About how I run things
Q: Why are there only two/three slots?
A: Because I work eight hours between twice and five times a week, am researching graduate schools, work at another shop on Gaia, AND I'm a procrastinator as it is. I want to make sure I get each commission done and not drown in work or lose interest.
Q: Why does so-and-so have a slot before slots officially open?
A: Most likely because "so-and-so" snagged a slot the previous round and has been put on hold because s/he has yet to give their order form. These "reserved" slots will have no bearing on the number of slots available.
Q: How long will my commission take?
A: This will depend on what exactly you order, what priority your commission is (ie: it's a gift for someone, I need it SOON), and whether real life cooperates. The technical parts (ie sketching and coloring/inking) usually don't take long (about a day for each), but sometimes things come up. I'll try to get these done as quickly a possible.
Q: Can I commission multiple pictures with my slot/can I get more than one slot?
A: No, only one commission per slot, one slot per person. The only exception is claiming a slot for an absent friend in addition to yours.
Q: I ordered a chibi, but the picture doesn't LOOK very chibi. What's up?
A: That's a small quirk in my style. I'm not always able to get the "chibi-ness" of it and I tend to strive for proportion (so I'm really attempting to make the character look 4). Some pictures come out more "chibi" than others. What you're guaranteed to get is an EXTREMELY cute character. I'm working on fixing this, really.
Q: Will you accept items in payments?
A: Yes both store and donation. I'll try to keep up a list of stuff that I will. Non-store items are valued at mid Teh Guide.
Q: What happens if the value of the item I offered goes up/down while I'm waiting on my commission?
A: I will have to ask you to stay true to what you've offered/we've agreed upon. I'm sorry if this means you'll be losing a (newly) large investment; but it would be pretty much the same situation even if you received your commission before the prices when up. If the value goes down, congrats, you've gotten a Gaia discount.
Q: Um... what if I don't have the item offered any more?
A: Well, then you have two choices: either arrange to get another item or let me know and we'll see what we can work out. I'll probably be willing to accept the equivalent value in other items/gold, or up to 5k less the equivalent value if I've been keeping you waiting for quite a while (ie: several months).
Q: May I commission a picture as a gift for a friend?
A: Yes. Just let me know who to send the final picture to: either you to give to your friend yourself, or your friend to receive as a surprise in his/her PM box ( I will include a message that it's from you in this second case).
Q: May I claim a commission slot on behalf of a friend?
A: Yes. Just make sure your friend comes into the thread to post his or her order.
Q: Can I commission an R (or higher) -rated piece?
A: No. PG-13 is the farthest I'm going to go, sorry.
Q: May I resize/crop my commission to fit in an image map/graphical sig/my webpage/ect.?
A: If you have the programs to do so, that is fine as long as you credit me on the image. I offer resizing and different sizes for your convenience though.
Q: Um, I received a commission from you some time ago. Any chance I can get a bigger/smaller version of it?
A: Yes. I try to keep all of my layered files, and barring that my large flattened PSDs. Just let me know what size you need, and I'll get it sent to you at no extra charge.
Q: Hey! I have this contest banner in my sig. Wanna exchange links?
A: If doing so earns you points in the contest's referral/linking competition, then NO. I will only accept links from the OWNERS of these contests, or will put such links up on MY OWN because I want to.
Q: What if my question isn't answered by the first page?/I have a suggestion!
A: By all means, ask in the thread! I may add it to the front page. And I am very open to suggestions to improve my shop.
