house. There she met Aurora, who was making her way down the stairs with a box of noodles.
"Who's that?"
"Another of Momma's babies." Kia answered, and added, "She starting orphanage, I know it."
"I think you're right." Aurora wandered over to take Aquene's hand. "Hi."
"Ooo..." The hand that had been on Kia's hair was now clutching tightly to a chunk of Aurora's very long hair.
Aurora squealed as well, remarkably like how Kia had moments ago. "Um... nice baby... good baby... let go!"
After a few seconds of trying to pry her little fingers off their hair, Aurora peered at the wings.
"They're really strange...." She murmured as she quickly ran her finger right through the middle of them. All it did was make the glitteryness follow Aurora's finger for a second, but the wings remained whole and untouched. "But nice."
"I call Momma, I think. ...can you help?" Kia gestured at the laptop with the web cam, that Neith had left behind for anyone that had wanted to call her.
"Urgh. Fine." Aurora went into the library to fiddle with the laptop.
A loud scream made Kia and Aquene jump high in the air.
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Miakoda screeched as she ran down the stairs, the Keon's arms failing around wildly. "I NOTS STAY IN ROOM WITH THAT MOSER NO MORE!"
"...huh?" Kia blinked, as the keon latched herself to Kia's leg. She'd found more and more that hwen Neith wasnt' around... Kia was the alternative during the day. Neith was at the island chain right now.
And then a second Keon girl ran down the stairs. She was smirking and baring her long sharp teeth. "I get yous!"
"SAVE ME, KIA!" Mia screeched again, trying to climb up into Kia's spare arm. "SAVE ME FROM MOSER!"
"You mean Monster?"
Aurora wandered back over, and scooped Mia up into her arms. "Neith's online, Kia."
Kia nodded and wandered over to sit at the laptop with the new baby, Aquene. "Hi Momma!"
Neith peered at the screen, a bit surprised to see two things. First, was the baby. And ... was Kia gaining weight? Well, Neith knew she would with all the cheesecake. "Hi Kia, how's life in Gaia?"
"It good... Momma, this baby just came." Kia held Aquene to the webcam, and Aquene reached out for it. It looked good for sucking on, after all! Kia tugged her back before the damage was done and added, "Who is she?"
To Neith's surprise, the second she saw the girl, she knew. "Aquene. ...and I'm not sure how I knew that. But she's beautiful, when did she come?"
"Just then." Aurora leaned over Kia's shoulder, and waved. "Hi Neith!"
Kia elbowed Aurora, and asked Neith, "What do I do?"
"Babysit her, I'll come back for her. I'll just need to see if anyone wants to babysit Kiah while I'm away... OH! Look, we can see her eyes now!" Now it was Neith's turn to hold up a baby, Kiah staring at the screen with her wide eyes.
"Cute. Momma, when will you be back?"
"Soon, as soon as I get a babysitter. And Kia, please try and eat less cheesecake..." Neith wasn't sure how to explain, so she hurriedly told Kia, "Bye," and disconnected.
Kia sighed, and flopped back on the couch on her back. Aquene seemed to like this too, snuggling into Kia's side and giving her a big yawny smile. Kia leaned down to gently ruffle Aquene's baby soft hair, and told her, "Well, little sister. Looks like we get some us time before Neith comes for you..."
Aquene yawned again, and started to suck on Kia's hair.
The madness of the rest of the house seemed to be cut off the moment Aurora shut the library doors to give them some peace. Aurora shooed the keons away to the living room, and followed with a kid's movie in hand. Kia looked like she needed some time with with the baby.

"What do you mean, I've got to take care of her?" Aurora whined, as she was given Aquene and a bag with baby things. Aquene let herself be handed over, but Aurora wasnt' looking all to pleased at all.
Kia pointed at her stomach dramatically, and then pushed at Aurora. "I pregnant, so I sleep. Go! Take Ene to somewhere, make friends, be social, have fun! Bye!"
She pushed Aurora out the door, and Aurora trudged along the footpath with Aquene in one arm, and the backpack on the other.
Aurora wandered down the path for a three seconds. Then she put Aquene down, and carefully tied her hair back to keep it away from the baby's tugging fingers. Aquene took advantage of that moment, doing a 'super crawl' towards a yummy looking snail. Yum yum!
Luckily, Aurora picked her up before any crunchy sounds were heard, and they continued down the pathway in some random direction.
