How it Started (Cont.)
(Ema: dark red)
Chaco stared up at the ceiling as the woman asked him about his parents, "Well, Mum is off at the Boundless Estate, and Uncle Kunny's around somewhere... But neither of them can help me with this. Uhm..." He turned his head as he heard some footsteps aproaching, along with idle conversation, "Uhm..."
The door was pushed open and two people stepped through. A brown haired teen, and a kitsune child, who, while his hair was normally a bright orange color, now seemed to be colored blue... For some incrediably odd reason. The two of them stopped talking and focused in on the girl. The elder boy cussed slightly under his breath, the raised his voice, "Chaco, you'd better not have brought yet another thief. That girl last night was a pain."
The blue haired fox boy started to open his mouth when his ears twitched. He shut it and sneered, "I'll get the door." With that he left the room and headed toward the front door. He yanked the door open, and stared out at Rayne, "...Good timing... I guess... The chocolate freak is in the living room, if you want to know."
His focus then shifted to the deer boy, and he narrowed his eyes. Oh good grief. If Chaco had summoned this one here... It had to be Kunny's influence. "They're in the living room. Feh." With the the kitsune turned on his heel and retreated back into the mansion.
-----
:she was just about to ask him why he was "uhm"-ing when two intrusting characters barged through the front door and waltzed into the living room, one accusing her of being a theif?:
"Excuse me, but I have never stolen from anyone a day in my life!" she said, her voice breaking with anger. Stuck in some house with weird people and a little boy that said uhm..
"What is going on!?" the sound of her voice rising during the question, her stature obviously demanding an answer, and soon..
-----
"Uhm..." Chaco said again, "Uncle Kunny can you--" the chocolate boy began as Rayne entered. When he spotted the woman, his face spilt into a grin, "Rayne-sa!" He moved over towards the woman, "I didn't think you'd come today. Thank you!" Having her here would make it easier to speak. He turned back towards Kunny, "Uncle Kunny, can you get me... How about Strawberry? She'd be good for this." He grinned cheekily as his uncle scowled at him, then moved into the lobby. He turned to look at the girl again, "I'll explain it all in one minute." He nodded silently at Lividie as the woman entered the room, "Hey, Miss Lividie."
-----
"Okay, sure, take your time explaining." she said sarcastically, she was feeling rather overwhelmed and frankly a little scared as a girl with a dagger headband and belt had just waved at her. She liked to feel confident in where she was and that she was safe, and right now, she felt neither of those things and mad at herself for feeling so insecure...
---
"Little ones?" she asked quietly hearing some woman say that phrase to Chaco.
"What do you mean by little ones?" her face was slightly pale as she asked the question again, noticing a blanketed bundle in the woman's arm...
-----
Chaco was about to answer Rayne's question, when the girl critisized him. He blushed heavily and turned back to her, "Ah... Sorry... Uhm... Yes, well..." He waved an arm to take in the whole of the room, "Please take a seat Miss... Uhm...?" His head turned as another woman entered the room, probably another he had sent a note to. He nodded at her, and hoped that his uncle would hurry up in bringing Strawberry in.
-----
"I'm Ema." she said firmly, annoyed with all the people bustling around and still being confused as to why she was there.. nevertheless she walked over to a forest-green leather arm chair and sat down in it, deciding to wait patiently, nervously, and quietly.. after all, her face still was a little pale.
-----
Chaco breathed out, trying to regain his senses. He was incredibly shaken at the moment, what with one of the women being absolutely hateful toward him. But he'd have to work around that. "I... uh... asked you both here because I want to ask a favor of you." He ran a hand quickly through his hair before continuing, "I wanted to know if you would take care of a child for me. I mean, uhm... If you would each take care of a seperate child."
...He was leaving too much out. They'd never accept, at this rate. "I mean... Uhm, see, I'm part of a race called the Sin'aeis. I'm the last breeder of my kind, and I was brought into this world with one purpose. To bring back my people. Our kingdom was going to be destroyed and... Uhm..." he paused, "Anyway, I recently bound souls to foods in this would, and I'm looking for caretakers, as such.... Uh..." He was forgetting a whole lot, this time. But his mind wasn't working properly.
-----
"Huh, well that makes a lot of sense." Ema said, not at all sarcastically, just flatly as she thought over the newly gathered information..
"Breeder, what does that mean? And how do you attach souls to food?" saying just a few of her many questions, she slowed down.. it was obvious the poor boy was extremely nervous and she hadn't been very kind to him, well considering the emotional stress he put her in...
"Alright, I'll accept a child." she said quietly, it would be alot of effort, but she must have been picked for some reason, and it seemed like other young women were accepting too.... it couldn't be that hard...
