Welcome to Gaia! ::

Hey all, and welccme to the thread you've always wanted, a place to discuss the hundreds of novels, and comics in the Star Wars Universe.
Everyone loves Star Wars! Except people who don't. But they are lame and should get better taste in cool stuff.

heres to that!!!
Yay! Star Wars!

i haven't read that many SW novels tho. i remember reading the Jedi Academy trilogy and that one Thrawn trilogy by Kevin J Anderson and Timothy Zahn, among a few other books, but they were all recommended to me by my sister. (ah yes....i'm quite lucky to have her - almost everything SW in the house that i get to read or watch belongs to her. she's got the movies and books, i've got the cds)

anyone know any good comics tho? the only one i've read is Union, and that's cuz my sister owns it.
I'm afraid the only ones that caught my eye and then kept my attention were the Xwing novels, and the later novels written by Stackpole and Allston... although I have (since reading them) gathered a few more Allston novels...
I've read all of the NJO series, i thought they were ok. i've read all of timothy zahns books, some clone wars, and some others. Ive also read the Jedi Apprentice And jedi Quest by Jude Watson. Those were pretty good!!!
Tim Zahn is a great author!

I luv Mara Jade! (And all the other main characters, but she's EU)

NJO is kind of, no, really, getting on my nerves tho... it is so depressing so far.
I cannot stop reading Star Wars, as Pheonix here knows well. One might almost call me a collector of SW books. I've even read (but don't own) the infamous Splinter of the Mind's Eye.

And check out the newest book to be announced, which takes place after the NJO:

star wars rocks, any of you read kevin anderson`s jedi apprentice trilogy

oh and sorry for the panties i like looking hot
KJA's JA trilogy was pretty good, i dunno why everyone knocks him.

Zahn is undoubtedly the best author ever, but Stackpole is damn good as well.

As for Dark Nest I: The Joiner King...that cover looks so freakin awesome...

I'm currently reading the NJO, but my library system takes FOREVER to get them to me..

i just finished Agents of Chaos: Jedi Eclipse.

Does anyone know if Recovery is available as a short story within a paperback ( like Fool's Bargain was in the Survivor's Quest paperback?)
Triple posted?!?!?!?
Deleted this... sorry, my comp is wacko and double posted

AGH! scream My library doesn't even have the NJO!! So I have to save my $ and borrow some from my friend... am somewhere in middle of Dark Tide II, though I know a lot of what happens later, kinda on hiatus cuz I am readin the unabridged Les Miz.

KJA is good... but Tim Zahn biggrin is better. Other good SW authors: James Kahn, Troy Denning, Roger McBride Allen, Kathy Tyers, Barbara Hambly (I like her writing style... now if only she had never introduced Callie...).

The cover (Joiner King) looks amazing! But Han looks so old....
you have to realize, NJO was 25 yrs after endor...so yeah, hes in his 50s now

Crimson Empire. That comic is amazing beyond description. It's about the Emperor's Royal Guards.
Originally, it was a bunch of average length comics, but it was compacted into a graphic novel.

I've read pretty much all the SW books, (excluding the prequels, because they suck) except for a few I just can't find - The Thrawn Trilogy, mainly. I've read a few short stories about Thrawn, and I know that he is Captain Badass, but I just can't find the books. sad

I've also read all the NJO books, except the last one. I really didn't like how the author wrote Boba Fett.
I suppose I should finish it, though.
