Known Gaia Housing issues
Please make sure your browser is fully updated, your graphics card drivers are fully updated, and that you have the newest version of Shockwave installed, before reporting in this thread.
Please give the following when reporting unresolved issues:

How many times has it occured:

Red = Unresolved
Orange = Confirmed
Blue = Workaround
Green = Fixed
Grey = Old/Obsolete
Images not loading ("Importing" and "loading" issues)
Many images, both in housing and in the new stores, are not loading. This may be a continuing problem with the graphics servers.
Avatars not loading (shadows)
Users are reporting that avatars (and in some cases, items) are not showing their full image, but their shadow effects.
Valid avatars for the housing system end in t=XXXXX.png
Invalid avatars don't have the t= at the end.
To find your avatar's filepath, right click on the image and click "Properties".
If you have an invalid avatar (or a friend does), they need to resave their avatar to be compatible with the Housing program.
For the above bug, please list the location you are experiencing the issues (edit mode, view mode, view mode [from profile]) and what items (if any) are not showing up.
Multiple of one item placed in the room will cause suitcase errors
When placing multiple of one item in the house, saving, and then going back to the suitcase, only one of said item shows as "saved in house". clicking on other item or the same item to remove from suitcase will cause the error: An error has occured, please reload your broswer & try again. this will be fixed shortly. -kaia9
White walls + save button only loading
Contains the "This Shockwave movie has errors that have cause playback problems. Please contact the author of this content regarding this problem. Shockwave is unable to continue."
Shockwave will not load with Linux OS
Several users have reported that Shockwave and Linux are incompatible. As this may be a software conflict, there may be no fix for it.
"Error Loading XML"
Users are receiving the above error message. This may be caused by conflicts with Shockwave and users' firewalls.
Update: Zone Alarm and Zone Alarm Pro seem to be the main firewalls causing this error. There is no known fix for this at this time.
Upgrades without proper funding
Some users were affected by a glitch that allowed them to upgrade their homes without the proper amount of gold. Note that if you have been affected by this, you will not be banned. -kaia9
Houses are not saving
Houses are currently not saving changes. This is probably due to many users trying to access the feature at once.
Update: This should be fixed.
Buying items not deducting gold from accounts
Some users are reporting bought items not deducting gold from their accounts. This is just lag; your gold will show its correct value when the system refreshes.

If you are receiving an error message such as "Xtra," please read this article on Macromedia's webpage for information on how to update your Shockwave player to the appropriate version.

the good news:
the following issues have been fixed:
* suitcase problems (moving in and out)
* wall / floor tiles not being locked.
* loading housing and getting an all-white house, without any tiles. (or savedata)

the bad news:
unfortunately, all suitcase and savegamedata has been removed.
you will not lose any items, but, you will have to reload your suitcase, and re-setup your house.
