On what will the movie be released?
The movie will be released on BOTH PSP and DVD. Japan will also have a theatrical release. It is unknown, at this stage, for America. The movie will also be presented (in it's complete form) at the Venice festival this year.
Lenght of the movie?
Originally suposed to be a small project timing around 20 minutes, the movie now is 100 minutes WITH the credit roll.

Cloud : Cloud once again becomes the hero. Running "Strife Delivery", he has been travelling around the world on the Fenrir, his new motorcycle. Never living at the same place for long, he receives a call from Tifa which will lead him to new adventures.
Tifa : Taking care of orphans while running the rebuilt 7th Heaven bar. She has been first seen in a fight with Loz, one of the SHM (Silver haired man) .
Aerith : Seen in 2 scenes, one being a flashback of her burial and one where she is standing back to back with Cloud, in a white area covered with yellow flower. ---&Aerith is seen talking to Cloud in the field of flowers. She provides mental support for Cloud. She heals Cloud's body and mind at the end and is seen leaving the church with Zack.? <---------
Barret : Leaving Marlene to the good cares of Tifa, Barret travels the world in search for a new energy to replace Mako. His arm has also changed for a fully fingered hand which can, if needed, transform into a weapon.
Vincent : Vincent has been travelling the world during the past 2 years, rediscovering it. He has aquired knowledge about the new threat and knows what are the SHM's motives. -----& He informs Cloud of what Geostigma is, why are the SHM looking for "Mother" and who is this "Mother". <-------
Nanaki : Nanaki has been seen running past Barret while in Midgar, aiming his attack to a huge monster, known as Bahamut-Sin and seen in the Sierra (Cid's new ship). Nanaki is also seen paired with Cait Sith.
Yuffie : Just like Nanaki, Yuffie appears in Midgar, parachuting from the sky, ready to attack Bahamut and asking for who messed with her materias.
Cid : Cid, like the previous 2, also appears in Midgar to fight off Bahamut. He is seen swinging his spear to disperse a buch of diving shadowcreeper. Note that his spear is not the Venus Gospel ( sad ).
Cait Sith At long last, Cait Sith has been confirmed in the movie. What will he do? Why is he still as his robotic toy? Will the man behind him appear? Nothing is known as of now. He also dropped his moogle toy and now prefer to ride, Nanaki's back ?! (A.N - Nanaki looks like he wants to eat him O_o" lol )
Marlene : Marlene is living with Tifa and helps take care of the children. She is often seen with Denzel, to whom she appears very attached. Caught in between the battle between Tifa and Loz, she finds herself kidnapped.
Denzel : Living with Tifa, Denzel is one of the children affected with Geostigma. Denzel goes willingly with Yazoo and falls under Kadaj's control. He looks up to Cloud as a role model.
Rude / Reno : The reason of their apperance in the movie is unsure. They are seen in various scenes which can lead into confusion. When in one scene they are seen side by side with the WCP, in other ones they are seen talking to Cloud or fighting the SHM. Are they both still loyal to Shinra or are they working independently?
Elena : Elena makes a very brief apperance at the end saving her boss. For the most part of the movie, Elena and Tseng are captured by Kadaj, Yazoo and Loz. At the time of their capture, they were searching for Jenova's head.
Tseng : Along with Elena, Tseng makes a very brief appreance at the end of the film. While trying to find Jenova's head, he and Elena were captured and interrogated for information. Vincent takes care of them after they get away from Kadaj.
Zack : Zack is shown in flashbacks, only from Cloud's point of view though. He is seen in the truck with Cloud on the way to Midgar. -------& Zack, along with Aerith, make an apperance at the end of the movie. Zack states that Cloud is too large to be adopted and that he has no place with him and Aerith. In the Church, he waves to Cloud before leaving with Aerith. <------------
WCP : He is requesting for Cloud to help him and is also seen talking to Kadaj, who also bows down in front of him. -----& WCP is now known to be Rufus Shinra, who escpaed from the WEAPON attack on the Shinra building. He is set to right the wrongs Shinra has committed. Rufus is also a victim of Geostigma. <--------
Kadaj : Leader of the SHM, Kadaj is the youngest one of the group and weilds a double bladed sword. His sword skills are incredible and he has a resemblance to Sephiroth. Kadaj is also trying to find Mother and summons Bahamut near the end. --------& In the final battle, Kadaj basically fuses with Jenova's head and sacrifices his body to Sephiroth. <------------
Yazoo : Out of the 3 SHM, Yazoo is the one from who we have the less information. He weilds a gunblade called "Velvet nightmare" and is seen in scenes fighting Cloud. -----& He also calls Cloud, brother <-------
Loz : Loz is the tallest of the SHM. He is considered a crybaby and is seen in fist fights with Tifa and later on, with Cloud. His attack speed is incredible. He uses a weapon called "Dual Hound" which is both a shield and a gun.
Sephiroth : He is seen in the trailer, in the Nibelheim on fire flashback. ------& He has also been seen, descending toward Cloud, with his masamune drawn. Can he really be back ?? <---------
Storyline:
Though the storyline of the movie is not confirmed, according to the various trailers and the special 20 minutes screenings, it is as though:
--------& The entire group is on their own. Tifa is working at the new 7th heaven which is also where Cloud runs the strife delivery services. Under the same roof, Tifa takes care of young kids who became orphans after the meteor events. One of the kid, Denzel, is affected with Geostigma, a new disease which plagues a lot of children. Tifa receives a call and dispatches it to Cloud, who isn't living there anymore. Cloud receives Tifa's message, requesting him to go to Healin and meet Reno. Once leaving, he is pursued by 2 of the SHM who wants to know where he hid "mother" while the 3rd one is on the phone. Fighting them off, Cloud finally escapes them and arrives to Healin, where he meets the WCP. Both men talk and the WCP informs Cloud that he needs protection from a new group, who's leader is named Kadaj. After hinting toward Cloud's past with Shinra and asking him what he wants for those kids Tifa takes care of, Cloud accepts to help and embarks in a new journey.
During this time, The SHM are on their side, taking childrens, affected with Geostigma, promissing them to heal them.Denzel follows one of the kid and in another corner of the city, Marlene is kidnapped after one of the SHM (loz) defeats Tifa, and brought to the ancient forest, where the other children are.The SHM are planning another reunion and needs "mother" in order to do so. They promise the kids that with her, they will be healed and then, they can all strike back at the planet for plaguing them with such an horrible disease.

