<center>::BREEDING INFO::
So, you wanna have kids, eh?</center>
There comes a point when the lin looks at her ki and says, "Damn, I wanna have your baby." Except..more romantic. This is where I will explain the process. No, not that process, you perv. I meant about how to arrange for breeding and the cost and all that wonderful stuff.
<center>:uNFing:</center>
First of all, I'll say this right now...only a male/female pair can produce offspring. That said, I'll explain mating. Two adults that have been RPed as having a relationship can, when the breeding spots are open, opt to have offspring. Of course, two Ki-lin can be mated without having offspring, too. I'll just need to see this relationship RPed out before updating certs.
A mated pair can be male/female, male/male, or female/female. As I said, only male/female pairings can have natural offspring. However, On the rare occasion, abandoned eggs (either wild or from owned pairs) will be available for adoption.
<center>:Having Babies:</center>
For a mated pair to have babies (I'm obviously talking about male/female pairings right now), you have to have three things for your Ki-lin: the must belong to a clan, they must have been in the relationship for two months, and the owners of the Ki-lin must have the funds to breed their pair before they try for a breeding spot.
Now, to obtain a breeding spot, your Ki-lin must have been an adult for at least a mont, have a mate (both must agree to have bebehs), and then...there's the waiting list. I'll probably have the breeding fairly open for starters, but that's subject to change.
Ki-lin can only mate (this goes for adopting, too) twice in their lifetime and have 2-3 eggs in a clutch. Also, they mate for life, so..once you've declared a mate for your Ki-lin (provided they're elligible to have one), they can only breed/adopt with that Ki-lin. We don't raise sluts up in here. Oh, and, goddammit people, don't RP them actually breeding. It breaks the site's PG-13 rating, it's icky, and it's tasteless. Don't do it. RP the relationship if you want...don't RP breeding.
<center>:The Skinny:</center>
I know what you're thinking. Did she fire twenty-two bullets or did she fire twenty-three? .... Actually, you're probably wondering what the costs are and if owners get to keep the eggs or give them to people. So, here's how it works: as I said before, lins will have 2-3 eggs in a clutch and the shop retains the right to keep one egg from every clutch. If there's only two eggs, sorry...you'll have to choose who gets it. In the super-rare-omg-it-might-never-happen event that there are four eggs, the store will take two from the clutch.
Can you sell the eggs, auction them, or give them to friends? Yes, you can, however. You can't do it outside the shop. If you're selling an egg or auctioning it, the shop will handle the sales and give you your share of it. Owners will get 70% of the sell from the eggs from auctions and 50% from flatsales. You can also donate your eggs to the shop for flatsale stock for a 50% discount on the total cost of breeding. As for giving them to friends, there is a small fee for transfer of ownership (this applies to unhatched eggs only!) that will cover the cert set-up.
Yes, I did fire twenty-three bullets and, yes, I am going to eat my pickle.
<center>:Adopting:</center>
Occasionally the rare occurance of abandoned eggs happens. Sometimes these eggs are abandoned by unkown wild parents or sometimes a known mated pair opts to give their egg away. When this happens, I'll give a chance for same-gender mated pairs to try to aquire one of these eggs to claim it as their own, though the same rules of breeding apply to adopted eggs, too, with a few minor differences.
In the event of an adoption oppurtunity, the prospective parents have to do an rp situation. Afterall, they're finding the abandoned egg they're adopting or having it given to them. There's two ways to do this:
One, there will be an RP event announced that any same-gender couple looking to adopt can come try for a clutch of eggs. The number of eggs to find is random and can be one or as many as three. If there are two or more eggs found, then the shop will take one egg for shop stock, marking the parents of it as the adopters, and the remaining egg(s) will be given to the owners. If there's only one egg found, then you'll have to choose which owner gets to lay claim to it.
Two, should there be a mated pair that is owned and wishes to give one of their clutchess to a same-gender couple, they can either give the clutch to the shop to let us decide who gets the clutch or they can name a couple and transfer the parentage. I don't expect this to be a common occurance, nor should it be. Adoptions are rare so don't expect the shop to allow parenting transfers often and they are expensive because of this. Your Ki-lin will be giving up their entire clutch to another couple. You can't say, "this couple gets this egg and that person gets that egg." Sorry, it's either all or none and it must be done through the shop.

