Another Century's Episode ( Japanese Site Only )

A PlayStation 2 game, based on many Real Type Robots, many of which you know from Banpresto's Super Robot Wars games, ( if you're into these stuff atleast. >_< ) have been brought into a high speed battling, 3D fighting game, with great details on the mechs, their movements, the environment, and more. For those of you that are farmiliar with the Armored Core series from From Software, they are the ones that have created the great 3D, detailed, high speed battles within this game as well.

With the best of Banpresto and From Software combined, they have come up with this game that is said to be released on January 27th in Japan.

The casting mechs in this game are from...

Aura Battle Dunbine
Heavy Metal L-GAIM
Mobile Suit Z Gundam
Blue Comet SPT Layzner
Metal Armor Dragonar
Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counter Attack
New Mobile Report Gundam W
Brain Powered
Nadesico the Movie: The Prince of Darkness
and some Banpresto Original mechs.

The game was of course made to have them match their respective size, so the Dunbine units will be of course, very small compared to all the other units, and there will be some enemy units that will be insanely huge compared to what you pilot.

More information will come from request. Also, if this topic is the first of the bunch, and gets enough people, I'll make this an Official Thread. Until there's further notice though, it'll just remain as it is for now.
Found a 11 minute movie that I can't watch this late, so just posting the URL for those that are interested, and for myself as well, tomorrow.

no man I did not know bout that
but that's cool though
FromSoftware has another game coming out for XBOX called Metal Wolf Chaos as well.
Sounds cool. Is it coming to AMerica?
Poor Dunbine.......it stands only 4.4 meters........it wouldn't be so sad if Garland(Megazone23) was in the game too, but Dunbine is gonna be TINY compared to these Heavy Metals, Mobile Suits, Metal Armors, Aesties(Well, maybe no SO tiny compared to Aesties), and Organic Machines.......well, at least it's tiny. Nothing was scarier than Shou Zama at 150 morale in Bilbine in SRW4.

That, I'm not really sure, but people have said that they still might have a chance of them bringing it to the US, since some of the mech series in there have been brought to the US before. No one knows for sure yet.
Let's see... no time left today, but.. I forgot whether if this was the game where it was 2 Player or not.. Lots of games out there, I get confuzzled. x_x I'll check later. Until then, this is just a bump.
Generally, Banpresto doesn't do much over here(I hear they've done at least ONE game in the US). I can't blame them, as only a small number of the populace generally knows of the stuff they work with (Mechs like Metal Armor Dragonar, King of Braves GaoGaiGar, Mazinger, and Getter). This game leans towards a lot of things that have been serialized in the US. Gundam is a hit here, Aura Battler has been released on DVD (Of which I have nine volumes), Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam is(has?) being(been?) translated and is to be released in a full season Box Set, Nadesico has been out for a long time, and Brain Powered has also seen release. The only concerns here are for Heavy Metal L.Gaim, Blue Comet SPT Layzner, and Metal Armor Dragonar(Which I hear suffered in it's anime runs). I can see the Metals coming, but even MY knowledge is limited about SPT Layzner, so the average mecha fan would probably know zilch. I'd say the odds are 2 percent it will be released here, and thats about 1.9 percent greater than the odds of a typical SRW game getting released in America. I don't mean to dampen anybodys hopes, but I just think that we shouldn't get worked up.
Just checked. There is a VS Mode in this game. o_o
The saddest part is that one shot from Wing Zero Custom's Twin Buster Rifle would tear any of those apart (with the exception of the I-Field of the RX-93).

But thanks for teh info. I MUST have that game...
If only I owned a Ps2. gonk
I love mechs and From Software.
I'm still undecided on the game myself.

Cloud Breaker looks like it fell out of an Armored Core game though.

Yeah, I wonder how some of the things would be like in the game. More likely it'd have high power or something, but probably with a huge delay or something, that most opponents would dodge them or something, if possible. Otherwise, it'd be over powering most things, just by that. Of course, none of us can really tell yet since no one has the game, but I'll be importing this soon enough. Of course, I'll fill you guys in on what info I can give you when I get the game.

Nah, I'm sure there will be something to contend with Wing Zero's Twin Buster Rifle, either that or they'll totally snuff it. Of course then again they made instead just offer Wing Gundam in it's stead, you still get the powerful Buster Rifle, but have to deal with the three shot charge limit.
Wing Zero Custom could fire the Twin Buster rifle basically like a normal beam rifle in Real Robot Regiment and stronger shots were reserved for charge attacks and its super move. I'm halfway expecting the same thing here.