What is Geostigma?
Geostigma, also known as Star Scar Syndrome, is a new disease mostly affecting childrens. However, this disease can affect adults as well. It leaves the person weak and in pain and leads to unconsciousness and death. It also leaves dark blueish marks on the skin.
------& Geostigma is the reaction in between the person's spirit energy and Jenova cells present in their body. As of why are the children affect by this is unknown, however many theory exist about this phenomenon,<--------
Theory on Geostigma's origin

--------& Geostigma works much in the same way that Chemotherapy does. It is not a disease in itself, and there for not contageus at all. Only those with Jenova cells are capable of contracting it.
Vincent explains that Geostigma is the result of the body overcompensating for it's unwelcomed guest. The symptoms include extreme weakness, bouts of swoonage, and mysterius bruising of the flesh, as well as deterioriation of softer tissues ((Eyes mainlly, as many children have bandages over them))
Chemo therapy is when you bombard cancer cells with radiation and chemicals in hopes of destroying them before they can multiply. Geostigma is in much the same way, with a persons inner spirit/lifestream attack Jenova cells. The result of both is extreme weakening, and in many youths, death.
Squall of SeeD provided an interesting theory in the children who have contracted Geostigma. He suggests that all of those who were in contact with the Lifestream became infected with Jenova Cells, the lifestream acting as a catalyst for Jenova Cells at the time. Though there is only theoretical proof, it seems the most soundest in my opinion. <--------

Will there be any summons?
Bahamut-Sin is confirmed to be summonned. No other summon confirmed as of now.
Why is everyone wearing ribbon?
(Yes, EVERYONE has a ribbon, see quote below) It appears to be for either of 2 reasons. Either it is a memorial to Aeris, which i believe it to be. Either it is for the status-ailment effect. However, why would it be pink if for the status ailment? razz

Then what is Last order? (OVA)
Last order is a 30 minute long anime featuring the cast of FF7. Nothing much is known aside that it appears to be Sephiroth's last order. That anime is available in the "ultimate limited edition" of Advent children. (there are 3 releases: the normal one, the limited one and the ultimate one, packed with "a gazillion goodies" (and also limited) )
