FAQ
1. What do I need to do to take part?
On February 12th-14th, 2005, unequip all of your items, and save the changes.
2. What's it going to cost me?
It costs nothing. I don't want donations for this. Basically all you have to do is get naked when nakie day arrives, and get as many other people as possible to get nakie too. You can use one of the siggies here to spread the word, or make your own siggy. You could also spread the word in any other ways you can think of (but please don't spam or send chain letters, they are against the rules/TOS).
3. Nakie nakie?
Nakie, as in 'only wearing your grey underwear'. You have to unequip all your items, but the grey undies don't count as items, as they are free and you cannot equip/unequip them. We want to show that we're all about the forums, not the items though, so you can't "wear nothing but my one fav item", you have to wear nothing (except, obviously, your grey undies). You can have no items equipped. (Coloured underwear are items by the the way. That means you can't wear them on nakie day).
4. Can I hotlink your banner?
The banners provided come from many different sources, so I don't know how much strain their image hosting site can take. Basically, yes, hotlink the images if you must, but we'd love you more if you hosted them yourselves xp
5. Do I have to be an oldbie of Gaia?
NO! This is part of the reason for this. You can be a newbie, and oldbie, a whatever-bie. I don't care. It's for the same cause. Just spread the word, and let us all be happy together! biggrin
6. We already have nekkid days every week.
This is meant to be something that crosses forum lines. It's supposed to stretch from the farthest corners of art arena, all the way to anime/manga, out to GD and ED, and even out there in the guilds. I want everyone in on this.
7. Why Feb 12-14?
I am not changing the date because that would mean remaking all the banners, and getting the word out to all the people who expect it to be the 12-14th. Nsudino had originally planned to have it on Valentine's day, but thought that wouldn't work, instead, he planned it for the friday before, figuring that there would be plenty of people on to join in. He decided to continue it into the weekend so that everyone who wants to participate gets a chance to.
8. Wait, hold on, why are you doing this?
We're getting nakie to show that we're all equal. That Gaia is about friends and chatting, not materialism. That no matter who you are, where your from, how long you've been on Gaia, how much gold you have, what items you have or anything else, you can still have a bunch of fun on Gaia. It's an enjoyable two day break from greed and item-lust, which everyone can take part in, from the newest newb through to the prominent oldbies who everyone has heard of.
9. There have been Nakie Days before, set up by other people.
Yep! This is not my idea. I'm just continuing a thread made by nsudino. He was inspired by a picture The_Robin drew of one of the the original Nakie Days. Tool, Feline Oddity, Sylia Stingray and The Goddess of Poison were the organisers of the previous Nakie Days. Give credit to them please!

11. There are anti gaia nakie day threads!!
Yes. Some people are choosing to participate in events such as "wear as many layers as possible day" or "be dressed on nakie day". That is their own personal choice, and you shouldn't flame or spam their threads. I don't want conflict with these people. Leave them be, and hopefully they'll leave us be. Please note, you cannot be involved with both GND and anti-GND events (simply because you cannot wear clothing and be naked at the same time), if you are on the GND participants list, and want to join one of these events instead, post and I will remove you from the list. Thank you.
12. So you're going to be sitting around in the nude on Gaia a whole weekend? O.o
No, we're getting our Avvies nekkid, we're not actually stripping in real life xd
13. The people wearing clothing, we should, like, flame them and stuff, right?
No! The whole point of GND is to respect everyone and show equality. Disrespecting someone because of what they're wearing goes against the whole idea. People who choose to wear clothing on Nakie Day should have their choice respected, and should not be bothered by people who will be nekkid.

Sorry! I try to respond to everyone who requires a personal response, but sometimes I don't have time. If I missed something you wanted to tell me, please try again sweatdrop I really am sorry, no offence to anyone I accidentally miss. Also, please note that despite the fact that I do try and get online everyday, sometimes I don't manage it, please give me time to get back to you. Posting five joint requests in a row won't get me online, so it won't get your name on the list any quicker.
15. You say Gaia's not about the avatars, but it is. The avatars are what makes Gaia special!
Yes, the avatars and items are an important and special part of Gaia, we're not saying there shouldn't be avatars, we're not saying items can't be fun, but we are saying you shouldn't judge someone by what they're wearing. Just because someone doesn't have an angelic scarf doesn't mean they don't have a good point. Just because someone isn't wearing the latest fashionable item doesn't mean they aren't good fun to talk to. Just because someone is nakie doesn't mean you should disregard them as a n00b. People should be judged by the content of their posts, not by the items they're wearing.
16. Will Gaia Nakie Day will have its own subforum? Will there be special items given out on Nakie Day?
No. Special subfourums and new items are only made in connection with official Gaia events. The Admins have nothing to do with the running of Nakie Day. Nakie Day is run by normal Gaia members like you, so we have no power to create subfourums or items.
17. So, what are you actualyy going to do after unequipping all of your items?
You don't have to do anything, and the chances are some participants will just go about their normal everyday gaian lives only Nakie, but some participants will be coming here to this thread to chat, hang out and meet other Nakie Days supporters, wich will hopefully be quite fun ^^
18. This seems really insulting to the admins. It's like you don't appriciate all the work they put into making the items.
Nakie Day isn't meant to insult the Admins in any way, and no Admins have contacted us to say that they do have problems with Nakie Day. If it does insult them, then I am truely sorry, but if not, you really shouldn't be putting words into their mouths should you?
Anyway, Nakie Day shouldn't be insulting towards the effort they've put into the items. To refer back to FAQ #15, it's not that we don't like the items, it's that we don't think people should be judged by them. Personally I think the items are really cool. All I'm saying, is just because someone is wearing an item I like, doesn't mean I like them, and just because someone isn't wearing an item I like, doesn't mean I don't like them. You shouldn't judge someone by them items they have equipped.
19. Want to cyber?
NO! I will not have this kind of thing in my thread! Anyone seen posting this sort of thing will have their name removed from the list, will be reported and the offending post will be deleted. Cybering, pornographic pictures, etc are all against the Gaia Terms of Service, and could get you banned. Take it someplace else, please. stressed
