I haven't seen any "House" threads at all, so I wanted to create one. House is about a Guy named Dr. Gregory House, and he is the main character. He works at a hosital, so you can guess it's one of those hospital shows. It's funny because he is always sarcastic and stuff, and sometime sit's emotional. But I know it's gonna be canceled soon.
Does anyone else like it?

House is a great hospital drama with a twist, sarcsism and comedy all coming from the leader, Dr. Gregory House (Hugh Laurie). Omar Epps (Dr. Taylor Foreman) had a previous acting gig as a Dr. Dennis Grant in another hospital drama, ER. Although Hugh Laurie puts on an American accent, critics think his role as Dr. Greg House is a "memorable" acting moment of his.

Dr. House and his team of handpicked experts all specialize in diagnosing their very ill-fated patient and solving the very mysterious and critical case of the unknown sickness. Only the most serious and unheard of cases of sicknesses go in their direction. The team will make the diagnosis, legal-or-not and just about everyhting they can think of to save their patients lives and not have to put another one in a bodybag. But through all of this drama, Dr. House and the crew still keep their comical side and crack a few jokes, to entertain themselves or their patients, but that's just how Dr. House is.

House's other good friend Dr. James Wilson (Robert Sean Leonard), an oncology specialist with whom Dr. House goes to and consults on a daily term.

DAMNIT! I thought you were talking about the movie. xd

Honestly, I've never seen ER so I'm not in a position to compare the two. I can say, however, that the characterization of Dr. House in particular is witty, biting and brilliant. I haven't laughed this hard in a long time, and that's including actual comedies. There is certainly science and drama involved, but my favourite aspect of the show is definitely the character Dr. House (and to a lesser extent his friend Dr. Wilson, as they banter together and it is wonderful). My recommendation would be to give it a shot and see if you like the format. I certainly did.

Dr. Wilson: "That smugness of yours really is an attractive quality."
Dr. House: "Thank you. It was either that or get my hair highlighted. Smugness is easier to maintain."

my bf and i watch House! i've never seen a show like this before, and i don't watch many medical shows, but House is different. Dr. House is a fabulous jerk, and i mean that in a good way. smile he may not be big on social graces, but his mind is quick and his brilliance saves lives that no one else could save.

heh, he's similar to snape, isn't he? an older, snarky yet brilliant man, who is perhaps nursing a bit of loneliness that he doesn't let on about. well, i can pretend that they're secretly lonely and wishing some nice young woman like you or me would show up and give them some lovin'. wink

i shan't let this thread die, either. moo. and i'm watching Becker right now (it's on in my area at 1:30am, after the late late show, which is on after letterman on cbs...) and i realized.. i like shows with crabby doctors. biggrin any of y'all ever watch Becker? it keeps me company at 2am. oh, and Linda is hot.