Aurora walked up to the place slowly, with Aquene in her arms. The directions led her here, but now that she was here, she was going bright red and a bit embarrased. Social! Well... she had to do it for the baby. Pest!
So Aurora wandered foward, muttering things in Greek that she'd never want Aquene to hear in English. And it took her three steps to stare up from where she had been looking at her feet... and to see Dare. Aurora went bright red, again, and almost dropped Aquene.
He was CUTE.
She recovered quickly, and hurriedly put Aquene down. Aquene went off on a power-crawl towards the nearest toy, and shoved it in her mouth, her little wings fluttering excitedly. Now this was good!
Snarf!
Gyre's nose took in a great tuft of April's hair. Smelled good. Was fine. Passed inspection. The bird child sat down in front of April and waved back to her. She rather liked her smell. Smelled good.
Lu waved and bowed to Aurora, watching the new baby Legend. Gyre turned a bit to watch as well, but she was going to pay attention to one thing at a time.
Dare turns to the entranceway as a breeze of frigid air marks the arrival of another person. He gives a toothy smile to the newcomer, having not seen anyone quite like this girl before.
"Hullo," he says plainly, shrugging the strap of his guitar case off his shoulder. It'd been sitting there too long that it began to feel heavy, so he'll let it rest a while. After setting down the case carefully against the wall, he continues talking to be polite.
"Cold day today, but they're saying it'll only get worse." He gestures toward Aquene, "I haven't seen her before, is she new?"
There's a gentle tug against April's mouth, the famous almost-smile that she wears only sometimes. Something stirs from within her yellow scarf, and there's a flash of dark orange, but nothing more.
Aurora peered at the guitar and then back at him. Did he play? He was probably really good, he looked like one of those rockstars, in fact, was he? She didn't even think about what he'd said till a few seconds later. "Oh! I... this seems too cold already... I've never seen snow or anything. Before this winter, I mean."
Aquene peered up from the teddybear's foot to Dare. Then she dropped it, power-crawled to his ankle and latched on. Yumyumyum!
Aurora went red again, and nodded. "She's ... she's Aquene. She came a few days ago, and ... yea. She has nice wings, if you touch them. Nice if you don't too."
Aquene peered from the ankle towards the other babies, not sure if she was feeling like being curious about them or not. They were kind of scary!
Dare smiles sheepishly. "To tell you the truth, I haven't either. It's not all as bad as everyone makes it out to be; then again, I'm not the one who has to shovel it all."
Catching on to her glance at his guitar, he runs his left hand across the top of the case. The case itself is sturdy, pitch black and not at all bulky. There is a golden trim outlining the corners, and the strap itself seems to be made of the same material as his coat.
With a thoughtful pause, his olive green eyes meet down on Aurora's. He grins playfully at her, not really having any sort of explination for how enthusiastic he is today. First, offering to babysit, and now -
"You like music? I'm told I play a'right, so if you've got a favourite song, I'll try an' take a crack at it."
April watches, dumbfounded by this action. Chewing? She used to chew on Daddy's glasses, but now her teeth have grown in right so she doesn't do that anymore. Leaning forward slowly, she holds out her hands and braces herself for impact with the floor in crawling position. Her knees brush the ground and her hands pull herself forward until she's back beside her brother.
Black and orange hair streaming to the side as the baby cocks her head, she scrunches up her face very slightly in a puzzled, questioning look directed at the baby Legend.
"I want to try ice skating, it looks so easy. It's always easy looking on TV, but I guess it's really hard in real life." Aurora scratched her head, tugging her hair out of the hair tie, now that it wasn't going to be tugged on by the baby. "You haven't seem it either...? Where are you from?"
She was hardly going to tell him she was only a few months old, Aurora decided, if he asked. So she turned her attention to the guitar, and nodded. "I love music! I just can't play... I guess I can sing a bit? But... you play any song and I'll see if I know and like it?"
Aquene's attention was taken away from the ankle for a second, and straight to the other little baby. She took her mouth off his ankle, and somehow managed to shift herself into a sitting position. This baby made Aquene confused, so she told it, "Phhb." and held out one of the toys nearby. Did it want something to chew on too?
April reaches out and accepts the toy, though just sits it in both of her hands and stares at it. She examines it until all ridges and bumps and colours are memorized in her mind. What is she supposed to do with this..? She looks up at the baby for guidance.