<center>::CLAN INFO::
So, you wanna join a clan, eh?</center>
Long ago, the Four Gods of Life came together for a meeting. They were not creators of life, no that was someone else's department. These four were over the four main paths of life: Honour, Wisdom, Strength, and Trickery. With humans becoming numerous in the world (someone was working overtime in the procreation department), the Four realized they needed to delegate some of the duties (and free up Friday for poker night) .
They called in the most noble of creatures, the Ki-lin, and explained to them the situation. Upon the agreement of the Ki-lin, the Four entrusted them with the duties of the Four Paths. To make sure the paths remained pure, the Ki-lin split into four clans, each taking up the duties and traditions of one of the paths.
<center>:The Clans:</center>
<img src="http://jynk.talesofglory.net/kirin/gods_npcs/Thibaud.jpg" align="left">North
When the Four Gods of Life sought out the Ki-lin to uphold their Paths, the Northern avatar, Balraj the Dragon, chose the noblest clan, the most honourable, to be his heralds. The clan is now led by Thibaud, inheriting the clan from his father. As leader of the Northern Clan, he also sits at the head of the Council of Four, leading the peoples of the Ki-lin. The Northerners are honourable and tend to be the leaders when there are Ki-lin tribes. They are also almost always the embassadors in Ki-lin affairs. In following the Path of Honour, they are granted the three Gifts of Air, which are taught to them by the dragon familiars sent to them by Balraj. Only those deemed worthy by Balraj can gain a familiar to learn the Gifts from and only those Ki-lin that have proven themselves to Thibaud in all ways of the Path of Honour will be granted membership to this clan.
<img src="http://jynk.talesofglory.net/kirin/gods_npcs/Cato.jpg" align="left">West
Seger the Tortoise, avatar of the West, was the God that chose this clan as his herald. They were the regarded as the most intelligent of the Ki-lin and, therefore, the perfect heralds of the Path of Wisdom. Led now by Cato, who advises the Council of Four, this clan long settled by the waters of the valley where they are close to the extensions of Seger, little turtle familiars. Often placed in advisor postions, the members of this clan will travel with embassadors or support tribe leaders. There are times when they, themselves, are the embassadors or tribe leaders, but usually they tend to let others lead while they give directions. As part of the Path of Wisdom, they're granted the three Gifts of Water, but only to the Ki-lin that Seger finds intelligent enough to be taught by a familiar.
<img src="http://jynk.talesofglory.net/kirin/gods_npcs/Kincaid.jpg" align="left">East
Kincaid now leads the Easterners, heralds of the Path of Strength. This clan was chosen long ago by Maelgwyn the Lion, avatar of the East. He taught them the Path of Strength and gave them familiars to teach the Gifts of the Earth to those proven to be the strongest of the clan. Easterners tend to be warriors for Ki-lin tribes and, as such, Kincaid sits on the Council of Four as the Chief Warrior. They are often tribe leaders as much as Northerners are, and always are the guards for embassadors. Though they are warriors, they are also healers and this Gift is something only members of this Clan can have, making them very respected by other clans for more than just their fighting skills.
<img src="http://jynk.talesofglory.net/kirin/gods_npcs/Doran.jpg" align="left">South
Rhianwen the Phoenix, the only Goddess of the Four and the avatar of the South, sought out the most cunning Ki-lin to be her heralds for the Path of Trickery. Led by Doran now, this clan often are the scapegoats, jesters, and pranksters of the Ki-lin. True, they oten do the things they're accused of, but most are not actively bad, they just do bad things. Rhianwen gave the clan familiars to teach them the three Gifts of Fire, but only allows the most cunning of her heralds to be taught. The Southerners often do not help in the politics of the Ki-lin, though Doran is on the Council of Four. They are entertainers and tricksters, not warriors or leaders. Although their wit and intelligence nearly rivals the Westerners, they rarely will offer advice, prefering to be amused by the struggles of others.