Dare smiles down at the two babies as they interact, wondering what it was they were really thinking. Putting his mind back on track, he pulls over a stool from the kitchen and sets it down where the babies can still be in sight.
"I'll see what I can come up with," he replies honestly, flipping open the locks and opening up the case. He lifts out his precious guitar, taking a moment to tap a finger on the hourglass with a light nostalgic smile. Guitar in hand, he sets the case against the floor again and plays a chord to figure out what his tuning was set to last.
Quickly, expertly, he makes some changes as if they were so obvious that one was born knowing how to do this stuff. The question still lingered about where he was from, but it was just odd to admit to this girl that he's not much more than a few months of age. Instead, he recalls a song he'd recently heard on the radio, some sort of rock Christmas song.
His bare hands brush across the strings as he plays the first thirty seconds. Dare flattens his top hand across them to abruptly stop the music, looking up at her for guidance. "Know that one? I'd really like to hear your voice, so let's find something you know the words to."
Aquene was already reaching for another toy, and she shoved it in her mouth happily. Funny, how these things always tasted nice! So she chewed with her gums, and hummed baby noises at April, and chewed more, her wings fluttering madly... and going right into the wall with each movement.
Aurora followed, getting her own stool and perching on it. She felt a bit vulnerable without a real chair, but she was hardly going to say it. And then she watched him fiddle with his guitar, as if he knew everything about it. Rora had read about that before, when a musician knew his or her instrument like it was another limb. Was that how it was for this guy?
She flushed along her neck as she listened to the music that filled the room, unable to think clearly about what song it was. Aurora just nodded, and half stuttered, "I... think I know that one. Um. What else? I'm not such a good singer anyway, so ... but what's it like to play like you've known all your life? I've never really been able to play an instrument, just sing."
Dare leans forward, his guitar tilted in his lap at an angle so the light in the room streaks off it in a beautiful way. There isn't a scratch nor a fault in this instrument; he wouldn't let it get that way. His red bangs fall across his eyes as he looks thoughtfully upon her questions.
"I've never studied any music, truth be told. It's all natural to me, as if I've already learned every song there is to play." With his free hand, he gives a push against his hair, but it falls back anyway so he ignores it. "I can'na' sing for -- anything," he corrects himself cooly, reminded of the babies in the room, "But music's something I do know."
Grinning eagerly, he adjusts back so he's ready to play again. Giving her a quick glance, he focuses on the strings beneath him as he targets his fingers. "Don't let me push you into singing if you don't want. Just thought your voice'd be a lovely addition to the atmosphere, is all."
With that, his fingers breathe a life of their own and play vigorously a song Dare never actually heard before, but sounds just as wonderful as if he'd practiced it for years.
April perks up at the sound of the song; however, when she's focused on something, she really focuses on it. She picks up on the humming over the sound of her brother's music, and becomes even more intrigued at the sight of the wings. The other baby had feathers.. soft looking ones, too. These ones..
She moves forward, gently reaching an overly curious hand to the closest wing.
"Like how I can speak Greek, I guess." Aurora answered, leaning forward to very gently ,as if she was afraid one touch would break it, run a finger over the beautiful guitar. Then she withdrew her hand and looked at her feet. "Sorry... just how it looked. I wanted to see how it felt."
She glanced back up, and went a bit red at the way the hair fell into his eyes and... Aurora inwardly sighed. She HAD to stop reading those teenage girl magazines. "You do, it's all so pretty... the music, I mean. Nice, I mean. And... I'm not scared, just, I've never sung for others before so..."
Aquene jerked her head up at the song as well, curious. What was that? Was it a funny shaped ... music box thing? It was nice! She shifted foward, just as April did, and the wings fluttered right through April's hands as if it wasn't there, leaving April's hand glittery and shiny for a few seconds.
April shakes her hand vigorously as it sparkles. Disappointment is evident as it fades away, but the curious nature of this type of wings strikes her hard. Her hands might be back to normal, but there's something about those wings..
She drags herself closer, eyes wide and locked on the fluttering things. Curiosity pokes his head out from beneath her yellow scarf, disgruntled with all of the moving around. He takes one look at the wings, barking sharply in disgust that she can be distracted so easily.
"You should try it. I never was keen on playing in public, but hey - I found out I can make other people happy with my music, as well as myself." He catches sight of the slight blush on her cheeks, but was never really sure what that meant. He's never really taken the time to make himself familiar with the subtle emotions of girls and what they just might indicate.
Hands quickly playing the notes to Jingle Bells, he holds out the guitar to her. "You can see it if you'd like," he offers quietly, finding the silence in the room a bit unnerving. "I'd best be getting April some sort of snack, anyway."
"I should, I know. Kia tells me that I make the dead cry." Aurora muttered the last part, and went red again when he held out the guitar. She took it tentiavlly, her fingers soft but firm so that she wouldn't drop it, but she wouldn't... bruise it? Could you bruise guitars? she wondered, as she ran one curious finger along a string. "I've never held a guitar before."
Aquene jumped, and peered at the noise. Who was that? she seemed to ask, pointing at Curiosity with one fist, the other still clinging to the toy she'd gotten for herself.
But she leaned foward, twisting so that her back was to the other girl. Aquene was letting April touch again, she hadn't felt anything and the other seemed to like the glitteryness?

Dear Diary
Christmas is coming, and we've been already getting presents for Aquene! I'm so surprised, she's only been in the HQ building once, and that was Aurora taking her.
I wasn't around when Aquene came, and I feel a little ashamed about that. I was at the islands with my other baby, and now I'm sitting at home with them both. They're playing together, they look like they might be friends? I can hope so.
Aquene is a strange baby, I'm not really used to ... even Kia wasn't strange, and fa'e are known for not being human in apperance! Her wings, four of them, flutter like a hummingbirds, ever moving, never paused. And they are some form of magic, I'm not quite sure what, they're not real to me. To Aquene, they're touchable and real, but for some reason anything else just goes right through them.
I'm slightly glad about that... they are so delicate looking. They look like the slightest bump could shatter one.
She has a forehead jewel like me, but I suspect it's for different reasons.
Anyway, these presents! First one is a fishbowl, and I think we're getting fish around Christmas? And the second was this letterbox... I wasn't sure where to ptu it, so it's sitting in the family room next to the Christmas tree. We're going to have to go shopping soon, so that we can give gifts as well.

Dear Diary
Aquene is driving me nuts! I know I posted an entry barely hours ago, but I needed to add this.
I adore her too. But she pullde the fridge door open, a carton of milk fell out and she sat on it. It exploded out one end, and instead of getting upset... she went to the fridge, pulled out another carton of milk and sat on it.
And then got eggnog, and then juice and...
Now she's got this habit of testing to see if a box can be squeezed.
Then she got to the EGGs. I don't know HOW she got tehm down, but she did. She made such a mess!
She adores my books as well. Aquene will pull one down off the shelf, push through the pages with her rough hand, and then go for another book. It's like she's trying to find something, or trying to learn something... she doesn't like to be read to so much as to be shown things. I've taken to taking Aquene on my dawn trips, when I welcome the sun. Shes' quiet and calm and she watches quietly. It's nice. Kind of like a bonding thing.
But I need to put a child lock on the fridge.
Neith.

At the headquarters you notice a large pile of gift boxes... each box has been tagged with each of the legends.
It seems that Raven has been out and about and has discovered something wonderful. He writes in a letter attached to each gift:
<center>i present to you a gift
something to bring you new years lift
each is different and unique
which can cause change that you seek
these are gifts you must use with care
because reversal is none awares
-raven
It seems that this gift is for you and your legend:
</center>
(to open your gifts please post under this posts that you want to open your gift... then you can rp out when you see what you get, and you can decide to use your gifts or trade them with other legend owners. =D)

HQ was quiet and peaceful, and Neith was glad she'd been right with her timing. It was early morning, after they'd been at the market, and Aquene was half-asleep. So it was Neith's idea to stop there, see if there was anyone to talk to, and to get a cup of coffee. She hadn't expected to see a little black gift for Aquene...
"What's this?"
"Is..." Aquene told Neith sleeply, tugging on the wrapping paper.
((Oh, and open please! ^-^))

"Go on." Faevan parked her car by the curb, checking the address again. "This is it."
Prana nodded her head, getting out of the car and carefully carrying a small cardboard box with little holes in it. A muffled "ribbit" drifted out of one of the holes, and she left it gently on the doorstep with a smile, turning back to the car. On top of the box, she left a note. It fluttered in the breeze as the Legend and her Guardian drove away into the afternoon.
Hi Aquene,
I caught these yesterday when I was out with my Mom, and thought you might like to have one. Please take good care of him.
